i read there is also an intermediate or young parvati? maybe that intermediate teenage parvati will start her tapasya and will grow up to be sonarika, for whom mahadev will come down to test her?

From what I've read/heard...Parvati doesn;t start her tapasya till after Shiva rejects her (after the Kama episode).

Just to give you a rough sketch of what I have read.

Himavan takes Parvati and few other girls and asks Shiva to let them serve him. Parvati of course is attracted to Shiva , but he is totally indifferent...then gods then get impatient (as usual) and send Kama and Rati. When Kama shoots his arrow, Shiva does get attracted to Parvati, but he controls himself, gets seriously pissed off 😆 and reduces Kama to ashes...and then declares that he has no time for women etc ...

It's after this that Parvati, with the permission of her parents, starts her tapasya...and after a very long time Shiva comes to test her...

and all's well that ends well 😃

@Nandini if you remember when the promos of Mahadev had come they had only shown Mouni and not Mohit,Mohit was shown only at the end of the first episode...i guess they are using the same tactic here!

i remember my curiosity to see Mahadev👏
the first time i encountered the trick was with Hrithik in Kaho na pyar hai...remember the promos never showd him...the pair dancing to the song was given in long shots or blurred... it really irked me, for i was dying to see what he really looked like.
Sonarika looks beauiful, yet a bit too young to play a mother. Fingers crossed ...hope what matuarity she misses in appearance she will compensate with a mature performance
the new promo looks very apt in describing Sonarika

As this Small Girl Grows upto be Anushka Sen (Mid-Parvati)
And Anushka grows upto be Sonarika!

Mouni was Great as Sati and would have been Great as Parvati.
