However, Armaan, from his spot of lying down on the grass, continues to stare at Riddhima, not believing his luck, that his dream lady is finally here, in front of his eyes.
On the other hand, Riddhima stares at him too, but for a different reason.

Angry, Riddhima gets up, in a huff, and puts her hands on her hips. She can be seen, practically steaming from her ears, eyes red and popping out, glaring with anger at the stranger man who knocked her down, and now is busy staring at her instead of apologizing.
Armaan, on the other hand, is still staring at Riddhima. Armaan tries his best to get at least the word "sorry" out of his mouth, but cannot do so. Riddhima gets even more angry, and finally opens her mouth to scold him, to get him to apologize.
Riddhima: Yeh toh battameezi ki had hi hui. Ek toh tumne mujhe giraaya, aur upar se sorry bhi bol rahe ho. Accha! Shayad tumhein pata nahin hoga ki yeh sorry shabd kya hai. Sorry ko hum hindi mein kehte hain - maafi maangna. Ab tum mujhse maafi maango. Tumne mujhe giraaya, neeche zameen pe. Dekho, mere kapdon pe mitti lag gayi hai. Ab kya tumhari maa mere kapdon ko saaf karegi? Haan?!! Bolo...
All this while that Riddhima is scolding Armaan, he is busy staring at her. He does hear and understand everything Riddhima is saying, but he is too busy staring at her, and dreaming about her to pay attention to the fact that she is actually scolding him. Whatever words come out of Riddhima's mouth seem like honey to him. However, Riddhima now thinks of Armaan as a total idiot, an irrespectful man, who even after knocking down someone does not bother to apologize to her.
Riddhima: Tum kuchh kyun nahin bolte? Kya behre ho, ki go kuch main keh rahi hoon tumhein sunaayi nahin deta? Ya phir andhe ho, ki tum mujhe dekh nahin sakte, aur yeh bhi dekh nahin sakte ki tumne mujhe giraa diya?
Armaan, knowing as he cannot speak, and afraid that Riddhima may misunderstand him, tries to make some signs with his hands, that will make Riddhima understand that he is asking for forgiveness from her. However, Riddhima does misunderstand, and starts shouting at him again. By now, most of the cricket players have gathered around Armaan and Riddhima, in a circle, trying to intervene, yet, scared to say something fr the fear of thy young lady, who may shout back at them instead.
Meanwhile, Kritikaa, who has also heard the commotion, comes near the small crowd gathered there, sees her brother, and someone shouting at him, and intervenes. When she comes near, and sees Riddhima's face clearly, she is shocked.
She pulls on Riddhima's dupatta, and Riddhima bends down to see Kritikaa, and talk to her. Kritikaa solves the misunderstanding that Riddhima has for Armaan, explaining his situation, and that her brother has been a mute since young itself. When he was born, he had difficulty crying. The midwife {coz the village did not have a hospital at that time} did their best to make him do so, right after he was born, but there was some problem with his vocal cords and all, and then when he contracted tonsilitis soon after, this made the problem worse. Now finally, or rather, hopefully, that a hospital has opened up, Armaan is going for treatment, to help him in his speech, so that hopefully, after remaining silent for so many years, he will be able to express his own opinion, through his own mouth, rather than having someone explain it for him.
Listening to Kritikaa explain all this to her, Riddhima gets sad, and when she realizes her mistake, apologizes to Armaan. Armaan, who this time fully understands what she is saying, just smiles in response, then, turning to Kritikaa, makes some hand actions. Kritikaa once again turns to Riddhima, to explain what Armaan just said to tell her.
Kritikaa: Bhaiyya ne mujhe aapse kehne ko kaha ki usse tumse maafi maangni chahiye, ki usne aapko giraaya.
Riddhima: (to Armaan) Nahin, its okay. Infact, mujhe aapse maafi maangni chahiye. Maine aapko kya kuch nahin kaha, aur aapne kuch nahin kaha.
Kritikaa (conveying Armaan's message): Par main toh bachpan se hi kuch nahin keh sakta.
Riddhima: Haan, par sun toh sakte ho. Main itna kuch buraa keh rahi thi, mujhe thappad (slap) hi maar liya hota.
Kritikaa: (conveying Armaan's message) Koi kitna bhi buraa kahe, main kisiko nahin maar sakta. Maa ne hi aisa sikhaya.
Riddhima: Toh isiliye tum bohot sanskari ho. Aur sorry haan. Main bohot gusse mein thi, aur ghar bhi miss kar rahi thi, isiliye tumpar kuch zyada zor se chillayi.
Kritkaa: (conveying Armaan's message) Rehna do. (now to Riddhima) Ab Ridzi didi, maafi maanga khatam ho gaya ho, toh main aapko apne pyare se bhaiyya se milaa loon?
Riddhima (slightly laughing): Haha. Theek hai milaa do.
Kritikaa: Ridzi didi, yeh hai mere Armaan bhaiyya. Aur bhaiyya, yeh hai Ridzi didi. Naam hai Riddhima, lekin usne mujhe use Ridzi didi kehne ko kaha. Vaise, yeh Nisha didi ki dost hai, aur humare ghar ke saamne hi reh rahi hai, Nisha didi ke saath.
Armaan (thinking to himself): Oh! Toh, jo main us raat dekha, woh sab sach mein ho raha tha. Riddhima hi mere sapnon mein aayi thi, aur woh hi meri dream girl hai. Toh Atul bhi sach keh raha tha. Main Riddhima ko pehli nazar se hi pyaar karne laga, varna use dekhte hi meri saasein aise atak nahin jaate.
Riddhima, smiles in return, and sticks her hand out to Armaan, for a handshake, which indicates the start of friendship. Armaan, takes Riddhima's hands in his, and immediately feels electricity running through his whole body. Later when Riddhima goes, and the crowd also disperses, Atul comes towards Armaan, lightly patting his shoulder, and smiling.
Meanwhile, Armaan thinks to himself "Mujhe usse haath milaana nahin chahiye tha. Usse dekhti hi meri saasein tham si jaati hai. Phir, usse chooh ke ek pal ke liye meri dhadkan bhi ruk gayi thi." {Translation: I shouldn't have shook hands with her. Just seeing her took my breath away. Now, touching her, made my heart stop, even if for a moment.}
