Silent reader viewpoint on DID

Hi all,

this is just my views regarding whole DID 2 and 3,really dont want to hurt anyones feeling

1) DID2 contestants were much better than DID3-
this is wat i felt after watching whole auditions, last time the judges had a tough time in selecting 3 from 6 people in final audition,

1. Jack- a gud dancer had to remain as standby,
2. amrita(not tat gud but really better than did 3 contestants),
3. Melvin-gud dancer,even i would have preferred ameeth over melvin coz i think ameeth is versatile and supported terrence decision then also,and ameeth proved it in wildcard round he matched up to jack in hip hop,and melvin couldnt carry off new style in wildcard.But still Melvin is really a gud dancer 100 times better than DID3.

2)Neerav's standby - i too felt he wasnt that impressive to be a standy by ,eventhough i liked him in jdj. he wasnt that good in audition..i saw lot of post regarding neerav training shakthi and all, but i am sorry i cant agree with it because,in an interview terrence clearly said that Neerav assisted him in concepts,sync,theme etc and not in training ,he had other assistants for it.even after watching his moves it is pretty clear that he needs training,see other contestants (studentsof terrence ) audition performance, they were clear,good transitions,expressions etc-Shakthi,Punit,Mayuresh,Mohena,

3)Urvashi-i really didnt understand why she was selected,even i cud find out that she was not stable ,she couldnt maintain the postures and was shaking,ya but she is light on foot

4) sanchita out??- i am a trained classical dancer (still learning ,this is my 6th year) she may not be excellent but she was better than piyali, her expressions,choreo was good

5)Raghav out?? he may not be a versatile dancer but he is really gud in what he does,he deserved atleast to be a stand by

Last year lot of people bashed geetha for choosing dharmesh wen it was very clear that he wanted to be in RKR

I really felt bad for dharmesh but geetha was not wrong ,it is not only the contestants who are competing it is a competition among mentors also, even terrence or remo would have done the same,they might have picked the strong dancer .geetha also did the same only so why bashing her,she is here to win only,they are not doing charity right??

This time i felt bad for hardik,but felt geetha is wrong i didnt understand why she picked shafir over hardik. i cant say one is better than other ,actually i felt hardik was better in mega audition,may be shafir did better in choreography round where they had to perform all the masters style.
if that the reason then ok for me,hardik wil also understand it,otherwise she was just playing with his emotions, any way Remo is a gud choreographer than gita so its perfect

I liked remo's gesture when gita chose shafir over hardik, and i loved it whn remo picked hardik immediately not letting him breakdown even for a second

i always wanted to give my opinion about shakthi and dharmesh performance from last season

Dharmesh--very good in his style and he is unique no one can beat him in his style,i guess not even remo

Shakthi--very good in her style and she is unique no one can beat this girl in her style,her flexibilty is something that no one can match up

Dressing style--
i really didnt understand why everyone abused shakthi for her outfits and dharmesh for his choreography

shakthi had to wear short cloths coz her dancing style demands it, she wore churidhar for kathak,jackets for hip hop and choli lacha model for indian contemporary.
the dressing is also a part of there dance so it is wrong to bash someone for their dressing
did ny1 see dharmesh sir wearing shorts for hip hop no na coz his performance demanded jackets,and stylish full length pants

Dharmesh sir always showcased beautiful choreo for hip hop and below avg choreo for other styles we all knw the reasons then yy bashing him,he did exactly wat he has asked to.
I am from kerala and i started laughing wen he did theyyam,it has nothing to do with orginal theyyam,it is a temple dance at kannur(part of kerala) where the dancer is looked upon as God wen he dances,bcoz he is dancing in a state of trans,even after the dance evy1 goes beside him and asks for blessings,sometime the dancer predicts our future also,it is believed that the god in him is speaking.it was a total injustice to dharmesh to do that style,when he doesnt even know wat he is doing,they made a complete mockery of it. Shakthi winning controversies-- it is obvious that she received votes of amar fans also,and i believe it wasnit fixed , and i believe she is a versatile dancer, excellent in contemporary but she also did justice to other dancing styles-- she won best performance award for hip hop(along with jack),Kathak(single dance),wow from remo for popping and whacking-all were not her style but she did it well,where as dharmesh sir always received negative comments from other mentors for all the new styles he tried.so for me shakthi was more versatile than dharmesh and this was the right decision

