Hence it might have come out harsher than I meant. If so, then I am sorry for that.

I am glad if you found my info useful.

We are always there if any of you need to know anything.

Thanks Anitha and Manasi for the vote 😳,

It is alrite. Thanks for clearing! 😃

The 3 postings critical of Sony have simply disappeared.

Sometimes topics disappear and ten re-appear in the inner pages!!!!!

This happens only with controversial topics. Ad whenever Arpita is in danger and too many negative postings against her the website SLOWS DOWN

Too much of a co-incidence????

Yes i have noticed that too but i guess the moderators are trying to prevent flaming wars i guess!!!!!!

Like you said...some controversial (read Arpita related / channel related) topics appear directly on the 4th - 5th page.....

Glad to have company.....I was thinking I'm becoming paranoid....

Do you think that most of the moderators are arpita fans? I'm not trying to imply anything but there has to be a logical reason why this is happening with alot of arpita posts while anti qazi posts shine nice and bright on page number one.

actually thinking of it even i have searched for topics which just a little while ago i read on page one but those topics disappeared when i logged back on, i kept searching till pages 6 , 7 and then just gave up and thought either the topic is deleted or lost.

OK, First thing first.

A) Let me make this very clear.

Most of the India Forum Mods don't even know who Arpita, Rex or Qazi are. They have not seen them and are not even remotedly interested in knowing them either. The simple reasons are :

1) They live outside India and don't have access to cable;

OR

2) They have cable but they are not interested in Fame Gurukul.

Those who are, are active members here and they do NOT have any power to move posts from page to page.

The only reason this section gets so many mods moderating is because this section has the highest number of post reported and have posts which are either personal attacking someone or instigating people or have foul language.Unfortunately, this is the most troubling section at IF.Hence we have to keep coming here. Fame Gurukul has just 1000 odd members coming here everyday as against 4000 odd members visiting JJKN each day or 3000 odd in Astitva..........yet this section feels like a war zone which is very very sad.

B) India Forum is a site which is maintained, at his own cost, by Vijay Bhatter who started this site for discussing Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi. It became hugely popular and hence sections kept getting added on popular demand. Fame Gurukul is just one such addition. I don't even know if Vijay has even visited this section. Sony is certainely not paying a dime to vijay either for Jassi, the section this forum came into being originally and certainely not Fame Gurukul.Hence if you diss Sony, there is absolutely no problem. Go to Jassi section, and everyday you will find several topics which send Sony to the cleaners.

C) The reasons a topic gets pushed back are:

Lets say a topic "X" has been posted.

1. Right after :X" is posted, topic "A", "B", "C".....and so on got posted as well.

2) "X" starts getting pushed back because it is not getting as many replies as the topics A,B,C are.

3) You log off, and in your absence,10 new topics have been posted, 50 topics have been answered to,unfortunately "X" being not one of them. Hence starts going to back pages while the rest of the topics get pushed forward.Sorry to say, while you find the topic terribly interesting, your fellow members do not. Hence they don't post a reply to it, the topic never reappears in the first page. Want to check that out? Find one old topic, and post a reply. You will see that topic appear in the first page right away.

Also, check the time of the last reply on each of the topic that is ahead of it. Say your topic "x" is on page 5, then check the time of the last reply on all the topics from page 5 to 1 - you will see that all those replies have been made AFTER the last reply in ur topic. So the reason why it's on page 5 will become clear to you.

4) If you cannot find a topic, make a search, either for the person who has posted or the topic which has been posted. You will find it.

5) If you do not find it at all, then the topic probably has been trashed, and with very good reason. The reason could be anything from the topic being offensive to downright instigating, causing arguments and creating bad vibes in the section.

D) Who is Arpita? I am sorry, but I am lost here. I could understand if someone of Jassi's stature or Tulsi's stature could slow down a site 😆 but Arpita???

The site slows down for a very simple reason. The load in the forum. Whenever the site is slow, go check the India Forums Homepage. It will be overloaded with members visiting this forum. And only a 20% of them visit Fame Gurukul. It has been observed the site is slowest from 9.30 to 11.30 IST - the reason being everyone is trying to read the updates in all the other sections. Though the site can become slow at other times as well due to heavy traffic of people. There are almost 35000 members in this site. So I guess it takes something to keep upto it.

