But yeah, the best way is to make them strong and to believe in oneself. As much as we empathise with them, when it comes to supporting them, not many of us find the courage to do so. Loved the way Kalpi wanted to stood up for herself even after going through such horrible experiences. Also could relate to her mother and the way she's behaving. As much as we want to punish the culprits , the journey towards justice is a bitter one , thanks to the society we live in. Here even if you are the victim, people will label you the outcast and make your life a living hell. Not to forget the taunts and lewd remarks , people pass on... So its natural for a mother to think it's better to bury everything rather than making your daughter a laughing stock in front of the society. Here you also have to take into account the fact that she's a servant and the culprit is her employer's son or his friend. Which also means losing the job too , if she goes ahead with the complaint. Then the usual taunt of people " who will marry your daughter, a rape victim?" Till the attitude of people doesn't change, it's such a horrifying experience, maybe much more than the actual rape. ...
