Armaan: tumhe yaad hai jab humari shaadi hui thi tab tumhe kaise seduce kiya tha mujhe?
Riddhima: haan..toh main kya karti. Tum toh jaise mujhe bhool hi gayye te aur kaam se pyaar ho gaya..toh mujhe kuch karna hi tha.
Armaan: Lekin main toh poori tarah se seduce ho gaya. But I loved it haan. Uske baad toh tumne seduce hi nahi kiya.
Riddhima: kya karoon? zaroorat nahi padi.[laughing]
*FLASHBACK*
The smell of the fresh paint was even on after 3 months of shifting into Mallik Manor. The month being March was slowly heating up the weather. It was get hotter day by day.
Riddhima was sitting in her new luxurious apartment reading a magazine with a tensed expression on her face and hardly even swallowing what she was reading, because she constantly looked towards the door every 10 seconds or so. Then distracted from the noises coming from the cradle that lay beside her she got and picked up the tiny little infant from it. (Arima)
Riddhima: Arey hungry again my baby? But just you finished having milk Na? Its ok, I'll bring another bottle but till then you will have to wait. [Putting Arima back in the cradle]
Getting the lukewarm milk she came out of the kitchen to see Muskaan and Rahul having a jolly time with the baby, and the baby was no less as it enjoyed their company because normally on working days the baby would be at Muskaan's place.[Rahul and Muskaan were just engaged, yet to be married] . Giving the bottle to Muskaan who immediately started feeding the baby who instantly kept quiet and got intent into drinking the milk.
Riddhima: arey Atul aur Anjali Kahan hai?
Muskaan: arey who toh Bangalore gayye hai, Maine bataya na abhi ek gante pehle, phone par.
Before Riddhima could answer.
Rahul: kya hua Riddhima? Tu theek toh hai? [Sitting down next to her and asking her the question seeing her tense expression]
Muskaan: haan yaar Ridhzi. Kya hua?
Riddhima: I don't know how to say ya?
Muskaan: kya problem hai? Armaan ne kuch kia kya?
Riddhima: yehi toh problem hai, who kuch karta hi nahi hai?
Rahul: kya? Main samja nahi.
Muskaan who understood what Riddhima was telling: Lekin shaadi se pehle toh tum log har kone main chupke chupke romance kiya karta Te. Har jagah har samay situations KO ignore karte hue. Toh ab kya hua.
Rahul who now started to understand the situation: iska matlab ab woh Sab kuch nahi raha?
Riddhima nodded a little embarrassed.
Rahul: kab se Chal raha hai ye?
Riddhima: 3 months back when we got married, hum log ek mahine ke liye Paris aur London gayye Te?honeymoon ke liye.
Rahul and Muskaan: haan. Phir?
Riddhima: tab Sab kuch theek tha...I mean normal like romance aur who Sab kuch tha, aur jab hum waapis aaye bhi toh Sab theek tha. Lekin ek mahine se jabse humne waapis kaam jaana shuru kiya aur jabse Armaan ko promotion Mila hai [Assistant to the Chairman] tab se who busy rehta hai, hamesha kaam main. Mujhe toh who waqt hi nahi deta. Pehle toh office main bhi official envelope se mujhe pyaar ke batein bheja karta tha [blushing a little] Lekin ab ek bhi nahi aata. Har letter jo aata hai kaam ke silsilay main hota hai. [pouting]
Riddhima and Armaan worked for the same airline company. Riddhima worked because she loved to do so. She was working under Armaan. Like a personal secretary. She was the head of the board of directors. He who had got a promotion as the post of the assistant to the chairman got himself engaged in work and unknowingly ignored Riddhima.
Riddhima: pehle toh hum log bedroom main ek doosre ko pillows marte te aur ek doosre ko chase kiya karte te aur phir jab hum tired hote aur phir?.[she looked helplessly to Rahul and Muskaan a little embarrassed that she had gone a little too far]
Rahul and Muskaan stared back at Riddhima with their mouths a little open and Arima who had almost fallen asleep again, she was 4 months and was hardly awake.
Riddhima: arey assey mat dekh yaar, koi upay to soch Na mereliye? Main kya karoon? Isiliye toh Maine bulaya hai tum logo KO. Aaj Sunday hai tum aur main free hai toh socha Aaj tumhe bata Doon.
Rahul and Muskaan went into thought. And few minutes later Muskaan started her full speed jet laugh. Riddhima and Rahul stared at her.
Riddhima: arey Muskaan yeh kya hua tumhe? Main problem main hoon aur tum ho ki has rahi ho.
Muskaan: arey Ridhzi [still laughing] yeh plan hi kuch aisa hai.Suno!
With that she got up, placed the sleeping Arima back into the cradle and whispered her plan into Riddhima's ears.Riddhima's face lighted up to here the plan.
Riddhima: arey yeh kaam to karega Na..? I mean office main?
Muskaan: arey problem kya hai. Waise bhi tumhare office toh shaam KO saat baje khatam hota hai. Uske baad toh sirf tu aur Armaan wahan hai Na. phir ab problem kya hai..?
Riddhima: theek hai main koshish karoongi.
Rahul: arey Lekin plan kya hai? [A bit confused at the girl talk]
Muskaan: mere pyaare would be husband [pinching his cheeks] main raaste main bataongi. Ab chalo. Ridhzi Hume chalna hai. Mujhe rahul ke parents KO Aaj milna hai. Ok?
Riddhima: yeah thanks a lot Muskaan [hugging her].
Muskaan: mention not, dost kyun hote hai? Chaki peesne ke liye? [Making all laugh]
Riddhima: theek hai.bye...
Muskaan: bye Ridhzi... all the best [giving her a thumbs up and a wink]
At 9:30 the next day.
The next day at work after all had left the office and as Armaan had gone away from his cabin for sometime Riddhima just grabbed the opportunity she decorated the whole of his cabin with those nice red ribbons that stood like curls and a few flowers here and there and a drink on his table next to the PC.
Mr.Armaan Mallik, Assistant to the chairman she said picking up the name plate from the table and reading it.
You're in for a surprise she thought.
She started to walk out of the cabin. She gave one last sweeping glance to the room and walked out and sat in her cabin. A knock on her door indicated that Armaan had been back in the office.
"come in"
Armaan entered the room obviously tired but looking dashing as ever in the silk shirt he wore underneath his suit. As usual he had the top 3 buttons of his shirt open.
MRs.Mallik"could I have mr.kapoor's file"
Sure sir she said standing up. Why don't you proceed to the cabin? I'll get it for you.
He left to his cabin. In the office they were strictly professional. But this sir and Mrs. Mallik thing was not needed when no one was in the office she thought.
She looked at her watch. It was 10:05.
She started giving her countdown as to when he may call.
10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-
Ring Ring. she gave an obvious smile.
The caller ID of the office phone in her cabin showed the number of Armaan's cabin.
Riddhima: yes sir [picking up the phone]
Armaan: I want you in my cabin now Riddhima.
Riddhima: yes Armaan I will be there.
Picking up Mr. kapoor's file from the table she walked to his cabin. On the way she thought. My plan is already working. From Mrs.mallik to Riddhima. Not bad she thought.
She knocked. Sir? Can I come in? she said to Armaan back that was facing her.
Armaan who was scandalized looking at his cabin turned around and stood X-Raying what he saw. Oh my God Riddhima! Was all he managed to say.