Vijay has been working round the clock , FREE of cost for us and a fortune to himself, to improve the speed of this site. If nothing else, then at least thank the man for his efforts. I understand most of you do not know this, but at least ASK before you accuse someone of foulplay.

This is India-Forums, NOT Fame Gurukul Forums. Fame Gurukuls will come and go in dozens, but India Forums will stay. It's about all the serials that are discussed here, and all the characters in those serials are as hotly debated as you guys debate Arpita and Rex.So no one character is more important than the other.

I hope this has helped clear many of the confusions.

So if any of you still have some doubts about how this site runs, then please contact one of the Global Moderators.

Minnie i agree with you but i dont think we are talking about all the IF moderators, I think this is in reference to mainly the moderators of fame gurukul forum. i have read lots of your responses in astitva and always appreciated them and seen no bias in the moderators there but fame gurukul is a different matter , here i am sorry to say i have seen alot of bias and prejudice esp since a few of the moderators are very avid arpita fans. I think any topic can be discussed as long it doesnt become a cussing and flaming competition but sometimes i do find the moderators to be extra touchy when it comes to arpita topics and when anti qazi topics come up i see a very lame hearted attempt to stop the insulting that goes on.Hope u dont mind but that is how i really do feel.
bias and prejudice esp since a few of the moderators are very avid arpita fans
That is most certainly not the case. We trash/lock posts that are offensive - the Mods have always maintained a level of neutrality. Our personal preferences do not come in the way of our decisions. I would also like you to know that around half of the topics that are locked/trashed everyday are the result of it being reported either by the "report" button or by PM. This goes to say that there are other members who deem posts offensive, and not only us.

I am sorry if you guys think we're too strict, but as Minnie di has already clarified, this is the forum section that has the most number of reported and offensive posts. We do not lock/trash a topic just for the fun of it, and I honestly don't think we're being too strict. I just want to say something else - we, or atleast I, do not close a topic in which you express your dislike for any contestant. If you hate Arpita and want to post a topic about it, go ahead. If you want to do the same for Qazi, then go ahead. It is only when members take it a bit too far and resort to using offensive language and targetting/bashing members who disagree with their opinion that a topic is locked.

As for the topics that are being pushed back pages, Minnie di and Miss Bholi Bhali have already clarified that - this forum is very active. I usually go back five pages to find topics that I've posted, and that's only because a dozen or so other topics have been posted, and 50 or so replies have been made to already existing topics. There is a little envelope icon that is next to the post which, when lighted, is either blue or red - this is to show that a new post has been made in that particular topic. You can go back a number of pages and see that these lighted envelopes are still there - if more new posts/topics have been made than one, two, three, four pages can handle, then it's not our fault. Just go back and look for your topic, or use the Search feature.

I'd also like to add that Vijay is doing a ton of updates to the forums, so if something seems to be going wrong at the moment, it's not the Mods fault - it might just be a little technical glitch as a result of the major updates.

Hope everything is clear now. We're here to help you and make this place better for you, so if there is any problem do feel free to bring it to our attention. It is the only way we can work it out.

omg, exactly. i definitely agree.

i've said this before, and i'll say this again...

you can't even have a discussion here without starting arguements with people or without moderators getting in the way of things for no reason at all.

👎🏼

This particular topic - elicited a very strong and vehement feedback from the moderators - which was correct since it directly reflected on the site and to an extent them....

First let me say, I was impressed by their response...

BUT....

With IF becoming the official site of FG - my doubts have turned to certainty......

Something is fishy....the dal is black.....

Hope this topic does not get closed orlost.....

OMG, I was glad to be back and see this as a "raging" hot topic. Thanks to IF moderators for taking this seriously and responding fast. Also am happy that this page has not disappeared 😆

But I am sorry to say that the moderators have exhibited for the want of a better word, "naivette" and "rudeness" in their responses.

As moderators they are supposed to be cool headed. So why are their responses in ANGRY RED TEXT.

I take particular offense to the quote above. Hello Anitha, could you please send me the link to a "PAID DISCUSSION FORUM" on the internet???? I am sorry to say but your above remark shows either total IGNORANCE or INNOCENCE of how a discussion forum works, it's importance and meaning.

And sorry, but I don't even want to start giving you a lesson. You need to educate yourself.
