Hidden secrets

Haseena:Chand,we have to warn Abhay.History cannot be repeated.You do remember what happened the last time, dont you?

Chand:Yes,I do.I didnt give much importance to his attraction towards Pia, even teased him about it.But now, we must take up this matter seriously.

Abhay(in a glum voice):I'm home.

Haseena:Whats wrong Abhay???

Abhay:There's just this extremely irritating new guy in college and...

Alice(coming in):And he was flirting outrageously with Pia and Bella.Edward didnt like this new character much either.

Emmett:Obviously Alice.

Haseena & Chand exchange a look.

Abhay:Excuse me, that was so not the reason.He was just really irritating, that's it.

Alice(whispers to Emmett):Yeah, he becomes irritating after a 15 min encounter.

Bella:Dont listen to them Auntie."Shaurya" is not a jerk.(glares at Abhay and Edward)

Haseena:Umm...guys there was somethinng that we needed to discuss with Abhay...

Jasper:Dont worry, we'll keep ourselves busy.

Everyone leaves.

Abhay(curiously):Kya hua?Wait a min...If you wanna talk about that Alice thing, I .......

Chand(interrupting him):Abhay, its important.You do remember what happened before.

Abhay stops and his face becomes expressionless.

Haseena:We didnt want to bring this up but, we dont want you getting close to another human and repeat the same mistake as...Maithili.

Abhay:Pia is in no way like that back stabbing,lying,bi---

Chand:Have you forgotten how childlike how innocent she looked the first time.

Abhay gives him a murderous look.

Chand:I'm not saying that Pia Jaiswal is the same as Maithili.Actually, she is not.But she's a human all the same.We'll have to leave this place soon.What will you do then?What will SHE do then???

Abhay is silent for a long time.Then in a defeated voice he says:You're right.I cant get close to anyone.(Gets up & goes away)

Haseena:Are we being selfish.

Chand:No we are doing this only because we do not want Abhay to be in the same state as before.Pia wont do to him what Maithili did, but if Abhay gets close to her and loses her in any way,he'll DIE.He really will.

What the Raichands hadnt realised was that Edward,Bella and Alice had heard everything.

Bella:What was that???

Edward:It seems like Abhay had a past with some girl called Maithili who is in some way connected to Pia.

Alice:But if Abhay stops talking to Pia, they'll both be heartbroken.

Edward:We have to help Abhay.

Bella:But how.

Edward(in a determined voice):First,we need to find out who Maithili is and what connection she has with Pia.For that,we need to break into his room.

In Abhay's room

Edward:Alice, keep watch while Bella and I search the room.

Bella:Hey guys, I found a box with a locket having Maithili's name.

Edward:Open it.

Bella opens the locket.

Alice(shocked):Its....Its...Pia!!!

Edward.Yes, sort of like her a 100 years ago with all these clothes on.She's a doppelganger of Maithili.

Alice:We have to find out who Maithili is and what she did to Abhay's family.

They search a bit more and find a very old diary.

Bella:Its Abhay's.But its wrong to read someone's diary.

Alice:Its important...

Edward:Hey look at this.This has stuff about his human life too.

They start to read the diary.

Alice:Look,Abhay updated his diary almost regularly.But here there's a gap of about a year.

Edward(reading ahead):Wait a sec...Its about his transformation and......MAITHILI!!!

My finals are coming up so my dad takes the laptop to office ans I get it only abt twice or so week.

Chapter 12

Abhay - Pia Milap Operation:Step 1

Some time later, the three of them sat quietly in Alice's room.Bella was almost in tears....

Abhay had lived last as a human, one night a century ago.He had been returning home alone when he was attacked by a vampire.His creator had left him counting his last breaths, lying in a pool of blood, thinking he was dead.Chand had found, changed and added him to his vampire family.That was all that was written of Abhay's transformation...

Abhay had met Maithili nine months after his transformation, in the time when humans hunted down vampires and burnt them to ashes.She had been beautiful, full of life and he had fallen in love with her.And she had said that she was in love with him too.One day, Haseena came running in a panic and said that they had to run away.It wasnt until later that she explained why.

Abhay was heartbroken to find out that Maithili was actually a vampire hater and part of the vampire slayers.She had been suspicious that he was one of the "accursed creatures" as she thought of them and had tracked down his human family.Her partners went and questioned them, but on getting no result, had ruthlessly killed them.

After that Maithili pretended to be in love with Abhay so that she could confirm her suspicions and after doing so, she had headed to his house, along with others like her to destroy their family. Luckily, Haseena came to know of her true colours and fled with her family.Maithili had died, but Abhay had to live with this betrayal forever.

Alice:This means that whenever Abhay sees Pia, he is...

Bella:...reminded of the love that betrayed him.And after today, he is going to start breaking all ties with her.Edward, we HAVE to do something.

Edward(grimly):We will Bella...We will....

Next day - The Cullens and Abhay reach Mount College

Pia:Hey guys...What's up?

Abhay:Excuse me.I have some work.

Alice(In her mind):Edward, Abhay - Pia Milap Operation Step 1:Jealousy...

Edward:Abhay - Pia Milap Operation???That is sooo lame.Couldnt you have thought of something better.

Alice:EDWARD!!!!

Edward:Ok, fine.(to Pia):Hey Pia, would you come to my car and help me a bit with History.

Bella(to Alice):Edward???THIS is your great idea.

Alice:Of course not!!!This is just to trigger up Abhay.The real Cupid's arrow...I'll release after that.

Pia(dumbgoundedly):Umm...Okay.

They go to Pia's car.

Abhay(angrily):Edward wants help in...HISTORY!!!

Rosalie:Why do you care.

Alice:Yeah.I thought you "hated" her.

Abhay:Uh...Yes of course.(Goes away from there)

Shaurya comes.

Shaurya(to Rosalie and Alice):Hey beauties.It's so unfair for the other girls.How can you be so beautiful?

Emmett:Hey Shaurya!Its so unfair.How can you be so ugly?

Shaurya:I'm not ugly.

Jasper(menancingly):You will be when I punch your face.

Shaurya:Hey, relax.(Turning to Bella):Hey gorgeous...You dont have a big buff boyfriend , do you?

Edward:Yes she has!!!

Shaurya:Where did you come from.Gosh, mujhe yahan ki ladkiyon par try nahi marna chahiye.Yahan par to sari ladkiyan big menancing boyfriens ke saath package deal mein aati hai.

Alice suddenly gets an idea.

Alice:Hey Shaurya!Why dont you try on Pia.She just has a sissy boyfriend.

Shaurya:Really!!!

Pia:Hey I'm standing here you know.And Kabir is not sissy.

Alice(to herself):Oh i know that.But he is busy being infatuated by that Vanshika since morning.There is no way he'll be useful to my plan.

Shaurya:Hey Pia right!!!Did I tell you that you are really pretty?

Pia:EXCUSE ME!!!

Shaurya:Aw...cmon.Mein tera hero, tu meri lady, ab karle pyaar already.

Pia:Shut up!!!And BTW, that was the lamest line EVER.(Walks away with Shaw following her)

Bella:Way to go Alice!!!

Alice:Hmm...Abhay Raichand.Lets see how you plan on escaping Cupid Alice and company's matching.
