Feeling restless from the night before, Maan was eager to face today. From what he had seen yesterday, She was here and she was staying Here. From what he had heard on the night of the accident and what he had know about Geet staying with someone she knew, he had never expected it to be here, in his house. Feeling foolish and a little embarrassed he thinks of how he had been avoiding Daadimaa and coming home, "Kash I had know" If only he had known that the object of his delight and his torment, his Geet, was staying only a few feet away. Actually, he did not know how he would have reacted, not known what his words would have been because he had been so deep in his denial. No, I needed the past couple of days to stop denying myself these feelings. Thinking these things, contemplating these matters, Maan is quick to get out of bed and get ready. Finally he had slept the night before after the torment of those restless nights; still he could not sleep much because he was too eager to see her, maybe even talk to her this time and find out the why's and how's that had arisen in his mind when he had realized she was truly here, But that was not as important as just seeing her to confirm that last night was not just another illusion and that the answer she had given was the truest one from her heart. He knew that though she might not say them again, he could read it in her eyes and in her actions. Getting ready, he eagerly strides towards the main house, a first after many denials to ever go to the main house. For a man who is always so observant, it comes as a surprise to him to bump into the gardener. Though it was not forceful enough to harm either one, he had startled the old man into dropping the flowers which he was carrying.
Quick to realize his actions, he eagerly helps the man gather the flowers again and ask if he requires any assistance. "Nahi Maan Baba, bas yeh pink roses ghar mein leja reha tha, Geet bitiya ko bohot pasand hai isliye". Hearing the gardener speak so fondly of Geet, Maan is amused and happy to see that she seems to enamor people so quickly. "Kaka, aap aisa kijiye, phool mujhe dedijiye mein de doonga, aap ja kar thoda aram kijiye". Saying this, Maan is quick to take the flowers from him and starts to move towards the house once again, before the old man can protest. Reaching the house, he takes a moment to breath and enters the house. There he is surprised to see no one at the breakfast table, if he knew Daadimaa's schedule then she should have been in the formal dining area having breakfast. It comes to his attention though that she might have slept in since it was the weekend and she had been up late yesterday, plus it would have added to his already racing heart's embarrasment to be caught with these flowers. Realizing that he did not know where Geet was staying in the mansion and he had yet to figure out the best way to give these roses to her, he decides to head towards the kitchen area and have some coffee before working up the nerve to ask someone where she was. As he is nearing the kitchen, he is surprised the sound of laughter wafting from there. On observation he quickly recognizes the 2 voices and as if drawn in a trance, walks towards them.
When he reaches the kitchen, it is to find it an a slight disarray with several items cooked or cooking. Daadimaa is the first to see him. She is sitting at the small dining table, still quietly chuckling and holding what looks like a plate full of potato peels. Raising his eye brows slightly he touches her feet and indicates towards Geet and the kitchen. Turning his attention back to Her, he sees that she was trying to reach for some spice at the top shelf and so with her back to him, she had not noticed him yet. Again this morning she was dressed in a beautiful sari, this time the same color as the roses he was carrying. Again loosing breath, he quickly sets the roses down on the table and strides forth to help her. Quickly sliding behind her, he grabs the tin she was reaching for and slowly places it on the counter near her. He feels the instant she becomes aware of his presence, in the way her body coils slightly and sways back a little. Taking a moment to linger in her scent, he once again backs away becoming aware of Daadimaa's presence.
As he takes a seat next to Daadimaa, he sees that she still has not turned around and was busy adding spices to what looked like kheer. "Maan beta aap ko pata nahi hum aaj kitne khus hain ke aap hume breakfast pe join kiya. Waise tum Geet ko toh jaante ho, I hope you don't mind that she stays here. Aur, I hope you don't mind ke maine ushe tumhara kamra de diya" A loud clanging is heard as the laddle that Geet was using, falls to the ground. Whirling around, her eyes dart between Maan and Daadimaa. Finally keeping her wide eyes on Daadimaa, and still unable to look at Maan, she starts stammering, 'woh.....woh...inka kamra....". Eyes getting still wider, she does not quite finish her statement. "hain mera kamra, Tumhe...."before he can finish his sentece, Daadimaa gets up, placing the dish of peels in the sink, she goes to Geet and touches her arm, "Haan beta, woh kya haine ke Maan kabke out house mein move ho gaye the, isliye......(Geet still looking confused)......Beta humne aap ko batay nahi tha ke hum Maan ki Daadimaa hain".
