Chapter 24 (Last Part)

"Mama today is my first day of school," A four years old boy was talking to his mother's picture, "Please pray for me, so that I will do well." Saying so the boy was about to leave and thought something and looked back at the picture and said, "Wherever you are be safe and happy," he added, "That's what dad always says to you na," "Aarav we are getting late for the school," hearing the sound calling by his name Aarav said, "Ok, bye mama, gotta go." He left from there.

"Dad, let's go." Aarav said. "Aarav did you take your mama's ashirwad?" Raghav asked. "Yes dad." Aarav said. "That's like a good boy." Saying so Raghav kissed on Aarav's forehead and left for school. Raghav dropped Aarav off to school then went to office.

In the dining table Raghav was asking Aarav about his school while feeding him. "Dad, I am full," Aarav said rubbing his belly, "I won't be able to eat more." "If you eat very little then you will get sick," Raghav said, "Then what will I say when your mama will come back and ask?" "Your mama will scold me and will go back and never come back." Hearing him Aarav said with an opened mouth, "Dad, please feed me," "I don't want mama to go back." He added, "I will be a good boy, so that mama will never leave me." Hearing Aarav, Raghav felt bad.

At night Aarav fell asleep on Raghav's chest hearing stories from Raghav on Raghav's bed. Seeing Aarav asleep, Raghav carried him to his room and laid him on his bed and came back. Raghav laid on his bed and recollected Aarav's word earlier in the dining table and said holding Kalpana's picture which was standing on his side table, "Kalpana, your son is now four years old," "For how long I will be keep lying to him that you are coming back," "I can't look at his innocent face when he says, I will be a good boy so that mama will never leave me'." A tear escaped from Raghav's eyes. "We both miss you so much Kalpana." Raghav said moving his finger on Kalpana's picture. He then closed his eyes hugging Kalpana's picture and whispered, "Good night."

In the office Sammy and Raghav were arguing about a meeting which took place out of the city. "If client doesn't agree then cancel the deal." Raghav said very angrily. "You already cancelled lot of deals," Sammy said in frustration, "May I know how long it will go like this?" "Sammy you know very well that I can't leave Aarav alone," Raghav said, "After Kalpana left. I didn't go for any business trip for not even a day leaving Aarav alone home," "I can't trust anyone when it comes to Aarav." "I don't even let anyone pick up and drop off Aarav from school." "Raghav, it is very difficult to manage both office and home at the same time," Sammy said putting his hand on Raghav's shoulder, "You should move on." Raghav ignored the topic and started working on his laptop. "Raghav you can't ignore the fact that you should marry and move on to your life." Raghav looked at Sammy and said, "I have Aarav and Kalpana's memory and that is good enough for me to spend my entire life," "And I don't want to give Kalpana's place to anyone." Saying so Raghav started working on his laptop again but stopped when Sammy said, "Kalpana is someone else's wife now." Raghav felt some pain in his heart hearing Sammy's word. Raghav never could take this easily that Kalpana is someone else's wife. "Raghav, Kalpana moved on," Sammy said, "You should move on too," "You should at least think about Aarav," "He needs a mother," "He needs mother's love." Hearing Sammy Raghav said, "Kalpana is the only one who is Aarav's mother," He added, "I don't want Aarav to call mother to anyone except Kalpana." "I am here for Aarav to give both mother's and father's love."

On weekend day Raghav and Aarav was playing football in the backyard. Raghav lost willingly to see a smile on Aarav's face by making him win. They were playing but all of a sudden Raghav won the game accidentally. Since he lost Aarav said, "Dad, you cheated and this is not fair," "Let me go and complain to mama." Saying so Aarav left from there. Aarav walked to Kalpana's picture and said, "Mama, dad cheated me and cheating is not good right," "When you will come, give him punishment." Then Aarav thought something and said, "Its ok mama, just forgive him," "I love dad so much and I won't be able to see him punished." Raghav was watching this from behind and a smile appeared on his face.

Three months later

Raghav got a letter from Aarav's school to inform parents that their school is going for a camping trip for five days and if any parents are interested to go there then let school know. Aarav wanted to go there. "Dad, it will be so much fun," "Please don't say no." Raghav couldn't deny and cancelled all his meetings and got ready for the camping trip.

