Absolutely right yaar...I am with u on this one...we all claim that we know what true love is but in reality we really don't know what LOVE is....and moving is not a bad thing at all!

@Seert. Let's agree to leave Shakespeare out of this, I was just curious..one of those flash moments in my crazy head.. I do think there is a difference between just living and living with love though..like a wilted flower and that brimming with life. Everyone has a different perception of love and what it means to them. I don't want to dwell on that aspect because no two beings are alike and neither are their thoughts. And as long as two people are happy that's all that matters ultimately. The 'filmi' concept of love is a marketing ploy to a large extent because reality as it's been discussed in this thread isn't always perfect or necessarily pretty, it may include hardships or struggles or working on a relationship like you mentioned..or for some, it may even be every bit like that fairytale romance.. But these cheesy romantic shows and movies and FFs😆, which I am a sucker for BTW provides reprieve from those mundane day to day struggles..The difference is real and reel, and then there is this whole aspect of commercial viability too🤓, look at it as an attractive packaging.. now I'm going off in a different tangent..ermm.🤔. I better stop.. With regards to love for your family, I don't think it's appropriate to compare that with the love for your spouse or better half.. or even generalise..I tend to think, love takes that moment of realization of what's infront of you..for some it may be months or years ..while for others it may be that moment itself..wooh! I need some coffee now.

Ciao Bella!

hey, im gonna speak with a little experience, im a 20 year old girl, who has been in a relationship for a while now, and i can say, the day we break up ( if we break up that is), i know i will hurt for a while, but i will pick up the pieces and move on, i will always wish him the best, and maybe continue my friendship with him, but i am not going to lament and think, geez, he was my one true love, i believe that we don't just come in this world, to find someone and thats it we will become the next eternal lovers, and personally im too young to actually find the true definition of love, i find what Armaan and Riddhima show, as a 20 something old couple, is that it is definitely possible to move on, sometimes the person we thought we could possibly spend the rest of lives happily , is not really the person afterall, i mean yes i would love it if i could spend the rest of my life with my man, but if doesn't work out, i will want to move on and find my actual happiness... And i say we all are entitled to doing so, i mean Armaan-Riddhima are not eternal lovers, gosh, give me a break, if there are people who really believe that good luck to them, but i mean they were in "love" but its not the end of the world if they don't get together...

lol... sorry for my long and boring post, but i just felt i needed to express myself and ps.. i agree with Neetz and all the girls who do also believe that there is nothing wrong with moving on!

@Aria:Hey Aria!
Firstly I hope you become a regular on this forum b/c as much as I love your writing, I'm really liking your posts as well.
It's true that everyone has a different perspective of love, just like we have a different perspective on loads of other emotions. But yes ultimately it's the happiness that counts, because isn't that what the ultimate goal is?
Agreed that the filmi concept of love is purely a capitalist idea...along with Valentine's day, Hallmark cards and other such silly capitalist ploys. And yes all of this corny stuff is for pure entertainment and of course I enjoy it as well hence I watch the show, read the FFs, and watch some very corny Indian movies. I totally get what you mean about the commercial aspect and I'm not confusing real with reel, because the real word is definitely NOT like the reel life. I answered your query with regards to real life, my apologies if you were talking about the show.
Hmm well the love for your better half is different from your family, but ultimately I think it all boils down to your's and their happiness and how comfortable you are with each other. As you said it might take time or it might be sudden, but I think in most cases it takes times. Again I'm not one to believe in love at first sight either.
I think we may have diverged from the topic and your question, but I'd like to conclude by saying that not everyone has experienced love, and we cannot even define it objectively. Hence the meaning will vary along with the time limit on it.

First thing's first, can you STOP generalising! There are also AR fans who think 'moving on' is not a bad idea. Perhaps you can say some/most? I, for one, believe in 'moving on'. It's really pissing me off when people freakin target AR fans day and night.
What is WRONG in wanting AR as a couple? Just because we want them together doesn't mean we all are against moving on.
I am not an 'obsessed' AR lover just to let you know. :)
Sure, for you AR might not be a 'legendary' or 'tragic' couple but for some they do believe AR are. SO what? It's their opinions and you CANNOT force them to change their minds. I can assure you that if KaSh were AR most their fans would ALSO be against this 'moving on' thing!
Lol, if some people believe that dying for someone is true love what's wrong in that? Would you die for someone you don't exactly love? Everyone has a different definition to love because as a matter of fact there is not a single definition for it!
And your last point point about letting DMG be realistic, well what's the point in that? DMG lost all its realistic touch LONG BACK! And it's too late now..DMG is a fictional show, which means its supposed to be really different from reality! Wouldn't the audience get bored watching the same thing as reality??The whole purpose of FICTION is to keep us entertained and show us something very different from reality in my opinion.
