Hiya is crying hugging Raghav. She does not understand what Raghav is saying. She feels Raghav's tears on her tiny hands and looks at him. She innocently asks again 'are u in pain, Mr. Singhania'. Thousand needles prick in Raghav's heart hearing Mr. Singhania from hiya's mouth. His own daughter is calling him using his surname. He wants to hear 'PAPA' from his daughter's mouth. how did she pronounce 'PAPA' word first time. Was she able to speak 'PAPA' from the beginning or did she call him 'PA' or Kalpana did not allow her to speak this? What does she tell her friends about her father? What did Kalpana tell her about her father - good or bad? He had missed his daughter's childhood. What would have he felt if he was allowed to hold his new born daughter? It must have beautiful feeling to see ur child's first walk, to hear his/her first word. All the moments which could have been precious memories for the lifetime had been snatched away from him. Raghav is not feeling any pain in his body anymore. His heart is paining. He tightly embraces his little daughter and says ' Call me Papa,Sweet heart' .
This time Hiya hears Raghav's words. She is in shock. Why is Mr. singhania asking her to call him Papa? Is he really her father? Then why does not her mumma tell her this? She just says innocently that she wants to go to her mother. Raghav comes out of his trance. He also needs some answers. He takes Hiya's hand in his hand and takes her to Kalpana's room. Kamla Maa is feeding Kalpana. Hiya goes to Kalpana and hugs her. Kalpana looks at Raghav and she feels a sudden shivering in her body looking at angry Raghav. Before she can say anything, Hiya 's question stumps her 'is Mr. Singhania my father?'. The moment which Kalpana fears most has come. She looks at Raghav who is glaring at her. She ignore him and looks at her daughter. Her innocent eyes have so many questions and a glint of hope and expectation. how can she overlook that. Does not she know how much Hiya misses her father. Kalpana has not failed to notice voidness in her eyes whenever Hiya sees her friends and classmates with their parents. Kalpana can't lie to her little angel. She closes her eyes and whispers 'Yes'.
Hiya feels really happy. Finally she is infront of her father. Hiya goes to Raghav and hugs him Saying ' Papa'. Raghav feels like to capture this moment forever. Kalpana looks at Raghav and Hiya. Seeing Hiya's content face, she feels happy. At the next moment, Hiya starts punching on Raghav's chest . Raghav looks at her questioningly. Hiya - 'I hate U, Papa' and goes to Kalpana and hugs her- 'Tell Papa to go away. I hate him.'
Kamla who is silent viewer till now asks Hiya to behave with her father properly.
Hiya: I hate him. Why did not he come before? why does not he come when mumma cries late at nights. My friend charu told that her father did not let her mother cry. why does not he take care of mumma when mumma is ill like Rahul uncle is taking care of masima.
Raghav does not know what to say.He is shocked and sad. Kalpana looks at him. Kalpana gathers herself. She is cursing herself as she could not protect her daughter from her sorrows. Neel and Hiya must have seen her crying at late nights and they are getting affected from it. She does not want to be proved Weak infront of anyone and she does not want her daughter to hate her father. Finally she speaks 'Don't say this sweet heart. your papa loves you a lot. and you know naa that your mother is strong. She can take care of herself. I am sorry. I did not tell your papa about you. I am afraid that you will forget me after meeting ur father. I am sorry. It is not your papa's fault. He loves you, he loves you a lot. Hiya hugs her mother. She loves and believes her mother more than anything. ' Kalpana silently prays ' Keep my daughter happy bappa,After 10 years I am letting my heart rule my mind for my daughter's sake. I hope the love that I seeing in Raghv's eyes for hiya is a truth, not an illusion.' Hiya leaves Kalpana and slowly goes to Raghav ' I am sorry. I love u papa. Now promise you will not leave me alone. Come with me. I have to tell Neel that you are my Papa. Please come with me.' Raghav cups Hiya's face- ' You go and tell Neel. I am coming in a moment. I need to talk to your mumma.'
Hiya leaves the room. Raghav is burning in rage. Kalpana has kept his daughter away from him. Kamla senses the situation but stays there. Raghav looks at Kamla ma and in authorative tone ' I want to talk with Kalpana alone.' Kamla does not want to live Kalpana and Raghav alone at this moment. Raghav is angry and Kalpana is in vulnerable state. She knows her daughter very well. Hiya's words must have ringing in Kalpana's ears. Kalpana always wanted to protect Hiya and Neel from her past. Now she must have cursing herself that She failed as a mother too, she could not protect her children. Till now, She had not forgiven herself for breaking their trust though Vittal and Kamla tried a lot to make her understand that She was not at fault . But she continuously cursed herself that she is the reason of their misery, She is a bad daughter and sister. She was on the verge of losing her life during Hiya's birth because of her stress. Kamla holds Kalpana's hands tightly.
Kalpana knows that she has to face Raghav. She reassures her mother that she is alright. Kamla leaves the room. Raghav s anger seems no bound.
Raghav : You must be very happy that my own daughter needs your words to believe me. She hates me. You snatched her childhood from me. You have kept my daughter away from me for 10 years. I have missed the moment of holding her for the first time after her birth. I do not know what would have I felt when she starts crawling for the first time or she learns to walk? I do not know what was the first word she spoke? You wanted to hurt me and now you must be feeling very happy. She is accusing me that I was not with her when she needed me. Don't you think she should know that her own mother kept her father and her in dark?
Kalpana loses her patience. Till now she is listening Raghav's accusation as she knows that she should have told Raghav about Hiya. But Raghav's last words anger her.
Raghav : I want my answers damned..
Kalpana : Mr. Singhania. Don't you think Hiya should also know how you betrayed her mother, how her mother has been hating herself from last 10 years as she trusted you. She is born because of my blind trust and your revenge. You want answers. I will give u. First you give me answers which I have been searching from last 10 years. You wanted to avenge Trisha by breaking my heart but Why did u play with my dignity? I was in illusion of love but you were not. Or did you think that people like us don't have any dignity. After all , I am a maid's daughter and using me for your desire was not wrong.
And Kalpana feels a hard slap on her face. Kalpana's every word pierces him but when she throws insults on herself, Raghav could not bear. He slapped her hard and leaves from there without looking back at her.
Note:
Girls are always princess of their father but they share heart to heart bond with their mother. If mother is in pain , Children can sense it. Hiya can also sense her mother's tears.
