parvati was shown more as wife, mother and daughter and whenever she took adishakti form that was for her children's safety and not for the world. like in batuk mahadev and mahishasur vadh. mahadev always had to remind her about her duties and all. i even thought of boycotting the show when she asked forgiveness from mahadev during vinayak's beheading. i never saw that in any other show. i am happy that now she is shown more as adishakti.

Jalandhar story too if u look at it Parvati was the reason why he was killed so her involvement is necessary in the story. I infact question that whole track because they never gave importance to Vrinda or her sacrifice.

Devi Parvati is Lord Shiva's power which is why she is by his side. The power or energy of Shiva is Shakti, his spouse. Shiva is inseparable from Shakti. There is no Shiva without Shakti and no Shakti without Shiva, the two are one consciousness and the absolute state of being.

If u remember the famous dialogue Shiv hi Parvati, Parvati hi Shiv.
As far as killing demons we have been saying this why can't DKDM show stories as mentioned in purans some deviations are fine with emotions but why not show stories more or less as mentioned in greater texts.

the basic problem is tht if u advocate "Go strictly as the story says" then it has got to be one entity..
Looking at Jalandhar and Andhak completly from Shiv Puran POV wen I read those tales I hardly found Parvati's involvement in the actual killing...!!

its highly appreciable tht DKDM has not followed this formula.. but then we can't even ignore tha fact that taking Shiv Parvati hai and Vice Versa and Shiv Shakti Viheen Shav hai too literally the tracks have been messed up..!!

as regards to Shakti.. She being Shiv's power.. her actions basically act as the Reasons for Shiv to come out of his Isolation and to react. This is a very simple equation..

and as you said in @bold Parvati was the REASON why Jalandhar got killed..!! definitely I am not questioning that.. What I am questioning is tha fact tht Shiv was able to behead Ganesh but was unable to kill his OWN Ansh.. definitely it has got nothing to do with Parvati being physically present with Shiva while the killing was done..!

and even if we say that Parvati lost her powers due to amnesia.. bt going by DKDM reason all her power flowed back to Shiva only.. so practically Shiv was performing the duties of both Shiv and Parvati..!!

One way is, they are the same n inseparable.. which is true..

Other way is,they are polar opposites , inseparable, complimentary n complete each other..together they are called parabhrahman...the ultimate reality..the supreme god..which is also true..

However, even if one views them as the same entity or complimentary entities..the truth is, to speak of one is to speak of another...n there is absolutely no scope for a fight in order to decide who is greater than who..they are both great n together they r the greatest..

But both of them have their own respective roles to play..n the legends in our puranas pertaining to each entity depict their individual role n importance.. n it is important to preserve the sanctity of such legends so that the role of each entity is crystal clear which in turn leaves no room for a fight regarding who is greater than who.. n that is precisely where dkdm went horribly wrong..they did not preserve the sanctity of legends instead in order to involve mahadev in every track they got carried away n ended up distorting our legends n thereby giving rise to all this negativity surrounding Aadi Shakthi's portrayal in the show..

Moreover, I dont feel there is anything wrong in insinuating that mahadev cannot move a muscle without parvathi..bcoz its true..mahadev is static whereas parvathi is dynamic...n "Shiva without Shakthi is shava"..that is where it came from..but y is it such a bad thing?.. m sure mahadev wouldn't mind..its not an insult in anyway rather a compliment to his marital life..

@ bold indeed nothing wrong in that..!! but the way makers have portray this is what makes me question them..!!

my complains are only with the team.. the way they frame the story the ppl get a tinge of superiority of one entity frm the other..! something that did not exist wen DKDM started be it b/w Shiv Shakti ot Tridevs.. it was the importance of each other in the Universe was what attracted me to the show

and secondly going for Andhak..!!
Shiv puran we know that Bhadrakali swallowed up all his blood.. but it was finally Shiva who brought him to chastisement..!!

in DKDM Shiva evrytime jst spoke to P tht "its upto you Priye.. U are Jagatmata and all tht" and ultimately Parvati in a way chastises Andhak in DKDM..!!

this argument is not indicating on "who is superior?" This point I raised to see that how much confusion the makers have created by taking Shiv Shakti viheen Shav way too literally..!!

the only one episode whr i felt good was wen Vidyunmali made Shiva his bodyguard and Sati came to rescue him frm thre..!! that was the point whre I saw that Mutual Admiration in Shiv Shakti

Hi, I am facing problems today, IF keeps loading partially or not at all! Anybody else facing this problem? I thought the maintainance notice was for 2nd April..
===
Back to DKDM = basically I find that Parvati/Adi Shakti is shown to be taking decisions for personal reasons or acting out of petty personal feelings, and Mahadev has to always explain or persuade her to act for the Sansar. In some later stories, which are actually not from to the Purans, there are some such stories, but these are considered to be written more by later writers with a more patriachial bent of mind.
Whereas in my understanding , which is based on all the literature and books I have read so far, Adi Shakti acts as the catalyst to get Shiva to engage with the Sansar. Her task being two fold, one that he does not give up Vairag entirely and at the same time that he be engaged with the worldly affairs. So when they show her in DKDM as acting - for want of a better word 'selfish' (the word was actually used in DKDM when Shiv explains to Parvati why Vinayak's head was cut off!!), it really gets my goat.
Also, although they started showing the Adi Shakti tracks - they made a mess of it. All you guys already know the available stories of Mahalsa Narayani and also Goddess Bharambara Devi. In fact the Goddess Bharambara Devi story is really spectacular - they could actually have used it as it is.
As I always say the Mahalsa track was saved by Sudesh Berry. Mata, Mata, Mata...

Mahadev is the ultimate husband and what ever leelas they evoke is for jagat ka kalyan.
Parvati can demand a gajra from her husband because Parmeshwar that he is will abide by every wish which leads to something spectacular and comes Adiyogi who teaches Ashtang Yog to Parvati and thereby giving greater enlightenment to the universe.

If u look at it at a petty humane perspective it will look like Parvati was probably acting like a typical wife but never forget they are not petty mortals whatever they do is not petty but always does bring out something spectacular.

I have particularly loved the devotion and complete commitment that Mahadev and Parvati share for each other.

The show in the beginning focused on Shiv Shakti trying to unite with each other. There was no other story or anything other than that.

Parvati is the consort of Shiv and together they prescribe the true essence of marriage and true love with all the trials and tribulations.

If she falls on his feet it is out of respect because he is also her guru. He is a Pati Parmeshwar in the true sense. Ofcourse mere mortals misuse it for their own self needs.

ShivShakti are equal and one in that aspect because if she is submissive it is her own choice and not because either of them are superior or inferior infact Shakti in many cases is the strongest. In some of the versions it states that Parvati was happiest and most content as being Shiv's wife and mother to his children.

@ bold...!! Anu I want give you a tight hug for this...!! finally there is some one who understands that Parvati falling o Shiv's feet does NOT maker her look weak...!! 👏

for even though Parvati became Shiv's wife.. She never ceased to Be HIS DEVOTEE.. and His student..!! If she feels that she offended her Guru.. she out of her own love and respect for Him asks for his forgiveness and this is A SIGN of Greatness of Parvati...!!

Shiv Shakti means egoless, selfless entities the Ardhnarishwar.. having Mutual affections and admirations for each other as a whole and as Individuals too ..!!

anubharad:

Yeah, I too love the "the devotion and complete commitment that Mahadev and Parvati share for each other." aspect and do not object to the Pati Parmeshwar as well.
The devotion is also shown to be mutual, which makes for a beautiful relationship.

The perspective provided by DKDM for Parvati/Adi Shakti's actions are really questionnable.
