OSO v Saawariya!

It is being touted as the clash of Box office titans…two potential blockbusters slated for a grand Diwali release

One the creation of a celluloid artist, the other created by someone who understands the masses because she comes from them

One with newcomers ready to carry on the legacy of their famous filmi families, the other with the King Khan and an established name of the glamour world

One promises to be a tragic saga of love and romance, the other a tongue in cheek tribute to Bollywood and to its oft repeated formulas like reincarnation…

The music of both is topping the charts…

• - So who do you think will be creating Box office history, who will be sweeping all the awards in this years' awards ceremonies…

Personally I liked the music of saawariya way more than music of Om Shaanti Om..... I also like the promos of saawariya more than Om shaanti om.... i saw the gurst judges of both films on two episodes.... there also i liked the saawariya guests more than om shaanti om guests.... so right now.... if om shaanti om is good, saawariya is better for me.... 😃

I think have lost interest in movies. I still haven't watched CDI. Yet to hear Saawariya songs. Heard OSO ones on srgmp show. It is Ok. Saw the promos of both on TV. Saawariya has a mystery element to it whereas OSO clearly looks like a copy of 'Chances are' with little bit 'Karz' thrown in between.

So for fresh elements and story Saawariya scores. For lead I find Deepika extremely beautiful. But SRK's 6-pack gone awry.🤢 Waise Saawariya promos have Ranbir Kapoor in a lucent towel😉.

As for awards I guess it is going to be Saawariya again with Deepika-Sonam tie for fresh female face or may be one will win best female actor and another fresh face😆.

i already told my friend watch both movies and let me know how it is becoz i am not looking forward to either of them, in OSO for obvious reason 😆 😆 😆(qt knows) and the other one, i hope its not the modern version of devdas 🤢 🤢 🤢 but will wait and see 😃

I think SRK look old 😳 😕 🤢 but I love his acting 😃

I like the new faces...new subject...new way of story telling....I think Saawariya can make little waves in public mind... 😳 😊

Srk is looking old in OSO plus I really dont' like his new topless style , haven't heard music of other movie .. but I believe on box office OSO will score more... due to SRK factor.

Geez,that had me rolling in the aisles....

Passing over,The music of OSO is very catchy and all songs are instant hits...The music of Saawariya is more for the aficionados and connoisseurs of good music...It takes repeated listenings for the songs to grow on you,but they have a haunting quality to them...The picturisation might further popularise the songs....

Ranbir Kapoor is extremely charming and so goddamn cute..SRK looks shrivelled,scraggly and scraggy..His face is gaunt,he looks shrunken and much less impressive

I like Sonam Kapoor more than Deepika..Deepika is ravishing,but Sonam has the aura of an "actress"...Ranbir Kapoor is quite good looking..Saawariya reminds me of Bobby(albeit much more conservative,more enigmatic,more poetic)of young love,though Rishi Kapoor was a tad bit more chocolaty 😳 ...Besides,I liked the sets and the ambience of Saawariya alot..The turquoise blue sets,the cyan backdrop add to the element of mystery!!..I pray it's not a tragedy,I'd absolutely hate that!!

BTW..What does "Saawariya" actually mean...Is it the rainy season or the rain clouds or something totatty different😕??

Oooh la la... This Diwali might just re-infuse my craze in movies. After seeing some terrible movies recently (barring CDI and GMF), I can not stand anything for 3 long hours but OSO and Saawariya will hopefully be good entertainment.

If I were to predict box-office success, OSO wins hands-down. That movie is going to walk away with all the big bucks at cinema halls while Saawariya will win more critical awards. OSO is a complete commercial film, full of masala and uses formulas used by Bollywood time and again, so there are not many chances that it will go wrong. Saawariya has an arty look and will not attract the common masses much. People may watch it once for the heck of it, but OSO is the movie that an average Indian will watch again because it promises to provide total entertainment in true philmy style.😉

Shah Rukh's 6 pack body does not suit him IMO, just like all you people said. But the fact is that an average person and a DMer are way too different 😆 and those muscles have impressed young and old alike. SRK has a successful aura around him and he has way too many loyal fans who will ensure the movie's success at the box-office. Ranbir Kapoor looks immensely cute ☺️ and will capture female hearts everywhere and he does look like a very promising actor but the whole Kapoor lineage pressure may weigh him down.

Deepika Padukone has been hyped way more than Sonam Kapoor. People know Deepika more than Sonam and that might be a minus for Sonam. Deepika has already been given titles of "oh-so beautiful", "great actress", and what not! She has already had an alleged affair, so in short, she has been very publicized. As joie de vivre said, Sonam has more of an "actress" feel to her, while Deepika fits into a "heroine" role.

As far as music is concerned, I think joie de vivre said it all:

Personally, I am looking forward to Saawariya more. I prefer Sonam over Deepika and I can't compare Ranbir and SRK yet but I am definitely looking forward to seeing Ranbir more 😳. I like Saawariya's music more with its classical touch but there is no denying that OSO's music has more chart-topper traits than Saawariya's.
