Lot of us have this huge question, did a woman behave the way Gayatri behaves in the serial? She is a Queen, she is a woman in the 1940's where social codes were drawn very clearly and anyone crossing them was ostracised
Well, the creative head Nilanjana had tweeted once, that the real Gayatri Devi was willing to become the third wife of Maharaja of Jaipur, just because she loved him so much! She did'nt care that he was much older than her.

Maybe we should think differently, here's a little something to corroborate the fact that Gayatri was considered far ahead of her times. She was tomboyish, had a secret courtship etc.

Now am adding a caveat that this is just an indicator. Am sure Gayatri Devi 's character can be twisted as per the requirements of a daily soap😆, and we have to give them that license.

But I guess this is the framework they are following.

What is the big hue if she is bold, its only with her husband when she is alone with him.. Yesterday, when her brother had come to meet her, she first took Rajmata's permission to drop him till the gate.. so she know the mannerism of being a Queen..
After all between husband and wife, boldness is allowed i guess.. This is my take..

I've got my reservations about this I mean i suppose it's natural to have a more relaxed dynamic with ones you love but as long as they don't over do it. The danger is that it then starts to seem like an everyday 20th century show and we have enough of those. I think they need to strike the right balance between both sides of gayatri I for one liked the initial gayatri who was learning her way around the palace who was a little reserved to begin with I think there Was a slightly more wifely element to her which was cute. Having said that i also enjoy the Bubbly gayatri but I do think it needs to be a little more subtle. What remains to be seen is if they strike that balance.

That was their room she can do anything she hasnt done in public...
How do you know women in 1940 doesnt seduce her husband in rooms???

Common... In public it was taboo not in their private room when they are alone...

I agree I don't think it's that that is sparking intrigue I think maybe the conversation in the car ?? I for one agree with the fact that everyone has a personal one on one relationship whether its a friend or a husband, whomever and theyre different with them in private compared to in public but again I think there needs to be a good balance between both.

I always thought it was Rajmata who was inspired by Gayathri Devi, given the poise and the elegance with which she carries herself..!
Although, I had no issues with the romantic scene...I think we would rather not believe that our grandparents could have been passionate teases 😆

Real Maharani Gayatri Devi was very bold with her thoughts n yes even Nilanjana Mam once tweeted she was ready to be third wife of king whom she loved.
So i dont think it is right to say women of those era couldnt be quite bold in room with husband. And our Gayatri has been shown ahead of the times n very bold from the start of the show.

No it is not based on story of real Gayatri Devi. Show is fiction only
