Hi Debators,
We in the development team have noticed that recently there has been an increase in the number of posts slandering certain religions, nations, and people who practice those religions or live in those nations.
We created the debate mansion in order to allow you to debate pretty much any issue and we encourage healthy debates as long as they are within the limits of morality and mutual repect for our fellow human beings.
However, some of the debates as of late are not coming embodying this at all and are not what we would characterize as "debatable topics" Whether a certain country should be bombed, whether Americans are stupid, whether muslims are terrorists...these are all HORRIBLE assumptions and frankly, a sign of ignorance.
We expect better from our members, especially given the fact that we are a global community. We can understand if this was a forum limited to a certain nation, religius group, region, then there could be some signs of intolerance, but why here? Why when I-F is truly a global community, with members spanning the globe?
Therefore, in order to get this section back on track, we are instituting a few simple rules. This is all common sense and very easy to follow. If you do not abide by these rules then we are sorry, but it can lead to an increase in warning level or worse, a permanent ban, depending on the severity.
- Topics slandering a religion will not be allowed (example "which religion is better?" )
-Topics which encourage false stereotypes will not be welcomed (i.e. "why are all Americans dumb?" "Are Muslims terrorists?")
- Topics which slander a country or ethnicity will not be tolerated.
Javs( ) has already posted a sticky regarding religious topics and you can view that here:

Also, please do review the I-F code of conduct:
https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/moderators/4420/important-india-forums-code-of-conduct
We request that you please not send us PMs asking "Is this ok as a topic?" Honestly, it is common sense, and if it doesn't feel good inside, it's most likely not a good topic. Think to yourself "will my fellow member get offended?" If the answer is yes, then don't post it.
Thanks for your cooperation in this matter and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact one of the Debate Mansion mods, CMs or any of the Global Mods and we'll be happy to help you. If you need reminding of who the mods are, then please do visit this link:
Happy Debating,
I-F development group
