Jallandar l Vrinda - The DKDM Mess

This is merely an analysis of Jallandars Character and Why DKDM has made a mess out of it.
Who was Jallandar -
1. Pure Evil , a Egoist, Arrogant, Over confident, Sinful. there was no grey shades of this person. He was born from Mahadev anger.
2. He had no Mommy Issues like shown in this serial. [ this was to get empathy from the audience]
3. He was No Psycho [ reasons known to DKDM he was shown as one]
4. He wanted full power, full control, he wanted to rule over the universe.
5. He wanted beautiful women, Parvathy just being one of the many
Who was Vrinda
1. Pure Good
2. Pati Vrata, simply devoted to her husband
3. Devotee of Lord vishnu
4. Lived under the shadow of her asur husband, but held on to her beliefs and that was her strength

Why the Track was Important.
For Women , For the Shakthi in each of us to take wings and fly out
What DKDM gave us
I watch the Jallandar track unfold and was happy about it, But in no time realised where it was headed.
The channel dramatically changed the Principal behaviour of Jalandar.

What took the cake
Yesterday episode.
Justification of taking Parvathy,
I Love You and I have taken this step fo us. I abducted parvaty and the world is against me boo hooo .
and Vrinda nodding away like some mooney eyed wife.[ which she was not]
What DKDM showed was
Women can be taken for granted
Women can be used any way a man wants.
Women will do special pooja for the husband and assure him no bad things will ever befall him!!!!!
A few words of love will immediately make a woman submissive and agree with anything a man says.
The biggest Irony was people were getting angry with us for bashing Jallandar!!!!
But for me the saddest part was it was women who were getting angry.
Some of the Questions that I was ready to Face
1. They show all types of bad thngs in serials.
Ans _ those are saas bahu serials which have low standards

2. How can one track change the behaviour of the people
Ans - No it cannot change, but at least the viewers would have got to see what evil can lead too. Millions watch this serial, it would have had a small idea ticking in everyones brains. I am not saying we r going to have a country with guys who will never lift their finger against women, But a small step is what i looked for

3. Everyone has their Point of View
Ans - Does evil have a Point of View . Evil is evil, which ever way you look,

4. Women Love bad guys
Ans - Bad is so different from Evil .

5. You are bashing Mohit Raina
Ans - No I am not, I would have loved it if Mohit had been painted completely dark character, total evil , a dark force, He would have been brilliant. By giving him shades of Niceness, the audience forgot what the story was all about, the Morality of the track lost.

Is this what I want to see in a Serial that had set standards so high in the beginning?
Someone commented that Jallandar is good looking and hence ...what ever?
My question if I am being raped or molested, am I going to look at his face and feel O M G he is so handsome please go ahead Molest me?

jaya di good post but i am afraid that this post could be consider as a bashing post for some membersi am also very frustrated after watching yesterday's episode😭i mean how can a man justify the act of kidnapping a women😡and that too when she was unaware of whats happening😭

they are saying there are various version on which version jalandhar was a rebel or good man in beginning?? it was Mahishasur and Andhakasur not jalandhar

Vrinda lost complete sympathy yesterday and now i am whole heartedly supporting vishnu for whatever he is doing because vishnu had to suffer for what he did he knew it but he had no option left

vinda was not like this in any puran.

Jaya. Thank you for the post. You have addressed all things that is wrobg with this track. This is not about liking or hating Jalandhar. That would be a success to the charcterisation. Here there is a disconnect for thosevof us who see the artist and the character as two seperate entities. One moment he is Asur Raj and the next he cries for mommy because he is alone? He obviously needs help from a shrink...but that fact simply goea over his Pathivratha wifes head. She is just happy at promise of a future with him. Strength in character indeed. Mandodharis reaction and interacrion with Ravan when she comes to know of Sitas abduction by her husband must have provided some reference. Anyway..to each his or her own I guess...this is DKDM after all..Drama Ke Drama Melodrama...

I do adore jalandhar (my personal view), but i do agree wid u tht the justifcation fr abduction was sumthng tht a sane person wud never ever give or agree too fr tht matter. He abducted n wateva reason he might gve nothing can justify this sin.

TM excellent post...I was OK with Jallu as long as he was questioning and challenging status quo...That was OK...If a person thinks he has ability to be one of Tridevs ,then why not!

loving a negative character or hating is based on acting of the actor..me and jaya mam both love Rahukaal in Savitri far far more than Satya the hero only because of his acting and strong portrayal
(not talking abt other show here just giving example) but knowing he is complete evil his deed can't be justified but its a fiction

same way loving jalandhar for mohit's acting is ok but justifying his action?? NO
and then we have to remember its not a fiction show its mytho and creative liberty is justified when there is not enough information and also justified to present a story beautifully but downright changing whatever written in scripture and history for sake of entertainment
