Actually I don't know anyone like this in real life but I have seen too many divorces out of arrange marriage in my real life.

Yes, I have seen Superhit movie last year LLOVE AAJKAL exactly on same concept. Deepika leaves her caring husband because she realized after marriage Saif is her life. If India is still Taboo about divorce why that movie was first blockbuster of 2009 where a girl divorce his caring loving husband on her honeymoon for her ex-lover.

And Humko deewana kar gaye movie was on real incident love story of couple in Toronto who were friend of director raj kanwar. You can read at this link but I have seen picture of that couple in 2006. http://www.indiaglitz.com/channels/hindi/article/20783.html

it IS still a taboo in India dear ! Otherwise KANK would have done the same business in India like across the globe.. But it was mainly popular amongst NRI's..

Anyways, divorce is appreciable when the wife or husband is mentally tortured by the other, or say they feel like it's IMPOSSIBLE to live with each other.. But unless it's the height of intolerance, the wife always tries to make it work.. We can see the similar examples in other Indian shows as well.. :D

LAK was a super hit in India? :( ok.. I thought it had done mediocre business.. Anyways, in HDKG, they were never married.. Even DDLJ supports ur concept ;)

Nice topic Ramsha. 😊
Well I personally have not heard of these kinds of situations where the girl is married but later goes back to her ex. I guess its a 50/50 thing, somtimes it can happen and somtimes it doesn't. It all really depends on the people involved in the situation, the familes, the culture, the society and etc.
I personally don't support arranged marriages due to the changing and modern times. From what I hear and know, arranged marriages half the time work, and half the time don't. If not love, I feel you atleast need to know and like the person whom you're getting married to very well. Marrying a stranger is totally out of the question for me.
Anyways, coming back to the point...I may not be a SR fan but I feel breaking a marriage for your ex love isn't really the best idea. Compromises can be worked out because compromising in a relationship is important whether its in love or marriage. Its a part of reality. If compromises really are not working, then the next option would be to leave the relationship. If Sid willingly frees Riddhima from the marriage, then thats a different thing and is acceptable if she goes back to Armaan. If Riddhima herself decides to break the marriage and return to Armaan, I just don't find it 'right' in some sense.
As much as I love Armaan, Sid is such a fabulous character and if I were in Riddhima's place and had a husband like Sid...I would most probably stay with him. Ofcourse first love is never easy to forget, but we're human beings...we can always learn to love someone else. It all depends how a person can cope with their feelings.

Oh ok but that does not really simplifies the situation i posted..

Ofcourse Riddhima won't marry someone else if she was not married and if SR had nothing but they do...

But good to see more stories..

Love aajkal medicore business first get fact than claim. It was blockbuster with 74 croroes. It was biggest blockbuster till 3 idiots take out it in Dec. Out of which love aajkal made record of 25 crores in opening weekend from India. I know everyone will come up with stupid example of KANK which was 4 years back. It failed because it showed infidelity from 2 actors not that it just showed divorce. If you are really unhappy in marriage best way is to inform your partner about it, about your reasons not that keep him/her in dark and have extra maritial affair which Loveaajkal avoided

Forgot Love Aaj Kal... you can't compare that marriage to Siddhima's marriage.. it was totally different and the hero heroine hardly felt for anyone other then each other but thats not the case with Riddhima..

Its more like HDDCS...

Ooooooo chill Invisible.. And thanks for that Info :D I checked the ratings, it was rated 5.5 out of 10 in most of the sites.. So didn't think it was a hit..

Anyways, yeah ! KANK was abt EMA.. and not divorce.. Good Point :D
