Character sketch of Armaan Mallik.
[Armaan Mallik]: A just turned 18 year old teenager studying currently in 12th commerce. A flirt who always believed in harmless flirting coz it never caused any harm.
He always respected women, and never thought dirty of them. But for spice in life he flirted, because currently he is single. A little naughty, a lot serious in life and damn humorous. He had a little bit if everything and he liked everything that had a little bit of everything, whether it was books or people he came through. Living with his uncle [dad's brother] and his wife and 10 yr old cousin in Mumbai, he was more than satisfied.
Note: hey guys and a small thing. Riddhima has been described a lot differently by me for this story. She is different compared to our DMG Riddhima.
Okay so the next part below... enjoy...
Recap:
Finally finished and deciding what brand he wanted to buy, he was on his way to the billing counter. To reach there he had to cross the shampoo section.
He stopped dead in his tracks.
Part 3: B
He saw that a little baby about six months was crawling on the floor opposite the shampoo section where a lot of tinned food stuff were stacked on shelves and a tin of condensed milk was about to fall from the shelf right onto the baby. Riddhima had seen it to. They had to react in a split second, either save the baby or stop the tin from falling. Both reacted instantly and both had the idea of saving the tin from falling on the baby. Riddhima who had come running from the shampoo section and Armaan who came from the billing counter and he had almost stopped the jar from falling but in haste to also stop himself from stepping on the baby he fell sideways and in hurry save himself he had to caught onto something. Riddhima, who had successfully stopped the tin from Armaan's failed attempt to stop it from falling, screeched loudly as he had caught her hand to save himself.
THUD!
Riddhima fell to the ground helplessly because she couldn't do anything about it, and Armaan who got a little lucky this time fell on her completely.
This was the moment. His eyes locked into hers and he found that he couldn't shift his eyes from her gaze that was so confusedly staring at him. He had never seen eyes as attractive as hers. A thin black liner was traced above her eye lashes. He didn't budge. Suddenly her gaze shifted a little left and above and saw that the tin was about to fall again, and this time it would fall on this bozos head she thought. Hurriedly reacting she put her hands around his neck and caught the tin of condensed milk that finally was successful in its attempt to fall. His complete weight on her was what Riddhima couldn't bear. He was so heavy. Man those biceps and body really weighted a lot she thought.
Suddenly a pleasant laughter rang through their ears. Finally he shifted his gaze from her eyes as she looked for the source of the pleasant laughter. He had shifted his gaze to see the source too. That little baby who had no idea of what happened was laughing out looking at Armaan and Riddhima. They smiled looking at the innocent baby.
Finally getting of the ground and giving a hand to pull Riddhima up which she gratefully took.
She kept back the tin of condensed milk and lifted the baby of the ground. Armaan was still a little dazed, and then noticed Riddhima for the very first time.
He noticed that she was tall slim and slender, had skin that was clean and flawless like milk, he estimated that she was not from here and had been brought up some where in abroad. He noticed her reddish black neat sorted curly hair that was almost as long as her mini dress.
Riddhima was busy with the baby and even looking around for the babies' mother.
The baby was happy with her; he laughed and smiled from ear to ear.
Finally turning to Armaan she asked "do u know who this baby belongs too"? She doesn't look like your baby for sure, she added smiling.
Armaan: [coming back to his senses] Ah? no he doesn't belong to me [returning the smile]
A little distance away they heard someone saying calm down ma'am we will find the baby.
Understanding that the baby belonged to that lady they both made their way to her and handed the baby.
Oh boy was she happy. She blessed them saying 'May God bless you and keep you both together forever'
Both being a little speechless at this comment, simply smiled at that lady thanked her for her blessings and walked back to the shampoo section.
Armaan: thanks for saving my head from that tin [being grateful]
Riddhima: oh no problem at all. [Smiling]
Armaan: I'm sorry that I fell on you? I didn't mean to? in haste to catch something I caught your hand. It was not intentional.
Riddhima: I understand. It's not a problem. You don't have to be sorry. I would have done the same.
Riddhima and Armaan bent down together to pick up the after shave, shaving lotion and the razor and banged their heads.
Riddhima: ouch.
Armaan: Aao.
"Sorry" they said together and smiled at the coincidence.
Riddhima: I better carry on, its getting late, and I will Atleast need an hour to get through the billing counter since its christmas season and another half an hour to get my billing done [indicating the two trolleys of things she had picked from the shop] and I have few things more to purchase.
Armaan: oh yeah sure. Thank you again. [A little amazed looking at the trolleys.]
Riddhima: no problem. Bye.
Armaan: Bye.

With that she went back to the shampoo counter. He was done with what he had to buy but he didn't want to go to the billing counter he some how wanted to stay back with this girl whose name he yet didn't know, So he stayed back and was randomly checking out the gents shampoos constantly looking at her every 1 min or so.
It was now that he had noticed her in full detail.
