Hello you wonderful people. 😊 Since I've practically made it a point to update each night, here's presenting chapter 4:

Chapter 4

The rest of the evening went by pleasantly. Throughout dinner, the conversation flowed freely among Raghav, Gauri and Kalpana, warm and caring, gently teasing one another. They talked about Raghav's successful career, Kalpana's dreams and desires in between which Gauri jokingly said," Ab bas mujhe mere Raghav ke liye ladki mil jaye," causing Raghav to blush out of embarrassment. Kalpana couldn't help but laugh which made Raghav smile.

It wasn't until Kalpana's eyes fell on the wall clock, that she realized how late it had gotten. Thanking Gauri for a wonderful evening Kalpana said," Aunty, mujhe ab chalna chahiye. Bahut late ho gaya hai aur kal subah mujhe kaam pe bhi jana hai." Gauri warmly embraced Kalpana saying," Apna dhyaan rakhna beta aur koi bhi kaam ho toh apni is aunty ko yaad kar lena." Raghav too shook Kalpana's hand, wishing her goodnight before he and Gauri escorted Kalpana to the lift lobby.

In the elevator, going down to her apartment, Kalpana's heart skipped a beat as she unfolded the little note which Raghav had slipped while shaking her hand. He had written his name and phone number and the message: City tour pe chale? Looking forward to hearing from you.

Three full days had passed since that night and the little note remained tucked away inside Kalpana's wallet. Meetings, reports and deadlines had kept Kalpana so occupied that she hadn't found time to message or call Raghav. A part of her felt really guilty but she was simply too exhausted by the time she reached home late at night.

Then on the evening of the fourth day, when Kalpana returned home after yet another tiring day at work, she found a note taped to the front door of her apartment. In the note, Raghav had again written his name and phone number with a message saying: In case you've lost the previous note, here is my phone number. Really hoping you'll call.

Kalpana couldn't help but grin and immediately thought of messaging him. She quickly pulled out her mobile phone and texted Raghav asking if his offer to show her around the city was still valid as the next day was Saturday and Kalpana didn't have work. His reply came almost immediately saying that it would be his pleasure and he was looking forward to seeing her tomorrow.