They reached the place. There were three schools participating together. On the first day of camping all the schools prepared some fun games for the kids. Kids were having so much fun. Parents were happy because their kids were happy. It was dinner time. Everyone grabbed their food and went to their respected place and started eating. Aarav noticed all the kids came there with both father and mother and he was the only one who came without his mother. His eyes fell on a mother who was feeding her son seating him on her lap with love. Aarav saw her kissing him and talking while feeding causing the child to laugh. Raghav noticed Aarav was not eating and his trance was somewhere else. What happened Aarav?" Raghav asked, "You are not eating?" But no response. Then Raghav realized what was he looking at. Raghav felt bad and hugged him and said to change his mood, "Aarav let's go to the river side," "We will eat over there." "Dad, when mama will be back?" Aarav said hugging Raghav back. "You said, mama is busy with some work," "When she will be able to finish her work?" "Soon beta." Raghav said placing small kisses on Aarav's head. "God please do some miracle so that a child can meet his mama." Raghav prayed to god closing his eyes.

Then next day Raghav was watching Aarav playing football with other kids. In the mean time he got a phone call from Sammy. He went a little farther to talk to him as he was having problem to hear because of the noise children were making while playing. One of the children kicked the ball so hard causing the ball to go to the nearest jungle. Getting the ball Aarav followed the direction where the ball went. A young teacher noticed that and followed him behind. Aarav lost his path and got scared and started crying chanting mama...mama...mama'. All of a sudden Aarav felt someone's hand on his shoulder and he looked back. Seeing the person in front of him he was in awe and the only word came from his mouth was mama' and jumped into the person's arm giving a tight hug. "Beta," the person said shushing Aarav, "Don't be scared." "Missing mama?" "Let me take you to your mama."

The young teacher handed Aarav over to someone else saying, "Please let the child meet his parents." Saying so she left from there leaving dumbstruck Aarav behind. Aarav was too shocked to see her that he couldn't utter a word. Raghav ran toward Aarav and took him into his arms and said tensed, "Where did you go?" He added, "I was so scared." "Actually your son was lost in the jungle," A lady said, "Thanks god that a teacher noticed him going there and followed him and brought him here." Hearing the lady Raghav said, "I should thank her," Raghav said, "Do you know where I can get her?" "Go to the third tent," the lady said, "She is preparing something for the children."

"Dad, I saw mama." Aarav said looking at Raghav. "How is it possible?" Raghav said surprised, "Why will she come here?" "No, dad I am sure it was mama." Aarav said. "You must be so much scared, when you get scared you keep chanting mama'," That's why you thought mama was someone else." Raghav then let go of it from his mind and tried to get it out of Aarav's as well.

Raghav then went to meet the teacher. He entered into the tent and saw a lady facing her back on Raghav who was drawing something on a paper. Hi! Actually, I came here to say thank you." Raghav said. The lady stopped drawing hearing the voice behind. Raghav continued, "You saved my son from getting himself lost," "If you wouldn't be there I don't know what would happen with my son," the teacher was still facing her back. "Thank you so much, I really appreciated it." Saying so Raghav was about to go but stopped when he heard someone saying, "Ms. Kalpana," "If you are done whatever you were doing then come Ms. Lily was calling you." Hearing the lady both Raghav and Kalpana looked back at the same time. They are now face to face after so long. Both of them were looking at each other with mixture of emotion. Raghav was so happy seeing his life in front of him after so many years. On the other hand, Kalpana has the same situation, seeing her love after so many years. They were silent for each for a long time. Kalpana broke the silence saying, "Hi!" Raghav replied saying, "Hi!" "How are you?" Kalpana asked. "Good" He replied and asked, "You?" "Good." Kalpana replied. Then there was silence for a while again. Kalpana broke the silence again saying, "How is Ria?" Raghav replied, "She must be fine." "How is A...Aka...ash?" Raghav asked. Kalpana thought something and nodded. Then again silence. After a while Kalpana asked with heavy heart, "How is Aarav?" "He is fine." Raghav replied. "How does he look like?" Kalpana asked. "You already met Aarav a while ago in the jungle." Hearing him Kalpana couldn't control her tears and a tear escaped from her eyes and said, "That's Aarav? "Yes, that's Aarav," Raghav said, "Our son." "Can I meet him now? Kalpana asked wiping her tears.

