PART III. MAIN TUMHAARE SAATH HOON!

Dressed in a white Chudidaar Antara stood few steps behind Raghu staring at his back. She raised her hand wanting to touch him but at the last moment withdraw it. She felt tears well up in her eyes at Raghu's plight. As she stared at Raghu, she noticed him staring at the lake in front of them. His shoulders were shaking as if he was crying. She knew why he was crying. He was crying because he had lost someone today; someone precious to him, someone who meant a world to him. She walked by him and stood beside him. She turned and looked at his face. His face was marked with tear tracks which he kept on wiping furiously every few minutes. Rajveer and Simran had offered them their house to stay and rest before going back to Mumbai but Raghu had come down here for some peace. Suddenly, Raghu turned and hugged her tightly. She hugged him back as tears from his eyes dropped on her shoulder wetting her dress but she did not care about it. For her at that moment, Raghu was more important. As Raghu cried, he whispered only one word, "Kyun?" but Antara understood. She understood his pain, his anguish, his feeling of betrayal, his anger at the world in that one word. As they stood there for a while, Antara remembered how Raghu had saved her.

When Daya Mai had pointed the gun at her, Antara was certain that she would loose her life in the next moment. Daya Mai fired her gun. But before the bullet could reach her, Antara was pushed out of the way and onto the floor. She looked up and into the eyes of her savior who was none other than Raghu. She wanted to smile at him, but the expression on Raghu's face froze her. She knew at the moment that Raghu had heard everything. He had come to know the true face of his Daya Mai, his God. In that one moment she knew that the illusion Daya Mai had created in Raghu's eyes was broken and left behind was a broken man betrayed by the very person who he trusted the most. But this was not the moment to let loose your emotions. This was the time to fight! Raghu understood this point very well as he rolled himself and Antara away from the goons and got up. In a swift move reminiscent to a tiger jumping on a prey Raghu pounced on a goon and started fighting. This let loose the pandemonium in the room as Rajveer joined the fighting fray. Each man took 5 goons at once fighting with all their heart while Simran ran upto to Antara and both the ladies huddled themselves away from the melee going around.

Rajveer and Raghu gave as good as they got and soon the goons started lessening as the least brave ones ran off from the fight. In between all this Daya Mai had vanished away God knows where. Soon, there was no one left behnd except Rajveer, Raghu, Antara and Simran. Simran had ran off and hugged Rajveer but Raghu and Antara stood there staring at each other, drinking each other's presence and just happy that each of them were still alive and standing. Finally, Antara could not handle it and hurled herself at Raghu who caught her and both hugged each other tightly. That one moment Antara was sure she would never forget. It was the moment she knew that everything will be fine as long as Raghu was with her!

Rajveer and Simran invited Raghu and Antara to their house and Raghu and Antara had agreed. As they reached the house, Simran asked Antara to come with them for change of clothes and Antara agreed. After changing into a white chudidaar which Simran lent her, Antara went in search of Raghu who, she found from Rajveer, was visiting the nearby lake. Understanding Raghu's need for some alone time to digest the truth laid in front of them by Daya Mai so brutally, Antara decided to sit with Rajveer chatting. That was when she learned from Rajveer that when Raghu and Rajveer discovered, from the noise coming from the mobile, that they were in the nearby factory, they had burst into the factory with only one single thought and that was destroying anybody coming in their way. When they had reached the open door Rajveer had thought of barging but it was Raghu who quieted him down and warned him to stay quiet. He signalled that they should listen to the discussion and go in only at right time. Raghu had wanted to understand the reason behind the kidnapping and also to judge the enemy they were going to fight against. As they heard the discussion going on inside, Raghu face darkened and darkened and soon there was nothing but hatred written on them. Rajveer confessed to Antara that he was scared for a moment seeing Raghu's face and felt thankful that Raghu was on his side. It was only when Daya Mai had pointed the gun at Antara that Raghu gave the signal to enter. Rajveer ended his monologue with the words that he was sure that at such a moment Raghu would need Antara and she should be with him right now. Antara thanked him and ran away to look after her Raghu.

When Antara had found Raghu, she had just stood ten feet away from him and drank his strong form with craving eyes. Never had felt she felt as safe as she felt when Raghu pushed her away from Daya Mai's bullet and both had rolled away towards safety. Even in the melee going around, Antara felt safe because Raghu was there. She admired the black colored kurta Raghu wore which Rajveer must have lent him. From behind, it looked like Raghu was staring at the lake and enjoying the quiet time. Only Antara knew what was Raghu feeling as only she could read the defeat in his posture. She finally could not resist and walked towards him with only one purpose; to comfort him.

It was after a while when Raghu pulled away from Antara's embrace and looked back at the lake. "Kyun?", he repeated again and Antara hugged him sideways placing her head on his shoulder. "Kyun Daya Mai ne mereko itna bada dhoka diya Antara?" Antara just stayed quiet allowing Raghu to vent his heart out. "Main toh Mai se pyaar karta tha lekin unke liye main sirf ek pyaada tha, shatranj ka pyaada!", he mumbled and she felt tears fall on her cheeks. He pulled away from her and let out a shout, "KYUN? DAYA MAI KYUN?" He let out an aggressive pain filled scream and fell on his knees sobbing while mumbling inbetween "Kyun?" Antara let him cry for a while but then she ran towards him and felt on her knees beside him. She hugged him tightly letting him vent his tears on frustration on her shoulder again.

After a while, Raghu and Antara were found seated by the lake side with Raghu having his head in Antara's lap while Antara brushing her fingers on his hair. "Miss Call?", Raghu broke the silence and Antara hummed in response. "Tu toh mujhe chodke nahi jaayegi na? Tu toh mujhe dhoka nahi degi na?", he whispered in an innocent way letting her see his vulnerable side; the side which he always kept hidden from the world. She felt tears again in her eyes but refused to let them slide, "Yeh kaise sawaal hai Raghu? Antara kab Raghu se alag hui hai jo ab hogi! Main Tumhaare Saath Hun Raghu! Aur har pal rahungi!" Raghu sighed but accepted her answer. "Main Mumbai mein nahi rahunga Miss Call! Mujhe udhar nahi rehna!", Raghu spoke after a while. Antara felt her heart clench as she realized that Raghu was planning to get away from Mumbai and may be from her too. Before she could say anything Raghu continued, "Hum udhar nahi rahenge! Kahin aur jaayenge! Tu, Main, teri Mummy, Ishu, Machmach! Hum sab kahin door jaayenge! Is gunda gardi aur maut ke saudagaron se door, bahut door! Imaandaari ki zindagi jeeyenge! Ab nahi chaahiye yeh zindagi mujhe jahaan meri apni Mai mujhse khel khelti ho!" Antara felt her heart lighten as she heard Raghu's words. Him, her, Mumma, Ishu aur Machmach! All of them away from the deceit and hate of Mumbai having their own little world filled with love and happiness. As the time passed, they dreamed about such a future for a while. Both knew that Daya Mai would not let her favorite pawn in her chessboard get away so easily. They knew that life would be a big struggle from now on. They would have to fight the whole world for gaining their little world but they were ready to do that as long as both were together. As Raghu went to sleep in Antara's lap after going through a turmoil filled day, Antara knew that everything will be okay from now on. It will take time for Raghu to recover from the betrayal but he would move on one day! They would move on one day! And one day they will have their happy little world!
