sooo sorry i didnt comment on the last part but someone in my family died and so have been trying to deal with that 😔

as always this part was brilliant specially the terrace scene👍🏼

aww the hug was soo sweet even if it was a "friendly hug"!!

cant wait until ridhimma decides to face her feelings for armaan and tell him..but till then i am perfectly fine with scenes like these😉

it was shoooo cute how she felt all secure with him!!!

the best part was when THE armaan malik was nervous.. cant imagine that

I am glad you liked the part! hehe, yeah, I was dying to write a part in which Armaan turns all possessive and concerned for her, so I am gad you liked it!😃 I always thought that chemistry can be build better if both the POV's are shown, and so that is exactly what I wanted for my story...sure in some instances I show the same incident happening in different POV's, but I love writing how different or similar each are...Nikki is going to be stuck in this marriage mess for sometime...but don't worry everything will soon fall into place😊 thanks for the lovely comment!

Part 28

Quickly parking the car into the driveway, Armaan undid the seatbelt, and bolted out of the car.

He wished he could go back in time, and change the way he had reacted with Nikki. He knew that there was no excuse for the rude way he had behaved with her, when all she wanted to do was discuss her problems. If she wasn't going to discuss the problems with him, then who else would she have to discuss them with?

Coming to the house, he turned the knob of the door, and opened it quickly.

He walked inside, and saw that Nikki was awkwardly sitting on the couch, opposite two men, who were glancing around the house, their eyes resting on him when they heard the door open.

Both of them stood up, and nodded with a smile in his direction. Armaan noticed that even though both were brothers, there were no common features that stood out. The shorter one had longish hair, while the taller one was dressed smartly in a suit, his hair short and slightly sticking up in spikes. The shorter one was fairer than the taller one, and was wearing a shirt with jeans, his shirt slightly tucked in. Armaan smiled back, and looked at Nikki who looked like she was about to cry.

Swallowing, Armaan turned back towards the two men, and said,

"Hi, I am Armaan. Nikki's-"

"very good friend" He was cut off by Nikki who had stood up and was looking at the two men, completely ignoring Armaan's confused look.

Very good friend? What are you playing at Nikki? Armaan thought, as he turned back to the two men, his smile deepening to confirm the words of Nikki.

The two men nodded and shook his hand.

"This is Raj" Nikki said, as she pointed to the shorter one "and this is Deepak" she said, as she pointed to the taller of the two.

Armaan led them to the couch, and sat opposite to them, putting his hands out in front of him, he was surprised however, when Nikki came and sat down next to him...very close to him.

He gave her another look, however she ignored that too. Clearing his throat slightly, Armaan turned to the two guys, and decided to get to know them.

Ridhima walked into the bathroom, and turned the taps to fill the bathtub.

Grabbing her night clothes, she quickly got a towel, slipped out of her clothes, and got into the tub.

Giving a sigh of contentment, she laid her head back and closed her eyes.
She couldn't help but think about the whole day, about how both Armaan and Ridhima had managed to save the baby and the mother, how they had hugged twice in one day, how Armaan had been concerned for her…about everything.

Ridhima had a huge smile on her face, her eyes still closed. Ridhima had to admit, there was something. She knew that she…well, she liked him. She knew that, but to the extent to which she liked him, was unknown to her.

And it frightened her slightly, she wasn't sure if she was ready for a relationship.

But you don't even know if he is into you

Ridhima frowned as that thought came into her head. Of course! How could she be so foolish! She had no idea how he felt. He gave her two hugs, many dimpled smiles, a bit of concern and she was already planning their relationship.

He was far closer to Nikki than he was to her. Their hugs meant nothing, their interactions meant nothing and they meant nothing.

Stop being foolish Ridzi. Armaan and you are just friends. Just friends, nothing more.

Armaan noticed the odd stares he had been getting throughout the night from Raj, and it was starting to get to him. What was Nikki playing at? And why couldn't Raj stop staring, no rather, glaring at him?

"Anyway, it was nice meeting you, Armaan, and it was a pleasure getting to know you Nikita" Deepak said, as he got up and everyone followed suit.

"It was nice meeting you Deepak" Armaan said, while Nikki just smiled at him.

Armaan nudged her slightly and she finally said,

"It was nice meeting you too Deepak"

Armaan had to refrain from rolling his eyes at her monotonous tone. Armaan led the two to the front door, and held it open for them.

"See you Armaan, Nikita" Deepak said, as he walked out.

"Yeah man, See ya" Raj mumbled as he followed his brother.

Armaan gave them a polite smile, and waved goodbye at them as they sat down in their own car and drove away.

Armaan shut the door, and saw Nikki sitting on the couch, looking at the ceiling relieved.

"Well, that wasn't awkward at all" Nikki said sarcastically.

"Well, maybe if you had put in a bit of effort, it could have gone better!" Armaan chided her.

"Armaan! I don't even like him, and I don't want to get married to him, so this was my subtle way of letting him know that I hate him" Nikki said as she adjusted herself on the couch so she was facing him.

Armaan rolled his eyes as he sat on the couch opposite hers.

"Nikki, what's going on in that little head of yours?" Armaan asked her suspiciously as he remembered how oddly Nikki had behaved with him throughout the night.

Nikki immediately looked into his eyes, and looked away as quickly. Rolling her eyes she said,

"arrey woh chodo, you tell me. What was so important with Miss Ridhima Gupta that you had to leave your best friend alone in crisis?"

Armaan did not let his expression waver, however he did raise an eyebrow.

"Nikki, stop changing the subject and tell me exactly what have you got brewing in that non-existent mind of yours" Armaan said, and ducked to dodge the cushion that was thrown at him, followed by an indignant "hey!"

"Shut up Armaan, and it was nothing. Just harmless stuff, okay?" Nikki said
shrugging, not looking at him in the eye.

"Nikita" Armaan said warningly.

Nikki sighed and scowled up at him. "Don't use my full name like that"

"Nikita" Armaan said again.

"Alright, alright, jeez! I was wondering…er…woh…erm…Armaan, I am your best friend na?" Nikki asked as she fiddled with the cushion in her hand.

"Yeah…" Armaan said suspiciously.

"So, that means that you would do anything for me, right?" Nikki said, looking at him hopefully.

"Depends on what it is" Armaan said, leaning forward slightly.

"Armaan, will you be my boyfriend?" Nikki said in a rush.


Well...here is the part...I hope you all enjoyed it...I know it was really short, but I have an exam tomorrow, and this was all that I managed to finish..anyway, please don't forget to comment, they make my day! 😃
