Is Maa Durga a roop of Parvathi or the combined shakti of Laskhmi Saraswathi & Parvathi?

DSS has mainly 3 charitas. 1st is Pratham charitra of Mahakali, 2nd is Madhyam charitra of MahaLakshmi, killing Mahishasur, 3rd Uttam charitra of MahaSaraswati, where Kalika & other Devata's shakti like Varahi, Aindri, Brhmani etc comes to fight & kill Chanda, Munda, Dhumralichana, Raktabeeja, Shumbh, Nishumbh etc.

In the Murti-Rahasya in DSS, MahaLakshmi is worshipped as 18 handed Goddess with Mahishasur at her feet. MahaSaraswati is 8 handed form, Mahakali is in her original form with 10 hands.

To kill Mahishasur with the combined energy of all the Devatas 18 handed Ma Durga had appeared, after killing him she merged in Parvati.

When Shumbh Nishumbh started troubling Devatas then on their prayer, Ma Durga appeared from Parvati, that was her 8 hands form.

I just wanted to get something straight- Sati and Parvati are the same person, but they are born in different circumstances.

Why is Parvati AdiShakti herself, when Sati is a form of AdiShakti? (that is what Vishnuji said today)

Sorry, checking it out, found out that the Shiva purana, Skanda purana & Devi puranas are all not there.

I googled, and found this site containing the Shiva puranas. It seems a tad abridged, so if anyone has the originals, including the Sanskrit originals, nothing like it. But it seems simple enough to give people a true account of what happened. Some stories there, even I had never read of - like Mahadev and the imitation Parvati
I'll google more later to see if I can dig up Skanda Purana and Devi Purana
