while we are still polling Namo versus Rahul Gandhi, AAP in india is causing quite a stir after forming govt in Delhi.
Was watching this debate, which shows almost 70% of the country is already supporting AAP for Central Govt elections as well
What do people think are AK's chances to become next PM 😊

The AAP could be a good alternative but too early to say anything. They need to first prove their credentials with their performance in Delhi. People have pinned too much hopes on them and are expecting too much too soon. There has been an overwhelming response from new aspirants to the party. The AAP needs to be very careful in screening and selecting of their candidates. Members like Kumar Vishwas would do well to speak less and work more. I d like the party to have a successful tenure in the capital.

This from Bachi karkaria denotes the mood in Delhi right now 😆
Rudolph The Red-nosed Reindeer
Kejri, the meek aam admi
Had a very shiny pose,
And if you ever saw it,
You would even say it glows.

All the other parties
Used to scoff and call him names.
They never let poor Kejri
Join in any voting games.

Then one foggy polling day
Delhi came to say,
'Kejri. with your promise bright,
Won't you guide our state tonight?'

Then how the red-faced praised him
As they cried with nervous glee,
'Kejri, the brave aam admi,
You'll go down in his-to-ry.'

all rubbish that aap is taking the nation.

you have to be a real fool to support these bloody socialists! this survey is crap as well. even indira gandhi couldnt get 45% vote share, where is 70% of the nation supporting them?

already aap's popularity has been reduced by half after joining hands with the congress. congress leaders are infact saying they can tie up with aap for general elections.

they wont get more than 3 seats, and will help bjp win.

aap steals congress votes rather than the bjp's bjp's vote share went down by 3, and congress by 15% and as per LS consituencies bjp would have won 5 out of 7 seats on assembly issues. but for ls bjp would have won all 7 elhi seats in general elections.

aap might grow and become a national party by 2013. but now that aap will help divide socialist pseudo secular votes of the congress, bjp is winning 230 seats this year.

win or lose if the other national parties clean up their act due to the Kejri factor, the AAP's jhadoo would have achieved its objective of cleaning the current political cesspool to some extent 😆

According to me they have no say in the national issues, they should just stick to corruption... they themselves have amongst the party membershave contradicting views. national issues cannot be handled with such a party...they'll mess it up.
no offence to AAP...I like AAP more than any but they are not meant for national issues.

Too early for AAP to be a serious alternative , they need good 10 years of governance and existence to make such claim . Otherwise they will meet the fate of VP Singh. But they can play the role of spoilsports for some regional parties like SP, BSP etc. If they get 30 odd seats, they will factor a lot.

I see Modi as the front-runner by far, its just the number which he is running after. Congress made it so easy for him and fielding Rahul will be a self goal.

And for those who are heckling about AAP's national policies - I say , they are trolling. This party is too new and too inexperienced to actually come out with a solid plan. They are at a stage where they are advertising and canvasing for good party members. Hence the odd irrelevant statements. As far as economics is concerned I won't chart them soon , they have a govt in Delhi whose main revenue is only tax and the state powers are too curtailed. With all these big industrialists and management people leaving their career and joining AAP's thinktank, their economic policies will go for an evolution.

For Delhi I say - give the man few months before we chart out surveys , stings to measure his capability. Too soon for anything.

@Bold - Agree they do need to stop these ex-members of other parties joining them. I like Yogendra Yadav and Athiti speaking , both are so eloquent and well-spoken. That Kumar guy annoys me, he needs to stop attending these tv debates.

True. Muslim votes, especially would get divided.. Jat votes would go to BJP fully, Dalits divided between BSP, Cong and now maybe even AAP. Overall gainer=BJP. Funnily, Cong thinks jumping on the AAP bandwagon will clear their image a bit and act as a buffer against BJP, when its backfiring on them in reality. 😆

On AAP, I support them as of now, but their welfare schemes look like they would fizzle out in the long run. As I'd said before as well, they should cut down on the anti-corruption unilateral agenda and not engage in foolish populism anywhere. The free water scheme (20ML per month) is a diaster for large slum families who'd have to pay for all the water.

Very true. The AAP should take their time instead of giving in to the mounting public pressure. I don't see the AAP win a majority in the coming elections but then it did not stop them from forming the govt in Delhi. I got the feeling that it was almost thrust on them. They would have been more comfortable in the opposition. all the same its good to see them rise to the challenge. The BJP has cause to worry. The number game is set to be upset.

Yes, they need to be careful about their populist moves, though its understandable under present circumstances. They were under a scanner for their pre election promises and with the little time they had before proving their strength in the floor of the house it was a necessity.

Would he really take up his dare of contesting from Amethi! 😆
