No south indian? What a shame!

It looks like they didn't even go and audition in south india this time.

This can happen only india, where they completely ignore half the country, go out, that too to bring in some non-indians, yes, the pakistanis.

Its another matter if the participants are of indian origin. But how can they not conduct auditions in south india and go to pakistan to get singers to sing in an indian competion!!!!

yes really a shame!! But what to do ?? ZEE SRGMP C2007 creative group have used their kidney power..(Not brain) so giving more chance for Pakistanis, 😕

I agree with u .. I was lookign forward to my.. daily doses of South Indian Singer.. No offense to Anyone but they are the BEST in Singing.. i really was hoping there would be someone like Hemachandra or Karunya..... 😔

On one side I am extremely disappointed with Zee creatives for not going to the southern part of India and instead choosing Non Indians. It is a dishonor.

On another side which is actually from Zee's TRP point of view and also based on the popularity of local channels. The regional channels are widely watched in this part so the TRPs are always low for Hindi channels whereas Pakistan watches more Indian television than their own. There are also these types of singing contests in all the regional channels so most prefer to go for that.

I still don't think it is justified to ignore such a major part of India and going out of the country for talent search. Also selection based on zones was itself a cheap tactic. I wish we could voice our disagreement through a proper channel.

Will miss south indian singers..It is indeed a shame..

But the fact is most of the south Indians don't watch Hindi programmes (except may be in karnataka ) so who ever interested in participating in the contests will travel to Mumbai or nearer location for the audition...

It is all about TRP n Money they get from SMS votes

Yes - Agree - dont know why they didnot come to south for auditions.. Even Indian Idol had conducted its audition in Hyderabad and took them to Bhopal for selection.. Zee had to conduct one..

There are lot of talent hunts in south also.. Each state conducting its own talent shows - In Tamil Nadu each channel has its separate talent hunts just like that in Hindi channels.. Happy for That and must say they produce some great talents and people are getting chance to sing in movies also.. So, there is lot of talents hidden in south as well which has to be known at international level..

I dont know how they can justify this.. Kuddos to II atleast that they took a step to find someone from the city of Karunya.. I think Zee forgot about Hemu coming from south..

Kavithadi - yes i agree but there are many people whom i know watch a lot of hindi programs.. In my city there are many north Indians who watch programs like srgmp, sometimes we also hv discussions in school and colleges regarding these shows.. They should have atleast considered auditioning here.. there are.totally .4 gharanas.. They could have done it like II, where few contestants from the major cities are selected and took them for auditions to various places..

Zee for sure should have gone to the south to get the good singers... They forgot the talented Hemachandra so easily... 😕

For the same reason, I am upset with Gajji as well - Star VOI has auditioned in Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Lucknow, Indore and Jaipur.. Couldnt they have done one at Hyderabad/Bangalore as well.. Atleast these 2 cities are fairly cosmopolitan in nature!
