Looking frantically between Daadimaa and Maan now, Geet finally stammers out "Daadimaa.....aap.....umm....nahi, nahi batayaa tha". At this, she finally just looks down, twisting the pallu of her sari in her hand. Though Maan was enjoying the movement of her hands, especially the beautiful glimpses of her waist which the movement was giving, he could not help but quick, "Agar Daadimaa jo keh rahe the woh sahi hai, toh tum inte din yahan pe thi toh bhi nahi jana ki tum kiske ghar mein ho". Saying this, he abruptly shuts up, knowing that he would have to contain his teasing or else he would not be able to confront her about last night but it was too much fun teasing her, seeing her so flustered, and at least he had finally gotten her to look at him. Though he did not know, if anger and incredulity was the feeling he was going for. The way she was looking at him left no doubt in his mind that he must be receiving quite a berating in her mind. Huum, maybe she will not say anything with Daadimaa here.

"Haan, Haan koi aapki ki madat kare toh, pehle yehi puchna chahiye na ki 'suniye waise toh thank you aapki help ke liye lekin mujhe aap bio data bhi chahiyega'. Kuch log shayad itna bhi nahi samajhte ki koi aap ke liye kuch kare toh bus thank you kehte hain, khas karke woh log joh aap ke liye itne apnepan se kuch kare tab" Saying this, she seems to run out of steam. Instead she just indicates a very amused lookin Daadimaa to come closer to her, leaing she whispers, "Waise aap sure haina ki yeh aapke pote hain, yeh toh itne Dushte Danav hai aur app kitne cool, mera matlab hai aap itni acchi hain aur Daadimaa dekho na abhi kitna ghoor rahe hain..". Glancing over at him, and seeing his expression at Geet's words, she quickly places a hand over her hand to keep in her laugh and making as sober a face as possible, she just nods her head and whispers back, "hain, waise toh maan humare pote hi hain. Aur tum chinta mat karo, woh Tumhe kuch bhi kahe, tum sidha mere paas shikayad leke aajana, main ushe daat dungi" Saying this, she tries to control her amusement and goes to sit by Maan again. She still had some teasing to do and some tasks to accomplish before she left the kithcen.

Placing a hand on his arm, she pulls his attention a little away from the spot where geet was bending down to grab the fallen laddle and washing it. "Waise aap aaj yahan kaise, aur aap yeh roses kaise le kar aaye, hum toh laga tha ki aap ko roses nahi pasand". Hearing this, Maan feels a little hesitant, but recovering as quick as possible, with only a light blush on his cheeks, he replies, "woh, kaka inhe andar la rahe the aur mein yahan aa reha tha tohh main hi leke aa gaya. I am sure aap ke liye honge, le ligiye" Stopping before he started prattling on like Geet, he slumps on his chair a little, hoping that Daadimaa buys that, well it was the truth mostly, and did not question any further as to his presence or anything as such. Why did he get the feeling that she was just geeting started. In order to divert her attention, he quickly asks, "Daadimaa waise yeh sab kya ho reha hai (slightly indicating toward the kitchen and Geet woh was again busy stirring the kheer) usually toh itna sab nahi banta, kya koi mehman aa rahe hain kya."

"Nahi, nahi, aaise toh koi baat nahi. I have been asking Geet since morning. Pata nahi aaj ishe kya ho gaya hai. Subha jaldi jaldi tayar ho gayi aur tab se kitchen mein kuch na kuch kar rahi hai. Pata hai, kaal raat bechaari pool mein ghiir gaye thi. Mein kaha ki aarama kare lekin she is insisting on cooking. But oddly, uska subhe se dhyan kahi aur hi hai. You saw when you came in, she was making potato chips for me aur unhe oven mein rakh ke baad mujhe yeh potato peels ka plate thama diya. (schooled innocent expression) Aap toh ishe gante hain, kya aap ko pata hai Maan, ki yeh inta distracted aur laal laal kyun hai kal raat se." Through this whole speech, his expression goes from questioning to curious to amused to smirked and triumphant and finally a schooled neutral. "Mujhe kaise pata, waise iske dimaag mein kya chalta hain, mere poochne par bhi nahi bolti" Throwing this down as a statement, answer and a challenge he goes back to looking at Geet, in time to see her pull the potatoes from the oven, season them and brign them over to Daadimaa.
Placing them quickly in front of Daadimaa, she glances briefly towards me from beneath her lashes. "Daadimaa, woh kheer ban gayi hai. Mein apne room mein, mera matlab hai woh kamre mein kuch bhool gayi thi, mein baas aati hoon" Saying this, she quickly flees from the room, not wanting to show her fluster, embarrasment, and her blushing to him. Hai Babaji, yeh sub kya ho raha hai.

Taking a bite of the chips, she keeps her-self from giving a victorious smile and just asks Maan to taste the delicious food. After a few minutes of watching him still staring after Geet, she decideds to prod him along and just says, "wasie yeh roses Geet ke room ke liye honge, aap ushe yeh de ke kyun nahi aate, mera matlab hai maine already aapne room mein flowers arrange kar liye hain, aap aisa kyun nahi karte Take these to her" Saying this, she deliberately keeps her gaze on the food, with only sly sidelong looks at him. Waiting only a few moments, he straightens and quickly gathers the roses in his hands, "aapki kehti hain toh mein de kar aata hoon". Saying this and without waiting for a reply, he almost half strides, half jogs after the flustered Geet.

Phoolon ke khwaabon mein aakar
Khushboo chura le gayi
Baadal ka aanchal bhi aakar
O paagal hawa le gayi
