Dear Friends!

How are you all?

Hope you all are enjoying your weekend well!

You might have seen the promos of Cheeni Kum these days!

Its a film about a 34 year lady and 64 year Gentleman! Both fall in love and decide to marry! The father of that 34 year lady is of 58 years ,younger than his son- in-law to be!!!

Nishabdh was a similar movie but many voices were raised against such concept!

My thoughts are :

Don't you think Cheeni Kum and Nishabdh are of same varitety! If Nishabdh is not about Love but desires ,cheeni kum is also of that type ! Any love for partner is same, can there be different varities and different goals in it!
  1. Nishabdh is about the love of a elder person and teenage girl. There we see lust more than love:

5. In Cheeni Kum we find some serinity in the Love:

Your thoughts on these!!!!

Wishes,

Mythili

There is love between a girl and boy in almost all movies but we can't put all of them in same genre. Cheeni kum is a romantic film where the only major difference is the age gap between the leads whereas Nishabd is a dark film where a family man suddenly develops feelings for someone who is his daughter's friend which has to do more with lust than love. I agree that lust comes with love but love doesn't always come with lust. I would put Cheeni kum as a light comedy yet a mature and sensible treatment whereas Nishabd is Lolita and Poison Ivy rolled into one.

2. Any love for partner is same, can there be different varities and different goals in it!

Hmm..different varieties? Some times there is only lust (Nishabd). Sometimes there is adoration (Meerabai to Lord Krishna). Feelings differ from person to person. Circumstances make a lot of difference.

I think that cheeni kum would be more believable since she's not some 19 year old. nishabd was just really bad and a bad move by amitabh to even do the movie.

Nope..!!! Cheeni kum is a love story between 2 adults... especially when both of them are over 30 and hopefully experienced in relationships...!!!!! because by that age maturity sets in and one doesn't get infatuated as easily as in teens or twenties or first timers..😛

Not sure what you mean Myth...If you mean love with lust ...then yes lust is always there where there is attraction between opp sexes..(i am keeping it basic here without incl same genders)... We are wired to be attracted sexually to people we love romantically and age has nothing to do with it when mature adults gravitate towards each other.

See Myth it is like this , for friendship some people get along with friends their own age or sometimes much older in age.. It is how we connect with the other person mentally and emotionally.. Physically then it is the same principle , and age does not matter.

I am looking forward to Cheeni kum, Tabu is beautiful and looks good with AB... They seem experienced in life and from what I saw on tv , they have fun together too. they just happen to fall in love too....😛

I think that the main difference between Nishabd and Cheeni Kum is the treatment of the subject. Nishabd was a very serious movie with dark shades of regret and remorse on Amitabh's part for having loved Jiah when he was already married, but Cheeni Kum is a very light comedy. You tend to take Nishabd more seriously which is why I think more objections were raised about it than Cheeni Kum. And also there is the maturity factor, Tabu seems to be experienced and mature while Jiah was young and immature. Personally I think that people are going to like Cheeni Kum better than Nishabd just because of the way the director handled it.

Why cant Amitabh just accept the fact that he'z old now
and he has to cum in the roles of fathers or grandparents?
😆

Havent seen Nishabd and Ck yet to be released so hard to say

I think the comparisons are bound to happen coz they are releasing so close to each other..

But treating such a subject in a light hearted manner is likely to go down better with the audiences!
