~~~ Part 7 ~~~
Armaan hears Riddhima singing, and is mesmerized. He tries to go closer to that he can see her face, but is still unable to. Suddenly, a gust of wind comes and blows Riddhima's dupatta off her neck. But she doesn't notice it because she is busy talking to Kannav. The dupatta instead blows over to Armaan, and lands on his face.
Armaan moves the dupatta away, and tries to at least catch a glimpse of the girl's face. Finally, he is able to see her.
As Armaan looks at Riddhima, he just does not keep on looking, but, he imagines her with him. Singing to him, swaying to the music, just as she is now. Riddhima finishes talking to Kannav and goes inside the house. Meanwhile, Armaan who was in sort of a trance, snaps awake, realising that she is not there, in front of his eyes anymore.
He manages to climb over the wall, and goes over to the door where Riddhima went in. He tries knocking on the door, hoping that Riddhima herself will come and open it sometime soon. After some time of knocking, someone does come and open the door. However, that someone is not Riddhima, like Armaan has hoped. Instead, it's Nisha.
Looking at Nisha, Armaan gets disappointed.
Armaan (thinking to himself): Arre. Yeh toh Nisha ka ghar hai. Mujhe yeh baat yaad kaise nahin rahi? Iski toh ek hi behen hai. Woh bhi judwaa. Shayad main us pari si ladki ko apne hi sapnon mein dekh raha tha. Lekin yeh dupatta, jo mere haath mein hai? Haan, shayad Nisha ke ghar ki kisi khidki se udh gaya hoga.
Nisha is looking at Armaan, waiting for him to say something, but he is busy in his own thoughts. She gets tired of waiting for him, so she takes the dupatta from his hands, and that movement wakes him up from those thoughts.
Armaan points at the dupatta, then at Nisha, in his way of asking her if this dupatta is hers. Nisha replies with a "yes", unsure of what he is asking, and why he wants to know whose dupatta it is. Armaan disappointed, goes back to his home.
Yet, he still keeps thinking about that "angel" he had seen earlier, singing so beautifully, that even he was so encaptured by her melodious voice, perhaps way before her beauty did the same. As he goes to sleep, he even dreams about her, waking up in the middle of the night, and hence thinking that he is dreaming. And dreaming about some stranger that is, and thus, going mad.
But little does Armaan know that, love is also a type of madness, and a disease, whose bug has already bitten him.
The next day...
Armaan is sleeping peacefully, when his best friend, and adopted brother, Atul, comes bounding into the room.
Atul: Armaan! Armaan! Utho!
Armaan doesn't get up, instead making whatever noises he can, showing his disapproval of Atul waking him up so early.
Atul: Chal mere bhai! Aaj cricket ka match hai. Humein khelna hai. Agar hum aaj ki match jeet gaye, toh kal bhi khel sakte hain. Come on!
After a lot of pushing, pulling, and tugging her and there, Armaan finally gets up, showing complete annoyance at Atul for waking him up from such a beautiful "dream" in which he saw a beautiful face - a dream, and a face that could have almost been real, lasted longer, for his enjoyment, had Atul not woken him up.
But, getting up and ready, that, Armaan does, though quite unwillingly. He and Atul head over towards a quite large enough, but bare and rough field, on which they play cricket with the other village boys, their age, and also younger, and older.
Armaan, who usually bats well, scoring quite a few runs, and bowls even better, hardly giving any extras to the opponent team, and bringing down quite a few wickets too, in a single match; this time, gives more-than-usual extras, and scores less-than-usual wickets and runs.
Atul, does know this is happening because he is distracted, so halfway during the match, when there is a break, Atul takes Armaan aside, and tries to ask him why he is not able to concentrate and do as well as his usual. Armaan tells his all about the previous night, and Atul, in turn, explains everything to him; that he could not have just imagined her, if not, she would not have just appeared in his dreams, especially if he was wide awake, and suddenly, not exist anymore.
{guyys... plz remember tt throughout, Armaan is talking in sign language, but since neither you nor i know sign language that well, i'll just write the dialogues in normal (hindi) so tt it's easier for us all to understand...}
Atul: Armaan, woh ladki sacchi mein hai.
Armaan: Pata hai woh ladki sacchi mein hai, lekin sacchi mein mere khwaabon mein hi hai.
Atul: Nahin, woh is duniya mein sacchi mein hai. Woh ek zinda insaan hai, Armaan.
Armaan: Toh, woh mere khwaabon mein aakar har waqt mujhko sataati kyun rehti hai?
Atul: Kyunki ab tak tu usse milaa nahin. Armaan, this girl does exist. Bas, yahaan, sirf tumhein, aur woh bhi tumhare khwaabon mein dikhaayi deti hai, kyunki bhagwan tumhein koi ishaara de raha hai.
Armaan: Kya ishaara?
Atul: Shayad yeh ishaara ki tumhari dream girl aa rahi hai. Shayad yahi ladki tumhari dream girl hogi.
Armaan: Atul, tum mazaak karna band karo. Aarkhir bolo, kaun ladki chahegi ki uska pati, ya uska pyaar, goonga ho?
Atul: Woh samajh jaayegi. Aur woh tumhari haalat jaanne ke baade bhi tumse pyaar karegi.
Armaan: Yeah, right!
Atul: Armaan, main sach keh raha hoon. Yeh ladki, jaisa bhi uska chehra ho, jo koi bhi ho woh, usse bhagwan ne tumhaare liye, aur sirf tumhare liye banaya hai. Wohi tumhari jeevan saathi banegi.
Armaan: Lekin, woh mujhe milegi kaise? Kahaan? Kab?
Atul: Thoda intezaar karo! Aakhir, sabra ka fal meetha hota hai. Agar tum intezaar karo, toh shayad woh tumhein aaj ya kal hi mil jaaye.
Armaan is still not convinced that such a girl actually exists, but by whatever Atul said, he is convinced by this fact that, whoever this girl is, whatever she may actually look like, she is made for Armaan only, and is and and him are meant to be soulmates, for ever.
Whatever it is, and may be in the future, Armaan, for the time being, leaves his thoughts aside, thinking it is better to concentrate on this game, something that he loves and is able to relatively easily achieve, rather than thinking about that "girl", whom he saw last night, whom he does love too, but possibly may not achieve.
Later...
Kritikaa is shown at her school, in an open-air assembly of some sorts, where she, and the rest of the students, are waiting for a doctor, from the local hospital, to come and talk to them about some certain health related matters. Finally, the doctor does arrive, and the doctor is none other than Nisha.
However, Nisha is not alone, as Riddhima has accompanied her, since she may also have to give such talks later on. Anyways, moving on to the end of the talk - when it ends, Kritikaa decides to stop Riddhima, and talk to her, as well as to Nisha, asking her a few more questions. So she gets talking, and both Nisha and Riddhima enjoy her company, as well as curiosity in learning more, and have quite a heartfelt talk with her.
Meanwhile, as they are talking, Armaan and Atul are seen leaving the cricket ground, and walking towards the village school, to fetch Kritkaa back home. Armaan and Atul finally reach the school, and Armaan stops, freezing on the spot, when he sees Riddhima there, very much existing, and alive, talking to his own sister, with Nisha there too. He nudges Atul, in her direction, and Atul understands what Armaan is trying to say.
Atul too, nudges Armaan to move forward, to approach her, and introduce himself. However, just as Armaan begins to set his foot ahead, after having stared at Riddhima for quite some time, Riddhima moves off, with Nisha, and Armaan feels he has lost "his girl". Again!
