Recap: Kannav takes Riddhima out for dinner to the Blue Moon Restaurant, and there, proposes marriage to her.
NOW.....
Kannav is down on his knee, full of emotions ready to burst out, while proposing to Riddhima, while she on the other hand is standing, speechless, at the sudden proposal. Finally, Riddhima finds the courage to speak out, but comes up with only a meek soft "Yes" which Kannav barely managed to hear. But he thinks he heard something that at least sounds like a yes, so he asks her to repeat.
Kannav: Kya kaha tumne? Phir se kaho, theek se sunaayi nahin diya.
Riddhima: Yes...
Kannav cant seem to hear her muffled answer, so he asks her to repeat, over and over again. Finally, on the fourth retry, Kannav, who this time heard properly, but still cant believe it, asks her to repeat it, louder this time. And Riddhima, who by this time is tired of repeating her answer just screams it out instead...
Riddhima: Yess!!!!!!!! Maine haan kaha!!!!!
Kannav: Sorry, is baar I just couldnt believe you said yes, even though maine tumhein theek sunaa. Toh...
Riddhima: Toh kya? Yahi tum poochna chahte the na? Yahi surprise hai ki nahin? Ya phir ek mazaak? Agar yeh mazaak vazaak hai toh main isi waqt ghar jaa rahi hoon.
Kannav: No darling. No mazaak. I really love you. Aur main tumhare saath apni baaki zindagi bitaana chahta hoon.
Riddhima: Sach?
Kannav: Haan. Toh bolo, agar aisa nahin hota, toh main tumhein kyun propose karta?
Riddhima: Toh intezaar kyun kar rahe ho? Get off your knees and hug me!
Kannav is so happy, with her yes, and the fact that she suggested the hug, even though most of the time, he is the one trying to be intimate. They hug for a long time, and then part, only to hug again, as Kannav kisses Riddhima's forehead, cheeks, neck, and lips. They hug again, and the screne fades...
The next day.....
Riddhima wakes up with a smile on her face, thinking about the various events of the previous night...
After she and Kannav hug and kiss in the privacy of the empty and dark restaurant, they go for a long drive along the beach, then finally sit along Marine Drive and watch the lighting on the other end, and the stars up in the sky. After some time, Riddhima has falls asleep in Kannav's arms, and he down, smiles when he sees her sleeping so peacefully on his arms, and finally decides that its too late, and they must go home. Kannav cant dare to wake up his sleeping beauty, so he carries her to the car. Yes, they do catch a few stares from passersby, but even they cant help smiling at seeing the love Kannav has for Riddhima, in his eyes. Riddhima actually wakes up a few minutes before reaching her home, but since she wants herself to be carried by Kannav again, she pretends to be still sleeping. Finally, they reach her home. Kannav gets out of the car, and opens the front passenger door where Riddhima is sitting, takes her purse and removes her house key, before lifting her out of his car and carrying the through the main door to her bedroom...
Riddhima smiles as she is in the bathroom also, again remembering that for one moment the previous night, she was feeling scared that her parents might be home, and see Kannav carrying her, and scold her. But thankfully, both of them have gone on an extended third or fourth honeymoon in their whole married life, and are returning only later in the afternoon the next day, while her elder sister, went for a business trip come holiday to Goa, with her colleagues, and is also expected home around the same time as her parents.
Riddhima gets ready fast enough, to report to the hospital, before 8 am, despite waking up at 7, and not quite having enough sleep the night before, what with returning at home way past midnight, and even after that, after numerous attempts to sleep, she still finds Kannav occupying her thoughts, and when she finally does sleep at nearly 3 in the morning, her dreams. "Well," she thinks, "main doctor toh hoon hi, I cant complain about the odd working hours. After all, I love my job, despite the hectic and most of the time, inexplicable schedule."
She finally reaches the hospital, where she has been working as an intern for two months, a temporary internship, immediately after obtaining her degree and all, waiting until she receives her two-year internship course posting at another hospital.
"I wonder which hospital I'll get. Lekin umeed karti hoon ki yeh hospital isi sheher mein hoga. Main apne parivaar, aur khaas kar ab, apne Kannav, se door nahin jaana chahti."
At 11 in the night, Riddhima finally finishes seeing her last patient, a really cute kid called Rishi, to whom she had taken a quick liking to, and who adored her, when he was her first few patients, when she started her intership 2 months ago. In total, she saw about 14 patients, 10 of them kids, who mostly went to her than any other doctor or intern at the hospital because of her cheerful and loving personality. Basically, all the kids relly loved her.
On the way back home in a taxi, she sees Kannav's "I love you. Call me immediately, as soon as you finish seeing your last of patients." She immediately calls him, and after a few minutes of talking, puts the phone down, as she has reached her home, and since the lights are on, knows that her parents are back, and if they hear her talking lovey-dovey talks on the phone, they are going to get her married off, before she can even utter the word "Marriage".
She pays the taxi driver appropriately, and rushes into her home, but stops short as soon as she enters...
