Writer's Note

They say, couples are made in heaven, but here is a couple that realizes the importance of being together after falling apart and then dying everyday to live while living every breathe for the sake of each other's. yeah, you got it right, they are not made for each other, instead they LIVE and LOVE for each other.

They, themselves know that as long as they hold each other's hands nothing can break them apart, still being in this life, they stay away from each other. They themselves face the excruciating pain of separation for the life of other.

Prologue

The rains are pouring heavily, strong enough to put any mortal in fear and let them run for covers. But there are a few chivalrous beings who prepare to stay outside as the weather gets worsened with each moment.

Chapter 7

Geet is standing in rain outside her cottage. The heavy downpour has blurred her vision. Even without rain, nowadays she can't see things properly. Over the week, whatever has happened left her in deep anguish, pain and agony. Even the cold weather and chilly air had no effect on her, the cold heart that she had got now. The frozen emotions and everything that has happened in the past week had left her exhausted. She has been fine from outside but had went through a lot. She worked as if she was a machine. Her eyes, her senses all had lost the feeling of charm and beauty. Her innocence was replaced by a straight and stark face. She was no longer the chirpy girl from Hoshiarpur. Her fate had twice deceived her. Twice had she died and then again forced to live on the earth. Months before, she fought with great courage against her own family and declared herself "dead" for her family but A week before she died for herself also.

For a layman, she was a normal human, and a very beautiful women in her prime too, but it was just Geet who knew, that she was empty from inside. As if someone had scooped out her inside, re-stitched her whole skin.

She stood quietly in the rain, all the week's events reeling before her eyes.

That day too, there were heavy rains, and it was impossible to reach home,The roads were logged with water and rains blocked all the possibility to see through even 1 metre ahead in that weather, both M & G decided to stay back in the office and had dozed off on the sofa. Geet's head rested on Maan's shoulder and their hands on other's hand,holding on tightly for support.

Suddenly Maan's phone buzzed and to his surprise Munshiji had called from Hoshiarpur, he at once picked up the phone, Munshiji told him to come to Hoshiarpur, as soon as possible.it was very urgent.

Due to sudden noises Geet also woke up, and asked him what happened.

Maan said"oh its nothing. I have to go away for five days on a business tour."

"But all of a sudden where you have to go?", a confused Geet shot back.

"Geet, I am going to ..", but the last words stuck in his mouth, as if someone had chocked him.

Geet got restless and asked, "Where? Maan, where are you going to?"

Maan decided that he can't tell her about Hoshiarpur. He had seen Geet turn pale each time someone mentioned the name of Hoshiarpur. The place had given her many bitter experiences and painful memories and he didn't want to hurt her after yesterday's events.

So he instead changed the topic and said,"Geet,don't you want to go home? It's a good day today and Sunday is meant for complete rest. I'll drop you to your place. And, Geet as I'll not be present for tomorrow's presentations, you have to take care of that."

M & G went to the parking lot, Maan took the car out and drove Geet back to her home. The drive to the home was quiet. Maan sensed that something was bothering Geet since morning, but he let it go off. Might be the lack of sleep that's making her look very vulnerable, he shuddered with the thought.

Geet was still in a bit confused state, not able to come to face the cruel joke that reality was playing on her. Yeah, this was it, her life'. the destiny had indeed made her a rag doll, putting her from one side to another as it wished, mocking her life, making herself everyone else's laughing stock!!! But, what was she thinking now, she snapped her thoughts and muttered "Okay", more to herself than to Maan.

Maan asked, "What?"

Geet:Nothing, just that I'll handle the project.

She said with a sweet smile and the optimism that was contrary to what she was thinking of all this while.

Maan:Love you, Geet. I know you can handle the project, I'll tell Adi about the meeting and he'll definitely help you out.

He told Geet, as their car jerked to a halt as they had reached Geet's place.

Geet:Yeah, sure.

Geet got out of the car and Maan waved her from behind,"Have a nice day, dear!!".

Geet smiled back and said, "Goodbye"

Maan was amused for a while by the GOODBYE that she had said as the parting words, smirked a little and put his thoughts away. "Got to work fast to reach Hoshiarpur today..",he thought to himself and drove back on the way to his home.

Nice update! So, there's a new twist.......Geet's unresponsiveness......her Goodbye.......his thinking about it........can't wait to read the next part........it sounds damn interesting! Do continue soon!