Oh God she's so pretty. Those white milky legs and black ankle tying heels she wore matched her black velvety dress so well. The best he liked was the white satin overcoat she wore that was a little shorter from her midriff. Unknowingly staring at her a little more than normal and he came back to his senses.
What wrong with you Armaan Mallik? You don't fall for girls they fall for you? right? So stop staring at her man, he thought. He shook his head a little to get himself normal.
Then she went a little that side to the same counter where she had thought of buying coconut milk.
A little distance away a guy was staring at her intently. Armaan felt like crushing that guy like paper. Nevertheless he waited preparing himself. Not noticing any of this and buried in checking for the expiry date of coconut milk tin. That guy stepped closer to where she was standing; he came closer until there was a difference of about 5 steps distance from Riddhima and him.
Then deliberately and out of the blue he pretended as if he had tripped and fell directly on Riddhima from behind, she lost her balance and steadied herself holding onto the rack.
Armaan took a few quick steps towards them but Riddhima put up her palm up clearly showing that she could handle it. So there she stood facing this guy.
He didn't see how she could handle it. That guy who looked like so big that Riddhima looked like a matchbox in front of him. Armaan heard that guy saying "oh madam? my leg slipped and I toppled over loosing my balance?by the way what's your name? Mine is TJ for Tarun Jain he said grinning stupidly.
He had spoken a little too soon. Armaan knew it, and that little doubt Riddhima had about whether he had really tripped or whether it was on purpose was confirmed. It clearly stated that he had done it on purpose. She gave that guy a sarcastic smile and slowly turned back facing the rack. She had hardly turned to the counter and before even Armaan knew it she planted a fully fledged fist that crossed right through Tarun's mouth and this time he really fell over onto the floor.
Armaan was so amazed that he stood there with his mouth slightly open with amazement. That guy was on the floor a trickle of blood now poring out if his mouth and nose. Some people gathered there including the mall guiders, but Riddhima was least bothered?
She walked up to that guy with that same sarcastic smile edged on her face and said, 'usually when you fall suddenly you are quiet flustered and things like what's your name don't cross your mind. Those things come a little later on in mind you know. Generally after you have excused yourself you say Sorry or end with a Sorry. So next time you try stunts like that remember what I said. Or maybe you ought to think 10 times before repeating that. After this experience you may not want to try those old tricks anymore. Why don't you try and think of something new? Your ideas are as old and outdated like this coconut milk tin'. Giving one last murderous stare, she walked to Armaan and normally spoke as if nothing had happened.
Riddhima: heyy if you have no problem could you help me to take this trolley till the billing counter??
Armaan stared at her for 10 full seconds..?
Riddhima noticing that smiled and said. Hello? Come back to earth?
Armaan; haan yeah ?so sorry ?I would be glad to help.
Riddhima: great? thank you.
After reaching the counter.
Riddhima: thank you so much again. You can carry on with your shopping.
Armaan: ah no it's ok? I'm done with mine. And I better wait here. The waiting lines on other counters are longer.
Riddhima: since you have just hardly anything to bill I guess you'd better stand in front of me.
Armaan: no thank you madam. I follow the policy of ladies first.
Riddhima: that's not the case here.
Armaan: yes it is.
Riddhima: no it isn't.
After a few more yes it is and no it isn't Riddhima gave up.
Riddhima: I give up.
Armaan: ha?I win. By the way, it was just cool the way you whacked that guy [appreciatively]
Riddhima: yeah..? You think so..? I guess I could have done way better. I didn't give it all I have.
Armaan: don't be silly. And I guess what you gave him was enough. Poor chap. You should have seen his face.
Riddhima: it was not worth seeing you know. Ugly bozo [making a dirty face]
They both laughed at that. After they subsided he put his hand forward and said.
Hi I'm Armaan, Armaan Mallik? I guess its safe now to ask? [Grinning]
She smiled; he took that smile she gave as a positive thing.
And then taking his hand she said, Riddhima, Riddhima Sharma.
Armaan: cool name. Very uncommon! But your kind is not seen every other day you know?
Riddhima: not seen every other day? My kind? You mind explaining?
Armaan: well you usually see girls in all this sexy mini wear but all roadside stuff, like faded jeans or faded jeans skirts mini skirts, but you are exceptional? sophisticated wear, classy and that is like wow.
Riddhima: now wait a second Mr. Mallik, if m not wrong, either your flirting with me, or trying to impress me, Right?
Armaan: you caught me [grinning]
Riddhima: [giving an obvious smile] I must say I am impressed, Very safe flirting. You don't fall in trouble like that. Interesting! And not to forget to mention I think even you dressing sense is better than other bozos. [Pointing out at his branded jeans and sleeveless jacket]
Armaan: no offense, but you must be very used to all this Na? I mean getting teased and flirted with?
Riddhima: not offended or anything. And honestly speaking all this doesn't matter to me. There are more imp things in life. Things more than outside beauty which lacks in my life.
Armaan: something lacks in my life too. But everything is not perfect. And life is definitely not perfect.
Riddhima: hmm ? [lost in her own thoughts]
