Chapter 2

Raghav and Kalpi just arrive to the singhania mansion in the black BMW. The house was decorates with colorful light and many servants were waiting upon the arrival of the bride and groom. Kalpi was astonished to see all the decoration and the amount of people who were waiting for her and her husband arrival. She couldn't believe that this could every happen to her. It was like a dream come true but not with the man she loved. She was sure that Raghav will care for her but his nature was always confusing for him. She remembers when Raghav came over to the chawl and ask for her hand in marriage.

Flashback

Kalpi was shock to hear what came out of Raghav mouth. A rush of emotion started to rise, angry, confusion, and a little bit of shyness occurs. Then suddenly she quickly ran outside the door. Everyone stood up and both Kamla and Vittal called out to her but there was no answer.

Pakhya: Aai wait I'll talk to her

Kamla nodded her head and assured Vittal everything will be fine

Raghav: I know Kamla Ma and Vittal Uncle that this is very shocking news to you but I assure you that what I just said is absolutely true and I have fallen in love with your daughter. I know that I haven't said anything about by feelings to Kalpana but I thought It was best to ask permission from you both and that to in front of Kalpana. I also understand if your think that why would a Rich business tycoon would want to marry a girl from a chawl. But this class system doesn't matter to me. What matters to me is Kalpana and I want to spend the rest of my life with her and assure you that I will keep her happy and will let her shed any tears.

Vittal and Kamla were shocked at what he said and Vittal walk up to Raghav and said well she will shed tears but on her Bidaai. And if you hurt in a way then I will hurt you.

Raghav and Vittal Smiled and hugged each other and gave his blessing to Raghav. Kamla gave her blessings too.

Sammy: Raghav, Kalpana still didn't accept your proposal yet?

Vittal: Don't worry Sammy beta Kalpi will agree to this marriage

At the bench

Kalpi was sitting on the bench thinking on what just happened. Raghav Sir her BOSS just proposed to her that to in front of her family. Kalpi was so confused but also felt a little shy and then wondered why she is she feeling this way. Suddenly Pakhya came and tapped Kalpi's shoulder

Pakhya: Kalpi are you okay. I know this must be really shocking to you but everything will be okay and whatever you decide I will always be there with you.

Kalpi: I know dada...but why would he do this? I mean I didn't get a hint or anything. Or maybe I just didn't notice with how he treats me.

Pakhya: treats you how?

Kalpi: I don't mean like that Dada. He's so confusing to me. One day he mean, rude and arrogant and another day he's nice, sweet and caring. HE'S SO BIPOLAR.

Pakhya laughed at what Kalpi said and muttered

Pakhya: Kalpi so cute and take your time about this proposal and again we are all with you. Now are come home now. Aai n Baba must be worried about you.

Kalpi: Dada you're the best and I'll come in a bit you go first.

Pakhaya nodded his head and left. Kalpi looked at the sky and thought about if she should go ahead with the decision or not. Her heart and mind where not on the same track. She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't notice that Raghav came and sat next to her and muttered her name "Kalpana."

Kalpi looked up and gasped a little seeing Raghav right in front of her.

Raghav was about to say something when Kalpi ask him "Why do you want to marry me Raghav Sir?"

Kalpi: Why? Why? I just don't understand why would you propose to me. I would have never thought of you saying these word to me and that to in front of my family. One day you really mean and another day you nice, sweet and caring. I just don't get it and do you think I will accept this marriage with the way you behave with me. In the office your so irritated with me and I feel like you hate me but now I don't even know what you think of me.

Suddenly Raghav placed his index finger on her lips and said " Kalpi I have fallen in love with you. I know that my behavior with wasn't right but what to do. I didn't know how to behave around you. I thought that my feelings were just an attraction toward you or infatuation but every time I would see you my feelings for you became stronger. I tried to get rid of these feelings by being rude to you but instead it hurt me more hurting you. Maybe the way I propose to your family wasn't the right time and I should of ask you first but there's no right time to do this so I just did it without knowing your feelings. I know that you might not have feelings for me but I've noticed that you do care for me. I'm sure that if you say yes I will do anything to make you and your family happy and won't let any harm happen to you and your family. Whatever decision you make I'll be happy with it. There no hurry Kalpana! I'll wait for your decision."

Raghav then stood and said "Take care Kalpana!" and left. Kalpana was shocked and thought that she should talk to her parents about this and then reach to a decision.

Kalpana entered the chawl and heard her parents talking about the marriage preparation.

Kalpi: Aai baba what are guys talking about? I haven't even reach to a decision and you guys are already making preparation my marriage.

Vittal: Kalpi is right Kamla we should first know what kalpi wants.

Kamla: Kalpi I know I want you to fulfill you dreams but it's also important to get settled and I know Raghav baba will help you fulfill the dreams I want.

Kalpi: But I don't want any help from. I know that he's my boss but making him my husband is just not right. I haven't even thought of him in that way. And as per fulfilling my dreams I have the ability to do this myself with nobodies help. Right now I want to focus on my career.

Kamla: Kalpana you can focus on ur career even when your married whose stopping you. Raghav baba will be good for you and he will let you focus on your career. He's a good man and so what if he's your boss. He loves you and I'm sure he will help you in fulfilling your dreams. A matter of fact he's helping you now.

Kalpi: Aai I know he's helping me but he didn't give me this paid internship just because I'm your daughter. It's all the hard work I did MYSELF in college. Please aai accept my decision.

Kamla: No Kalpana! I won't accept your decision and I assure that you will be great with Raghav baba please maan jao Kalpi. We are only thinking of your happiness.

Kalpi: Fine aai! If you think Raghav Sir is right for me then I will accept this proposal. I trust you aai

FLASHBACK ENDS

Raghav: Kalpana!

Kalpi: Huh!

Raghav: what happened?

Kalpi: it...nothings

Kalpi and Raghav comes to the door and an old lady in a simple but elegant sari comes walking down the hall with a thali. Kalpi is shocked seeing her here
