Bollywood couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are set to mark this Diwali with a major milestone, moving into their newly constructed family bungalow in Mumbai’s upscale Pali Hill area. The property, estimated to be worth Rs 250 crore, represents a fresh chapter for the Kapoor family.
Sharing the news through an official statement, Alia and Ranbir expressed gratitude and requested privacy as they step into this new phase. “Diwali is all about gratitude and new beginnings. As we move into our new home, we are thankful for all the warmth and support you’ve shown us and we hope we can continue to rely on your consideration for our privacy and that of our family, home and wonderful neighbours. Sending you and your family all our love this festive season. Happy Diwali!" the couple said.
The six-floor property stands on the site of the former Krishna Raj bungalow, the Kapoor family’s long-standing residence. The newly built home reportedly includes modern interiors, multiple entertainment areas, and a spacious terrace garden.
With a valuation of Rs 250 crore, this Pali Hill bungalow ranks among the most expensive homes owned by Bollywood stars. It will serve as the primary residence for Ranbir, Alia, their daughter Raha, and Ranbir’s mother, veteran actress Neetu Kapoor.
The move holds both sentimental and symbolic value, blending cherished memories of the past with a promise of a fresh start. Choosing Diwali for this step adds further significance, aligning the occasion with new beginnings and family togetherness.
Alia continues to enjoy professional success alongside her personal milestones. She recently won her sixth Filmfare Award for Best Actress for her role in Jigra, surpassing notable names like Meena Kumari, Nutan, Kajol, and Vidya Balan. Sharing behind-the-scenes moments from the film on Instagram, she wrote, “This one will always stay closest to my heart … not just for the story we told, but for the incredible people who gave it life." Next on the horizon, Alia and Ranbir are set to reunite on screen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love And War, co-starring Vicky Kaushal, scheduled for release in March next year.