Aarav was playing with his Nintendo ds and looked up when Raghav called him, "Aarav." "Look who is here?" Saying so Raghav moved aside showing Kalpana. To see each other face to face no one could control their tears. "Mama?" saying so Aarav jumped into Kalpana's arms giving her a tight hug. Kalpana broke the hug and started kissing all over his face saying, "Meri bachchi, kitna bara hogaya." She added, "I missed you so much." "Mama, why did you take so long to come? Aarav asked, "Dad and I missed you so much." Seeing both mama and beta emotional, Raghav got emotional and a tear escaped from his eyes. "Dad, see I recognized mama," Aarav said looking at Raghav, "You didn't believe me when I told you that I saw mama." Hearing Aarav Kalpana said surprised, "Beta, how did you recognize me, when I left the house you were only one year old?" "We have your picture in every room," Aarav said, "Dad and I always talk with your pictures." Hearing Aarav Kalpana felt pain in her heart and thought, I am not there but Raghav ji kept my memories alive. He didn't let Aarav forget me. Her trance broken when Aarav said, "Mama you came back to us forever right?" "You don't have to go back right as dad said when you will complete with your work then you will come back to us?" Hearing Aarav Kalpana looked at Raghav and then Aarav and said in her mind, I wish, I wish. To change the subject Raghav said, "Kalpana, I think you had some important work to do right?" "Yah, I will see you again." Saying so Kalpana placed a kiss on Aarav's both cheeks and left from there.

The next day Raghav went to Kalpana's tent and saw her packing her some prizes. "Good morning." Raghav said and sat next to Kalpana. "Good morning Raghav ji." Kalpana asked, "Where is Aarav?" "They are doing some art competition." Raghav asked, "May I help you?" "Yah, Thank you." Saying so Kalpana showed Raghav how to pack those gift boxes. "Kalpana, why are you here?" Raghav asked. "Actually, after completing my Bachelors in Teachers Education I have joined as a teacher in one of these schools that have participated here." "Glad to hear, Kalpana," Raghav said happily, "Are you planning for the Masters?" He continued, "If Akash doesn't have any problem then you should think about it." Hearing him Kalpana said, "I will do my Masters soon." "Glad to know that you moved on with everything." Raghav said with a smile. But Kalpana could feel the pain in his smile. All of a sudden Raghav noticed a mark by a color pen on Kalpana's cheek and told her about the mark. Kalpana was having problem to trace the mark to wipe it out. Seeing her struggle he was about to wipe it out, both looked at each other. Raghav then thought something and left from there.

There will be a race among the kids. All the kids were standing behind the white line. Both Kalpana and Raghav kissed Aarav and wished him all the best. All the parents were cheering for their kids. Raghav and Kalpana were also doing the same for Aarav. Game started and all the kids were running to get the first place but Aarav was running for his parents to make them happy by winning the competition. Last few seconds he gave his best and won the race. Both Kalpana and Raghav felt proud of their son. They were so happy that they couldn't control themselves and hugged each other with joy. Seeing them hugging each other Aarav fake coughed, "ahem... ahem." They broke the hug and felt shy realizing what just happened and couldn't look at each other. They then congratulated Aarav. Both Raghav and Kalpana decided to make a surprise plan for Aarav. Kalpana drew a beautiful picture for Aarav and decorated her tent with lights at night. Raghav managed a cake and brought Aarav in the tent covering his eyes. Once Aarav opened his eyes he was in awe seeing the decoration and cake especially in this place. He cut the cake and three of them feed the cake each other. Three of them did lots of fun in the tent and slept over there. Aarav was in the middle of Raghav and Kalpana. They were so tired so they went fast asleep.

The next day all the parents were called for the participation. Seeing Raghav and Kalpana not participating Aarav felt bad. To make Aarav happy both of them agreed to participate. The game will be divided into three rounds. The top ten couple will be counted for the second round then top five will be counted for the third and final round.

Before they started the game Aarav asked his parents to win for him. The first round was each couple has to prepare dinner. Now they want to see how many items each couple can make within an hour. Kalpana and Raghav started preparing dinner. Kalpana was cooking while Raghav was helping her chopping vegetables. Raghav noticed few strands of hair were falling and were bothering Kalpana as she was mixing Ata. He then put those strands behind her ear slowly with love. Raghav then took her bowl and started mixing with it. She took vegetable and started chopping. While shaking the roti Kalpana burned her finger. Seeing this Raghav put her finger in the cold water. She was putting masala on the sabgi while Raghav was mixing it on the fry pan. Raghav's eyes were burning while slicing the onion. Seeing this Kalpana wet her dupatta and wiped his eyes. While cooking Kalpana and Raghav were not only helping each other but showing their love and care for each other. Finally Kalpana and Raghav completed making dinner. Raghav tested all the food and gave her green signal. They made roti, one vegetable item, daal, and desert. Judges counted all the couple's items and then Raghav and Kalpana were decided to be top ten. They were fifth highest position.

