why are people finding it so hard to get my point?? domestic violence is very common, but Viraaj's character, his cuningness, and the screenplay is not, a similar track has been shown in the show Sasural Genda Phool, however I find that track a lot more realistic then this track! I mean how many men have the power and the intelligence to put a man behind bars??? Viraaj has way too much wit and brain for a wreckless, twisted and a mentally disturbed, obsessed lover! and for your information you are insulting me by thinking that I do not know anything on this matter!!! do you think I am uneducated or something??? I have researched and written a thesis on this in my gender class!

First of all, no need to get so fired up. I didn't attack you in my post, I merely put forward what I couldn't understand from your topic.

What people are trying to tell you is that people like Viraj's character exist! You cannot just make the presumption that someone like Viraj is impossible to exist just because you cannot grasp onto the reality of the situation.

It's sometimes killers, stalkers, obsessed psychopaths that have cunning minds as to not leave a trail behind and to manipulate people to their own wishes.

I didn't call you uneducated, so no need to put words in my mouth.
If you have researched and done a thesis then you should know that people like Viraj do exist. And i am not just making that statement out of thin air, I know people who have experienced someone like Viraj. Which is why I find it shocking that you are refusing to see the other side to the coin and acknowledging that someone like Viraj may exist in reality.

Ummm but which show is REAL? Does falling catching, dupatta flying romance and eye-locks happen in real? I guess one show Balika Vadhu started off with reality, but even it has become unrealistic now. I guess audience prefers unrealistic things that is why shows are made like that😊

Ohh so u r telling me that u know an abusive man that have put an innocent man in jail! and that u actually know a dadi that knows that her granddaughter is getting abused and yet stays quite about the matter! by the way Viraaj is not a psychopath, I am a psychology student so I would know! his mind/ his actions are so random and as a psych student I cannot grasp his characterization or as a viewer do not find the screenplay convincing! period

Those who want a dose of pure reality, I humbly request to go and watch Discovery etc, or buy/rent some Documentaries/ Docudramas... This is a fiction show, and its one purpose is also to offer entertainment... And we are getting entertained...

Secondly @Nkapoor2, I don't know if your thesis was based on just some books, or internet source... How many real life cases (including patients and victims) have you referenced?... No one is saying your are uneducated, but with all due respect, college thesis are very basic in nature. Maybe yours was detailed one. You are studying psychology/psychiatry, but not a qualified clinical Psychologist/Psychiatrist yet.

I have no idea if Psychology/Psychiatry is your major subject or not. But since you are studying psychology, you must have heard of mixed personality disorder (F61). Which can be a combination of two or more of ten personality disorders, classified under F60, in the tenth revision (ICD-10) of WHO'S ISCDRHP. You mentioned in one of your posts, that you did this thesis in 'gender' class. So was the paper/thesis, gender based psychological problems, then your paper must have been dealing with F64, F65 and F66.

I think we should end this thread here, before IF becomes a boring lecture hall. Who would go to college then!

look dude the kind of smartness Viraaj has does not gell well with any sort of psychological disorder/s! yes Psychology is my major! and thanks for accepting that the show is not realistic, I feel a more realistic show could have been made using the same background/topic period!

What do you think is the maximum IQ of any psychological patient? And does 'manipulation' is characteristic of any psychological disorder?

I cant understand one thng that u r saying..cant a person having a psychological disorder like Viraj who probably has OCD or OCPD, be smart n cunning too?? Moreover this is a daily show, the CVs do have to bring dramatic twists n turns alongwith the reality, otherwise who wil watch the show??
