What's up with everybody thinking dowry is a good thing. 😕 Well, I don't know about ya'll, but I'm against it. 😉

who said its a good thing? 😕 i am not paying a single penny for dowry on my kids 😆 😆 😆 they can go and get married themselves if they still want to marry the guy who wants dowry 🤢

Seems that it is TOO IDEALISTIC and LOSER-like to be against dowry.. 😆 😆 .. To me, it is just NORMAL, not so unrealistic / idealistic. Bragging about being corrupt also seems new flavour of CHANGING times. This is all new to me

Sorry! definately this topic not focusing on Dowry alone. I detest dowry, but when one say he/she is against dowry, does he/she act on OR raise a voice in marriages of cousin or friends when dowry is involved. Why Not?? whole point is that something cannot be helped and reality of life comes upfront, should speaking/acting morally right should be reconsidered.

Have been saying again and again its the whole norms the way society works.. sad but reality and cannot be helped. Not agreed tell me, would present scenarios....

Paying extra for quick turn around is basically what we term as PREMIUM processing, lols - nothing wrong in that unless authorities realize and work in accordance so that extra cash goes in the right place. Right place😕 😆

Until we realize that it could be helped, it never will be. You are right. The elements that take pride in bribing and getting work done by walking all over those waiting patiently for their work to get done.. are like a disease IMO. Same with people paying dowry. Until they exist, people asking for dowry will exist too.
None of my cousins paid money to be married. We did not succumb to pressure and we take pride in that. I eloped myself. There is no need to feel so helpless. Girl can make herself worthy of someone who will marry her anyway.. Parents should make their daughter independent instead of saving for her dowry. If you are a guy whose parents are asking for dowry, threaten them to Elope.
How hard is that?

As far as certain Govt and related jobs are concerned, I see your point. As I said, I was pretty upset and still am, everytime my folks describe the unnecessary hardship. I tell them to leave the country too 😆. There is so much better one can do with their time instead of wasting their time in these ridiculous lines which are never-ending because IMMORALS will bribe to get ahead of you and make your life harder by the minute and one cannot cope up with that.

👏 👏 👏 qt baar baar mera dil jeet leti ho, until there are people like you who think the same, apun ko khushi hai 😆 😆 😆 apun dono ka thinking kitna milta julta hai, thats why i said i am not paying a single penny for my kids dowry, she is better off staying spinster than succumbing to the guys demand 🤢 make your kids aware that dowry is a big disease in society 😛

@bolded part 👏 👏 👏 it is these people who encourage such type of problems and make the life of people more miserable who are waiting patiently as you said thus making them deprived

seriously! chances are he will make her life miserable anyway, and turn her into a bitter whiney person with no faith in love. Instead, she deserves to marry someone who loves her for who she is, not for what her pop is giving 😉.

and how do you suppose they will be paying the dowry? We are not complaining about poor people who cannot afford to educate / provide. We are commenting on them having enough to give as dowry, but not for education. and by dowry, we are not talking few thousands here and there.

Premium processing vs processing is just like fedex 2 days delivery vs regular 8 days.
It is like paying $ 1000 per night for a honeymoon suite as opposed to regular 250 per night!
You are getting faster service for more money from PEOPLE ALLOCATED to provide faster service.
Cutting line and putting money underhand to some guy supposed to provide service to everyone in line - is denying right to others asking for similar processing. No comparison there.
