Hi guys...I just watched the first episode of the show and it was fabulous...Shrenu is just too cool...She is playing a character so different from her usual style with so much ease...Kudos to her.

However I was curious about something...I was wondering if anyone here has seen a Tamil serial with a similar storyline...The show aired a long time back...Maybe 10 to 12 years back...I was in my 2nd grade or something at the time...I don't remember the name of the show but my family used to love it...It was aired for years and they followed it till the end...The first episode of that show too was similar...There is an elder daughter in law the whole family adores and is held in high respect by her FIL and MIL...The family wants the younger son who is a military guy coming back home to marry the DIL's younger sister...But he arrives with a wife and a dauggter...I don't remember much of the show but it was a hit show...Just out of curiosity I wanted to ask if anyone has watched that show and renereme the name

This show is a remake of anandam. This was confirmed by articles ages back when the show was first announced to air on star bharat initially.

Yes we all wish the same as in my eyes anandam was typical saas bahu only instead of the saas it was another bahu. 🥱 I want this show to be more thrilling with zain also having more to do.

Yes. Zain wouldn't have taken up the show unless his character too has an important role in exposing Janhvi when time comes. Also the other show had the younger DIL as protagonist. Here it is the evil bahu. So I don't think it will be a typical mahaan baby vs evil bahu thing.

I heard in Anandam the widows aka tanvis didn't hv much to do.

The Tashan was between the two ladies.

Maybe they might change the plot according to hindi audiences.

All the episodes are in YouTube. After watching some episodes I have been disappointed on Shrenu's role. In Tamil serial Abirami character was shown completely as the negative one. Shanthi character was the good one. Shrenu should have been selected for Shanthi"s role.

Shrenu wanted to do something different.

How long she will be playing the typical goody goody types.

Definitely her role will be meatier

I think we should give the show sometime before jumping into conclusions.

Don't worry.. Janhvi has strong valid reason to do this.. Both deepti and shrenu have confirmed ... She is perfectf for janhvis's role.. 😳

i watched dubbed version on and off long time back .that show ran for 6 yrs mostly it revolved around shanthi and abirami protogonist and antogonist ,good bahu versus bad bahu .karthik shanthi husband played by zain has no role in that show .i never understood why zain took up this show .even abirami husband madan had some role .

janvi's character goes to jail in the original one .

zain character ex girlfriend returns with son later .shanthi decides to unite them for sake of son

difference is original one shanthi has a daughter here kavya has a son

romance is never shown in south shows . they have to change original script to fit zain's character .
