Sorry to disagree... but I didn't the book /s at all. In fact, detested them. It is rare that I find a book unreadable and this was one of them.
Why use names and characters from the Puranas if you are going to weave you own story? Here Shiva is a Tibetian tribal chief who just happens to have bluish tinge on his throat. He seeks refuge in a kingdom where Sati happens to be the king's daughter and she is a child widow...Seriously...
I completely agree with you...the storyline, suspense were good...but its a completely different from purana...he took some happenning of Shiva and make a logical explanation by his own way...that"s his freedom...but why he used the same name and relation? Only just for publicity?