Now top ten couples were selected for the second round. They were told to tell their partners likes and dislikes separately and then check with the other partner to see if the answers were correct. Then they were asked to describe their partners in one sentence. Raghav said about Kalpana, "She is a person with a golden heart." On the other hand, Kalpana said about Raghav, "I found him as a father figure whose love and care unconditional." In this round Raghav and Kalpana were in the first position.

For this final round top five couple will compete against each other. In this round female partners were tied to the chair with rope and they were on the water. And all the male partners have to reach to their partners hanging on a rope over the water. They were given five minutes and if they failed to reach in the particular time then female partners will drown in the water for 20 secs. The ropes were not so smooth so it would be very easy to get a cut and they were also very long. If the couple wants to give up, they give a signal and they will be disqualified. None of the couples could even go half the destination without giving a sign. Now it was Raghav and Kalpana's turn. No matter what would happen to Raghav he had set up his mind he would not let Kalpana drown. With this strong statement Raghav had started his journey. When Raghav had just finished half his hands were full of blood but he didn't stop and kept going. Seeing the blood Kalpana's heartbeat went faster as she was signaling Raghav to stop. Finally Raghav reached the destination in 4 minutes and 10 seconds and Kalpana was free to go.

The announcer announced the winner name and also explained the purpose of this game. They said, "We just wanted know, couple live together for years but how much they know each other, how much they care for each other and can anyone ready to face any critical situation to save their partners. And our winner Raghav and Kalpana proved that yes here is a couple whose love is true. They are connected from heart and soul. This is how they can speak each other's unspoken words.

Seeing Raghav's hand bleeding Kalpana took Raghav to her tent. Kalpana sat beside Raghav and took his hand on hers and started applying ointment on his hand. Kalpana's tears were falling on his hand while applying the ointment. Seeing her crying, Raghav thought, Kalpana, you still love me the much you loved me before. I can see the same love, same care, the same pain in your eyes for me. I can say it is very hard for you to love someone and live with someone else. "Kalpana, tomorrow morning we all are leaving from here and I don't know after today we will be able to meet or not," Raghav said, "I just want to say, wherever you are and whoever you are with be happy." "So what, I didn't get you in this generation," Raghav said with smile, "But I will make sure that you are booked for me for next six generations." Hearing Raghav Kalpana was smiling with watery eyes. "Kalpana, can we walk for a while now?" Kalpana nodded.

There were totally silence while they were walking. They had lot of things to say but couldn't say a word thinking it is better to keep it inside than saying or they will make problems in their life. They didn't realize how far they went. All of a sudden rain started. To save themselves from getting wet, they ran to the nearest shelter same as below

Both of them were standing at the edge making a gap in between. Both of them were a little drenched. Seeing the heavy rain Raghav was about to tell Kalpana how they will be able to reach but stopped seeing her wiping her rain drops using her dupatta. He was as lost as he didn't realized when his eyes were traveling with her dupatta where it was moving. His eyes fell on her forehead as she wiped rain drops then her cheeks then her beautiful lips then his eyes moved to her neck. There were some rain drops which were still unwiped. Seeing her unwiped rain drops on her neck and he wished to go and bring her closer and suck them with his mouth slowly. Kalpana noticed his strong gage on her. Raghav's trance broken felt Kalpana looking at him. Oh my god, what am I doing? Raghav said in his mind. Why am I staring at her? How could I staring at someone else's wife? Raghav then looked at Kalpana back and said in his mind, It is very hard to accept that you are not mine anymore Kalpana. You are someone else's. All of a sudden a thunder caused Kalpana scared and hugged Raghav tightly. He didn't hug her back as he had no right on her to touch. Raghav was having problem to control himself when she is near him. Another hard thunder caused Kalpana to come more closer to him. Raghav closed his eyes feeling her scent and his hands went to her back unknowingly and pulled her more toward him filling the gap and hugged her tightly. Both of their eyes were closed just feeling each other. They forgot that they don't belong to each other for a while. They couldn't remember for how long they were like this. They found this peace after so many years and they were not ready to leave each other.

It was time to leave camp. Kalpana was standing near the bus she came with and waiting for Raghav and Aarav to say bye. Seeing her Raghav walked to Kalpana and said, "We had great time here," "These five days of camping will be my most memorable days in my life," "Aarav also was able to meet his mama." "Raghav ji, where is Aarav?" Kalpana asked. "He is in the car," Raghav said, "I couldn't bring him here as it will be very hard for me to look at his innocence face when he will questions on his mama that why she will not be able to stay with him." Saying so Raghav was about to leave but stopped and walked back to Kalpana and said, "Kalpana, I couldn't move on," "I am still the same as you left me there three years back." And he left from there leaving Kalpana dumbstruck.

