Deepak and the girl got eliminated.

Qazi has been selected and they have the 2nd gala round tonite - the theme is hopes and dreams and they have dia mirza as the celebrity judge.

Qazi is a good dancer though he is pretty bad singer.

Dia lights up telly

The screen switch is getting bigger and better. After Indian Idol was flooded with celebrity judges galore — Kajol, Juhi Chawla, Priyanka Chopra — Fame Gurukul, Sony's latest talent hunt show, has roped in Dia Mirza for one of its first episodes.

"It's so exciting to be a part of something like this. Fame Gurukul is a lovely mix of reality and talent. I am an atrocious singer myself. So rather than singing, I would judge the way they perform," Dia told Metro.

Apart from Dia, the Friday night episode will also feature the first ever video shot with the Fame Gurukul contestants. The 14 have sung the song Aasman ke paar, shot tastefully on the Mud Island beach. As the celebrity judge, Dia will give her reactions and comments to all the performances and will also be instrumental in choosing this week's four weakest contestants.

Dia is also on a high in her film career having received a lot of acclaim for her delightful cameo as Gayatri Tantia in the current blockbuster, Parineeta.

"I am really happy everyone loved me in the film. Dus releases this Friday. Then there's Dil Sachcha Chehra Jhootha and the Sohail Khan film Fight Club."

Fame Gurukul on SifyMax Chennai, July 8 (PTI): SifyMax.in, India's first broadband content website hosted by Nasdaq-listed Sify Ltd., on Thursday announced its tie-up with Sony Entertainment Television for hosting previous episodes of popular realty show Fame Gurukul, live chats with contestants and its behind the scenes videos. Fame Gurukul, a daily realty show of about 12 talented signers who give up everything to enter the music academy, which went on air from July 1, would be available only on SifyMax.in, a Sify release said here.

"The partnership with Sony Entertainment for Fame Gurukul is a first for the entertainment industry. Besides catching up on episodes they've missed, viewers an also interact with their favourite contestants through video messages or a live chat," said Ajay Nambiar, Head Consumer Chanels, Sify Ltd

thanx ! hey me_abhi(can i call u by ur name?) did u watch fame gurukul gala round today.... i was sooooo stunned , u know i shudnt say such things but i felt that all of em were very besura and the performances were below average i only liked the last guy arijit hes clearly the best and has an awesome voice!wat do u think?i hope they improve the performances , coz if they dont then its such a boring show , even my dad said that it was boring coz of the contestants being so poor singers!

I just watched the first gala round. I liked Shamit Tyagi in todays episode, but I feel that they could all improve in one thing or another.

yea reems di n hiba i saw the gala round yesterday and the singers dun have much to offer they're not good and definetely not like indian idol oss ki toh baat hee kuch aur thi haina???
