I keep saying this to anyone who posts similar doubts - if you want to know what really happened, I'd suggest reading the original texts or their authentic translations.

This series shows a very different story.

Sati chose Shiva as her husband during her Swayamvara against her father's wishes. After the wedding, Daksha told her to go without his blessings and get out of his sight. She went away to Kailash with her husband - no escorts, no maids, no companions, etc.

I don't know if Sati had any female company in Kailash - perhaps the wives of ganas if any but as far as I've read, nothing is mentioned about it.

Of course, Shiva would have provided whatever she needed but female company 🤔 - don't think so...

Parvati, on the other hand left her home for Kailash with all she needed (provided by her parents). She even had two companions - Jaya and Vijaya.

Once, in Kailash, Parvati wanted to take a bath. She left Shiva ganas as guards (some stories say at the entrance of a cave but others say it was a lake and she left the ganas as guards at a distance) to prevent anyone from entering. She told them not to let anyone enter. But when Lord Shiva himself came to meet Parvati, the ganas could not stop him. Shiva said 'I'm Parvati's husband and you dare stop me?' Fearing their Lord's anger, they stood aside and let Him in.

When Lord Shiva reached Parvati, He found her bathing with her companions. Jaya and Vijaya were totally embarrassed on Lord Shiva and realising that they weren't presentable. Lord Shiva turned and left (embarrassed on intruding). Jaya and Vijaya commented that though Parvati was was a goddess, she doesn't have anyone who will guard/protect her at all times. The ganas always follow Lord Shiva and will not do anything against Him. There is no one for Parvati who will guard her privacy which led to Parvati creating Ganesh.

The scene was portrayed well in Ganesh Leela and I think, Om Namah Shivaya too.

Dhumavati is mentioned at 3 places. 1) She gulped Shivji when he refused to pay attention when she was hungry. But Shivji came out soon, he told her since you have eaten your husband you will be worshipped as a widow.
2) As per Markandeya Purana, she is no a widow but unmarried. Once during war she took sankalpa of marrying the person who will deafeat her in war. No one till now has being able to defeat her, that's why she is unmarried.
3) She is also considered as the smoke that came out due to burning of Sati's body at Daksh's yagya.

I don't know if this has been discussed before, but I recently started watching Mahadev and hadn't had the time to go through entire discussion.

Does anyone know why the married sisters of Sati (Aditi, and Khyati) live at their father's house?

during ...MAHABHARATA ...when Shree Krishna was delivering Gita ..he showed his VISHWAROOPAM .. to Arjun...where all Gods is shown in that Roop...But in books of Gita ...there is no such pics..

He also says whoever believe in me can pray me in any form...

either in d form MOTHER..AS ---Goddess Durga

either in d form of frnd AS--- Shree krishna.

@Suman7,i will answer ur questions one by one.
SAB DHARMO K BHEDON SE NYARE AMAR HAI GITA KE BOL SAARE ... It is said... tu mera sharnagat hoza, main har paap se mukti dunga ,
shok na kar meri bhakti mein khoja...
It means if u leave all da sansarik maya,ur relationships and do only bhakti of God wid true devotion all da time, den God will forgive u 4 all da sins u hv done and u will attain moksha.dis sansar is full of hatred, pains and troubles.u will never get true happiness in sansar.u will get true happiness by only doing bhakti of God.dis sansarik happiness or materialistic pleasures r temporary whereas spiritual happiness is permanent.
Yes,Lord Krishna had indeed showed his vishwa roop 2 Arjun after he wished 2 see dat.In da Bhagavat Geeta which i hv,dere's a painting of Krishna's vishwa roop.
In Vishnu Puran,Vishnu is told 2 be more important dan oder Gods.In Shiv Puran,Shiv is said 2 be more important and in Devi Puran,Devi Adishakti is said 2 be more important. Each book has given more importance 2 it's respective God but i feel all da Gods r equally important. No one is more greater or powerful dan anyone.

Generally for Purana's stories references are found at different places so we can varify & know what is nearly true. Mahavidya's field is kept secretive fearing it's misuse, so ther is no other way to find out which is the correct version. Those who doesn't believe in her being a widow may follow the Markamdeya Purana version. I personally don't like this depiction of widow.
