Chapter 3
The First Kiss
Raghav sat in his office fiddling with his pen. Prem eying Kalpana made him restless.Sure Prem had something in his mind .What ? He needed to find out .How ? He did not know.
He looked at Kalpana .She was busy on her computer,well she always had same pose almost whole day except when hs talked on phone or eat her apples.
It has been three months now since she started working in his firm. She worked really hard and earned her promotion after her first month . He had offered her the job cause of Kamla Bai the lady he respected most after his father. But he had been harsh to her .He treated her just the world had treated him years back when he started his journey in corporate world and it did work on her the very same way it worked on him.She took the challenge and was giving her best
He had started from scrap his father had left and he made it big cause he had fire within .Fire to prove that his father did have right principals and to avenge those who wronged him .When he had first set his eye on Kalpana he knew she had the same fire.She too wanted to prove herself.Prove that she too had rights to dream and have her own share in the sky which corporate animals claimed to be their own.
Strange they belonged to families so different in status but victimized by same enemies.He belonged to a well reputed family in business circles but his father ended up bankrupt just cause he had his ethics and principals intact and chose friends who were never actually his friends. While her family was a happy labour class family which ended up jobless cause his father failed in business .He still remebered how her mother Kamla had to work all day while she waited for her .How she never had things enough but always seemed happy with whatever she had.All she launged for was attention and love specifically from those who had no time for her and he could see her mother was one of them .
He had long felt connection with Kalpana right since he had seen her smiling at him when she did not even had teeth.She was a year old baby when he had first seen her..He had held her out of curiosity while she had stared at him with her large black eyes . She was the sweetest child he had ever seen and had sweetest smile which twinkled in her eyes.That was his first meeting with Kalpana .
Things had changed so much now .Though she still had same mesmerizing large eyes but now they seemed so distant and dreamy.They were often downcast when he met her .Always into something be it files or computer. She seemed so submissive yet so strong.She really intrigued him.Her silence often spoke volumes and he could feel a strange kind of discomfort whenever she was around.He did not know from where it came, from her or from him..
He always kept distance from her cause of his inner feelings for her .They were strange feelings he could not decipher the true meaning of it.They have been in him for years and after seeing Kalpana he had realized the girl had strange effect on him.
Things had gone out of his control when he had ended up spending an adventurous night with her in Jungles. She had been so close to him and it was then he realised why he kept distance from her .Though their had been nothing romantic about her closeness but it did intoxicate him.He had held her hand out of pain and had grabbed her for comfort . Even in pain he did realise her apprehensions while holding him so near.Her thighs had shivered under him and she had a numb expression when he had merged his face in her arms and his body in her lap.She had hesitantly opened up and cover him by her chunni and herself to save him from rain and cold.
That night was enough to make him realise what his feelings actually meant ,he had been in love with her all through these year.The connection he had felt with her was something platonic but that night made him realize that his body yearned so desperately for hers.
Facing each other in office after that night had been difficult for both of them.They had strange effects .He tried his best to keep away from her cause he could see her shivering in his nearness.He did talk to her and she ended up crying.They both were stunned to hear each other..She was shocked when he had bluntly said i like ur nearness and ur thoughts make me sleepless.For him it was shocking when she had said i feel awkward near u and ur nearness makes me restless.
What the hell was wrong between them.Obviously they were in love .The only difference was that he knew it and she still had long way to go till she realized it. They had their goals.He had come to india with a purpose, to revenge and she came in his firm with a purpose, to prove herself and they did need to focus. She had cried like a lost child in his arms and he had no idea how to console her.He was in the same mess as her.
But then he had to take decision .the decision best for both .He had looked at Kalpana , she was so young ,just twenty ! How could he expect her to take responsibilities that love brought while she was so occupied with her budding aspirations . Still at least he needed to make her know her true feelings.
He slowly wiped her tears and slowly pulled her near and looked in her large black eyes .She was taken aback .He abruptly pushed his lips on hers .He could see her eyes widening out of surprise and her hands pushing him away. Instead he intensified his act, sucking her lips inside his and crushing her body into himself ,her nails clawed in his chest hurting him hard.He winced but did not stop until she gave in.She embraced him and heaved breathlessly and merged her face in his chest .He kissed her hairs and then abruptly jerked away , leaving her stumbling for balance.
'I think it was enough to make u realise that u dont need to runaway from me or look down when i am near u . U dont need to shiver and clutch ur clothes when u r near me.Instead u can touch me , hold me and kiss me the way i did to u.
She had stared at him surprised.She had been expecting some real solution from him.Something that would just end her problem .But what she got stunned her. But slowly she had regained her colour . He could see her complexion going red .She had slowly walked near him and clutched the shirt But this time it was his.She stood near him close enough to make him feel her warm breath and he slowly held her hands and made her place it on his chest,
Sigh ! She still needed to learn to touch him ,He realised he will have to wait for long as for now it was enough for him to know that she did enjoy her first kiss .
