I missed the episode on TV last night as I was stuck in the office and I literally reached home breathless to watch the scenes. Then alas! I read the updates that Baldev has forgiven Veera which irked me to the core!!!

Then with a heavy heart I watched the scene. CVs first gave indications as if Baldev is determined and stubborn not to forgive her!!! Jaggi and the new guy imploring him not to speak to Veera for a month, a year!!!

Then in a fraction of a second everything goes down the drain!!! He forgives her with a koi nahi!!! I mean seriously how can they make Baldev forgive her in a second?? At least an episode of "naraazgi" toh banta hai with lots of negligence from Baldev's side and Veera begging, bullying and coaxing him to accept her apologies!!!

What happened to the headstrong, bullheaded Baldev? If nothing they could have made Baldev speak with a sandpapered voice, but here they made him look like a love sick puppy who whined dolefully to Veera!!! Then as he forgave her with a smile Baldev seemed to me, as happy as a pug in a rug!!!!😡

I agree love makes all of us warm over. I can understand Baldev being shy and slightly sheepish around Veera. Do you really undergo such a fast metamorphosis in love?? Do you really transform from a headstrong, slightly obnoxious, sarcastic, temperamental being to a mushy, lovey-dovey, extravagantly emotional individual? All I wanted to see was a mixture of pain and anger!!! Anger is not an alien emotion when you are in love, but the creatives seems to be stuck with pain and illogical jealousy when it comes to the matter of the heart!!! I could have digested Baldev succumbing to the repeated apologies of Veera had they invested some time and energy for this to shape up onscreen.

I have accepted the fact that Baldev is never gonna get a full fledged character development!!! Baldev will play a second fiddle in the show and in Veera's life!!! But at least they should not commit further character assassination and reduce him to a ghost of the real "Baldev Singh" we all fell for!!!

NB: The only line which gave me a sigh of relief was when Baldev announced, "Mujhe aise dosti nahi chaahiye Veera joh sirf kaam ke waqt tenu yaad aaye". Heartfelt gratitude for at least a small bit of conviction from his side.

To be very honest, the CVs have long killed the real Baldev Singh 😆 This is nothing compared to the kinda stuff they made Baldev do during the 'Veera wooing track'..They made him do some of the most outrageous things in the name of humor and reduced him to a creepy stalker 😆 The only thing that saved that track was Vishal ( his eyes to be precise😆 )..Atleast for me..And then they make him look upset & emotional cos his two sisters are leaving & he is even ready to leave the house for his didi😆 And those scenes legit made me cringe..These are the kinda things i don expect from Baldev..I hate how they have made him into this utterly good boy..Baldev was never evil but he was a brat with an emotional core..But the writers are hell bent on making him this 'perfect guy' 😆 There is zilch character consistency & logic in this show and i have long accepted this tbh 😆 That said, i wouldn't call yesterday's scene as character assassination..I have a million complains when it comes to the writing of this show but for once, the writers did a good job yesterday..Or wait, i liked it for some weird reason 😆 I liked how they kept it realistic instead of making it overtly dramatic or filmy..Baldev was honest about what he felt, Veera apologized & he gave in..There are so many shows where i feel the lead is being unreasonably mahaan by forgiving his/her partner in no time..But here, more than being mahaan, it actually showed how Baldev loves her with all his heart and it doesn't take much for him to give in..I loved his expression when Veera said 'sorry'..I din expect him to act all egoistic & brush it off..I din mind the fact that he gave in at all..It just made me love his character a lot more and realize how outrageously lucky Veera is 😆 Oh and i liked how they neither made him a doormat nor did they make him into an overtly egoistic guy..His reaction was so full of innocence & love..Its probably just me but i loved yesterday's scene in its entirety..After ages tbh 😆

This !!! 👍🏼
Even I dont have any complaints from yesterday's episode. They made Baldev a comic filler from Feb to June ! This is nothing.. 😆 Infact what I liked about yesterday's scene was that it was so realistic. Nothing OTT . And yes.. It made me love Baldev even more ! 😳 😆

Darling I agree they have done his character assassination long back, henceforth I had noted it as further character assassination. I liked the scene for the acting brilliance of Vishal and Digangana, but not as Baldev and Veera!!! Anger is one of the primary emotions that is synonymous with Baldev. Even during the phase while he was chasing Veera with his marriage thingy he got really angry with her for blaming Gunjan and he fumingly declared, "Veera mein apne behan ke khilaaf ek lafz nahi sunoonga". Similarly when Veera played with his heart faking love, Baldev was broken when he confronted her but then he was angry, angry at the whole womankind. Baldev does not have a middle ground - he is a man of extremes!!!

I did not find a trace of anger in his voice yesterday, which is so unlike Baldev after such a huge showdown. Even his expressions did not have the Baldevism in it!!! A mix of pain, anger, irritation and frustration could have done the trick for me!!!

I understand..Like i said, its probably just me but i loved the scene 😆 For one , i was elated they din play Happy Shappy in the bgm & i was satisfied with their clothes after ages 😆 And yes, Vishal's eyes 😆 And i din even expect Baldev to say that all to Veera..I was afraid they'l make it comical & lame..So i was glad they atleast made him voice his concern..About the rest, well to each his own..Not everyone likes the same thing:)

The VeeBa love story has been a realistic, down to earth love story. Veera fell in love with Baldev for the true qualities he has. There was nothing super human or cinematic in him. She had no intention of ditching Baldev. Try to understand she has only just realized her love for Baldev and doesn't yet know what Baldev feels about her. What was essential was to convey the message to her that he could not be taken for granted and that line in red was actually enough to convey the message loud and clear to her. I think all you guys are trying to say that Baldev should not loose his character, his own self. I agree with you all, but I think he conveyed the message clearly which was more important than to stick with his so called manly ego and be angry with her for an week or so. I feel both of them are straight forward in their ways and that scene suited perfectly to their characters and relationship and that is why we call them our sher and sherni.

Copy pasting what I just wrote in Sina's post.

I was indeed disappointed when Baldev forgave Veera so easily. But that how Baldev Singh is. He has always been shown as a person who doesn't keep grudges to himself. Otherwise he would never had fallen in love with Veera who he thinks is responsible for his life's biggest defeat. 😳
And it's not that Baldev quitely gulped down Veera's selfishness. He did point it out, but didn't create a huge issue out of it, which IMO is a sign of maturity.

Adding some more:

Baldev is by far the only character in this show who has various shades. He was this insensitive obnoxious boy who has now started to care towards his beloved ones. He has learned to control his temperament now, which IMO isn't character assassination but character progression.