The whole bus journey to Mumbai seemed too long for Kalpana as she had to do some undone work and needed to be reach there as soon as possible.

Raghav and Aarav reached Mumbai. Raghav dropped off Aarav and went to the clinic to check his wound. After seeing the doctor he was about to pass the gynecology department and stopped seeing Akash with a two years old boy in his arm. Seeing them he felt pain in his hear, Raghav thought, that might be Akash and Kalpana's son. He walked to Akash slowly and said, "Hi Akash." Seeing Raghav in front of him Akash smiled and said, "Hello sir! Good to see you after a long." "That's your son?" Raghav asked. "Yes." "What are you doing here?" Raghav asked. "Actually my wife is four months pregnant and brought her here for the regular checkup." Hearing Akash, Raghav was little confused and asked, "Your wife?" "Yes sir, she is inside." Saying so Akash pointed to a lady coming from the room." "Meet my wife, Sana." "And Sana, this is Raghav sir." Raghav was totally shocked seeing the lady Akash just introduced as his wife. Akash thought something and told his wife to wait in the car so he will be there shortly.

"Sir, I know you have lot of questions about Kalpana and me." Akash said, "We didn't marry each other." "How is it possible?" Raghav asked confused. Then Akash narrated the whole situation saying, "When I and Kalpana were walking around the fire, she became unconscious. We couldn't even finish six. Then I carried her to a room. When she became consciousness, she told me that she needed to talk to me alone. She said, "Akash ji, I won't be able to marry you as I love someone else and I can't give his right to you. I am as helpless as neither I can marry you nor I can go back to that person I love. Please forgive me."

Then Kalpana went to a ladies hostel. After that we never met each other. Hope she is fine. Raghav couldn't believe what he just heard. Raghav thanked Akash and left from there. The only sentence Raghav was keep chanting with smile as, "Kalpana didn't move on...Kalpana didn't move on...

His trance broken when he saw a maid calls in his phone. "Hello sir, please come home!" Maid said tensed." And cut the call. He called the maid and said, "What happened? Is Aarav okay?" But she cut the call again. Now he was much more tensed and drove off to home.

Raghav entered into the house and asked driver, "What happened?" "Sir please go to the terrace" Saying so Driver left from there. Raghav got angry as no one was answering him exactly what happened. He went to the terrace without wasting any time. Raghav was looking here and there to see if there was anything happened then he looked back hearing Aarav calling him from behind, "Dad." Then he was in awe seeing Kalpana was sitting on the swing and Aarav was on her lap. Seeing Raghav, Aarav walked to him and said with happily, "Look dad, who is here," "Mama said she came to us and will never leave us alone." Saying so Aarav left from there leaving RagNa alone. Kalpana walked to Raghav and said with watery eyes, "Raghav ji, I want to confess something to you," she continued, "I love you and Aarav and I won't be able to live without you both," "God has sent me through many obstacles in life. I lost my parents at early age, I was alone for the most of my life, and I saw poverty very closely. All these I faced never affected me much but I felt real pain being apart from you." All this time he was just looking at Kalpana with mixture of emotions, love, care, anger. "Please forgive me." Saying so Kalpana jumped onto Raghav's hard chest. Raghav closed his eyes and hugged her back. Raghav broke the hug and cupped her face and said with love, "God test people creating problems in one's life. God is trying to see if we will change our life's path and take the right choice. He separated us so many times watching over our bond, seeing it grow and change within every second. Now we have proven the strength of our strange bond. We have become one and no one can separate us."

After 5 years

RagNa Mansion

RagNa's 3 kids(Aarav-9 yr, Arnav-4 yr, Ara-2 and half yr) were playing in the living room. "Let me complain to mom and dad that you broke my car." Saying so Arnav ran to Ragna's bedroom. Seeing Raghav lying on the bed and resting his head on Kalpana's lap who is 4 months pregnant Arnav said, "Dad, this is not fair, you never let any of us go near mama's lap!" Hearing him Raghav said, "Because this place is reserved by me," Raghav added, "Now tell me why are you here? You had fight with brother again?" "You are only three children and got tired now?" "We are planning for ten!" Hearing him Arnav fell from the sky, "TEN!" "Yes ten" "When I will die I want you all to keep your mom like a princess the way I do." Hearing Raghav a tear escaped from Kalpana's eyes. Feeling her tear Raghav raised his head and cupped Kalpana's face and kissed both eyes, and placed a kiss on her lips. Seeing this Arnav immediately covered his eyes and said, "Oh No! Not Again!" Saying so Aarnav left the room closing the door behind."
