I know a lot of people here want Dev-Meera and this sudden Mehak-look alike angle is a whole throw off and stupid. Yesterday's episode was full of drama and now suddenly we have today's episode which continues that drama, but I have a feeling there's something else to this whole thing.
Firstly the sudden appearance of Mehak's look-alike and then the way she is easily found. It seems too much of a coincidence that within the period of a few days/weeks not only does Dev see Vani, but he finds her, reaches her house, and learns of her unhappy marriage.
The OTTness of Dr. Sahay. For a man who is supposedly cunning, he's making it overtly obvious that he beats his wife, that his wife is possibly not even his wife, and that he suspects her of having an affair with Dev.
The OTTness of Vani. She's been married for 6 years and yet has no signs of domestic violence. And I don't mean just physical. Mentally she should be a wreck. She shouldn't be so easily to go about doing basic activities. And why is she giving Dev such obvious clues about her not being happy in her marriage? Shouldn't it be the opposite?
The attempts to hide the fired gun. As soon as that happened, I knew that there was a bigger plan at hand. Dr. Sahay wants to trap Dev in some type of illegal activity and as can be seen from the precap he does that by killing the ACP in Dev's car and blaming Dev for it.
The same tattoo. When they showed that tattoo from last week it reminded me of Red John (Mentalist) or the Eye (CID) or the Hand (CSI) or the Clown (Agent Raghav) and so on. It indicated a bigger game at play, maybe an old foe or a large network of illegal activities. Now the same can be seen on ACP's foot. My guess is that Dr. Sahay has it somewhere as well on his body and possibly Vani as well.
Vani is far from innocent. Like I mentioned above, she doesn't look like someone facing domestic violence. And her obvious attempts of faking that she's fine make me feel like there's something else to her. Additionally, she lets out more information than is necessary to Dev and it almost seemed forced. Not only that, but when Dev invited her and Dr. Sahay to his house, she made many moves to remind Dev of Mehak, which Dr. Sahay stopped. Again a bit too obvious in my belief.
Dev pushing Zohra Apa away from him. Dev is intuitively smart and can see things that others can't. I have a hard time believing that he is so blinded by Vani that he can't see the bigger picture behind it. Something tells me that the way he has suddenly turned on Zohra Apa means he's preparing for something big and maybe so that Zohra Apa doesn't get hurt in the process, he's pushing her away. Alternatively, both of them might be acting as if this misunderstanding has developed between them. I feel the latter is highly possible.
And of course the series is soon coming to an end. Unless the CVs plan on carrying this over to the next season, they are going to want to wrap this series up on a high note. And what better way than a plan to trap Dev, he saves himself, and we see the start of a new romance as this chapter closes.
