Update :)

Part 5

Sumo just rested against the door. She closed her eyes and sent out a deep prayer of shock and complain above. Everyone ran up to the bedside but not once - not once did she go her Nanu's side and cry. Her face was blank and pale. Not a single tear.

Shravan let his emotions flow as he recalled those chess games and his promise and that he won't let him go. But the smile on his face was such that he felt at peace. He'd seen everything in life,just that he lived to see Suman's...

But where was she?

Aditya turned up by her side and was about to place his hand on her shoulder but stopped. He had to be in limits now. She wasn't his.

Shravan turned around to see her standing spellbound, by the door. He made her sit in her room downstairs while Ramnath and Aditya prepared for his last rites.

He wasn't sure what he should do now. She was sitting like a statue beside him. Somehow, he was scared of her emotionless face.

As if in a reflex, he placed his hand on her shoulder. And slowly, she gave in to him. She placed her head into his lap. He caressed her smooth locks.

The first tear fell down from her face. And then one after another... Her eyes filled up with them. He gently lifted her up and she clutched his shirt.

"Kyun Shravan kyun! Jab Mom Dad chale gaye tab Nanu ne mujhe sambhaala, meri family bane... Ab ab..."

Jab Koi Baat Bigad Jaaye,

Jab Koi Mushkil Padd Jaaye,

Tum Dena Saath Mera,

Oo Humnava

Naa Koi Hain, Naa Koi Tha,

Zindagi Mein, Tumhaare Sivaa

Tum Dena Saath Mera,

Oo Humnava!

He made her stand up and said

"Suman, I promise you I'll be there with you, now and forever"

She was shaken out of the trance. "Shravan... Woh.. Main ... Aditya"

"Shh!", he calmed her down.

"Do you love me?"

His gaze was such that she was forced into a Yes.

"Will you marry me Ms. Suman Tiwari?"

"Yes"

"Do you trust me?"

"More than myself"

"Then just wait and relax. And promise me you'll take care of yourself? I have to settle some things first", he said full of determination.
