My apologies for the delay. I have learnt this, my discomfort with the res business was for a reason after all, I have a tough time going back to Unress, better stick to my original style of commenting fresh out of the oven.
Maraasim interestingly was read twice, yet missed out on commenting 😃
I loved the ease with which Shravan talked to Amanda, for some weird reason I had always fathomed Shravan being uncomfortable around girls, so his ease , for me depicted his self confidence, that he was comfortable in his new found composure.
His asking Amanda out for the prom touched a cord. He knew what it meant never to be asked for, he felt the dejection she must have gone through on realising that she really didn't fit into the criteria of a sought after girl, he knew coz he felt, you can only understand people if you feel them in yourself. So like I said, I felt good at this premise, compassion is one of my favourite virtues 😛
Sumo's blow hot, blow cold equation with Mamiji made a good read as well. Mamiji was always grey actually, her being a mother overshadowed her being anything else, a la Kamini. A woman can be good or bad, a mother. ..well she's just that. .a mother.
That brings me to another mother, the one whose justification of abandoning her son never touched a Base with me. You seem to be making her realise her folly thoroughly here, would it be wicked of me if I confess that I am enjoying it thoroughly as well?😉
Now that my fears for Eric have been allayed courtesy Iztiraar...I can't even comment on that section. Nonetheless, the whole part was written beautifully!!
