oops 😳 I have delayed reading it for so long 'cos I wanted that moment of peace to truly savour it! Well worth the wait, this!
Like I mentioned before, these two parts would've truly made sense in the show. I love Virat Vadhera, the character in the show and your depiction of him is so true to the essence of the character that it is a disservice to us fans that they chose not to explore it in depth. Glossing over such a beautifully tragic (hence highly ironic) issue is sheer injustice to the characters too. Virat is capable of feeling the hatred towards himself because he loves Manvi more than himself, if it were for him, he would've gladly died but instead he has to choose between his love and the unborn child of his bhai..that's tragic on so many levels ...
I have never liked the one dimensional definition that Viren has been accorded in the show ..Atleast Virat was explored more realistically, the carelessness, the responsibility he chooses to take, the talented man who doesnt pursue his talents seriously, the lack of purpose, yet a definite sense of right and wrong, standing up for what he believes is right not blinding following rules that serve no purpose. Viren on the other hand stands as a symbol of all things right, a sort of perfection that is hard to digest, even worse was his reaction to the loss of his child., Here he behaves like he should, there is understanding for Virat and quiet appreciation that his brother cares for him too as much as he knows he loves Manvi..he loves Manvi too, his sister in law, but not more than his child, yet he will choose her because two people very important in his life have their soul attached to this one girl (atma 🤣 )
Some parts of the story I loved, Virat asking Viren if he regrets telling him about Manvi in the exact spot they were in ... The answer was just as beautiful, it doesnt change the fact that you loved her, you would've realised one way or the other! Virat putting aside his love for Viren's sake - this part was just very touching. Viren's understanding was faultlessly shown, he had his qualms and he was heartbroken, but he would do it..regardless of his feelings.
Loved the light moment you threw in, typically women writers (at this level) dont capture men as well as you have managed to,, it showed them as 2 men who were tiding over things in their own way..you think I cant manage it again? 😆 ridiculously male, yet so apt to hide the angst!
The part abt the sisters being the death of us, really made me chuckle.. so true, the poor guys are trapped in between two sisters 😆 who are anything but normal...😆
Virman moment was effortless, smooth and beautiful. They are so in sync with each other, yet these small betrayals chip away at the pureness, but then like a stone is chipped to form a statue, this relationship will also take shape with (and inspite of) all its faults..(*pats self for the brilliant analogy LOL )
Its not an open ending for me, 'cos I fit this right in the place the show left a blank.. :)
Great job :) Here is a box of cookies for u 😆 and tons of hugs 🤗
Keep writing whenever you can :) Cos I enjoy reading them :D