Who ever the winner is the talented people will keep getting chances
see dharmesh,shakthi,amar,salman,jai,mayuresh,vrushali,bhavna,prince,siddhesh,kruti,punit,alisha.
they all gained a lot from DID

1)Pradeep-versatile
2)Varun-Gud Postures,control
3)Mohena-versatile
4)kalai-well trained
5)sneha kapoor --body control,experience
6)urvashi-looks,light footed
7)chotuu-ability to learn fast
8)hardik-hardworking and focused
9)manju-passionate dancer
10)lipsa-energy,well trained
11)sneha gupta-energy,passion
12)sanam-technique,flexibility
13)Vaibhav-good performer and crisp

about judges

i want to make clear that i like all the masters,

like terrence more for his personality-helping mentality,showing empathy for students,connection with students,technical knowledge,choreography but hates his over sweetness

Remo for being grounded, speaking right on face, dare devil attitude,choreography but.hates wen he accepts other mentors view with a bit of sarcasm

Gita-like her for her emotional connection with her students,hates it wen she simply supports her contestants even when she knew that hey were wrong

mithun da--for his words of encouragement,the way he pull legs of mentors,poems
hates it wen he take emotional judgments ,let the performance speak,not the emotions

saumya- i like her the way she is,

jai-he was ok but mithun da mad him look worse,now i dont enjoy this ghasana anymore, but he is a gud anchor cute ,pleasant and sportive

i didn't find any one as talented as shakthi,kruti,nikittasha,punit,amar,jack,parvez,shashank,dharmesh-no versatile dancers except pradeep and mohena

I agree, I am rooting for Pradeep this season. Other contestants pale in comparison after watching him.

u cannot be serious!!!! hers is the finest manipuri i have seen in ages , not to mention right from the first performance she did in wildcard round, mentors , none of them ever had a word against her( sometimes against choreography) till the last day she got eliminated. And i think geeta was so stupid to choose shruti, and tina and even binny over her, and she calls herself classical expert.Anywho i am an amrita fan and so might sound a little over enthused.

what style do u train in? I trained in manipuri and bharatnatyam

this yr just began, havent watchd audition epis past mumbai, but let's see. is there any good classical dancer this time?

I wish this time masters branch out a little from showing the basic of contemporary and hip hop and freestyle

I like Amrita too. Her positive attitude was to be admired. Her participation in DID Lil Champs was a big proof that she was a deserving candidate of DID title.

I am sorry Tannistha if i had hurt you ,wat i said that was just my opinion.
ya but i do agree she was better than tina,shruthy and binny, (shruthi and binny was good looking,tina was gitas assistant that can be reason for not choosing amrita)but in comparison to other standby i mentioned Jack and melvin for me she was weak,i never said she is weaker than any other contestant,i mentioned her bcoz i felt she was good,ther were other standbys about whom i didnt even mention. hope its clear
For me Amrita's plus points were-PASSION,training in classical dance,energy,attitude
minus was i didnt like her loud expressions in some acts,eg lavani=it needs loud expressions but it was too loud for me,problems in lifts-her performance in super 6 along with dharmesh in blue dress

I am trained in Mohiniyattam(started 6 yrs back),Kerala Natanam and bharathanatyam(started 2 yrs bck), i dont knw anything about manipuri that can be the reason i cudnt connect with amritha

Only one piyali performed classical dance(a bit of kathak with drama) and got selected-for me she was not even average,they eliminated sanchita a girl who performed clasical dance well.
Lipsa other student is trained in classical,and mohena in kathak,dont remember any others

I really dont knw y 80%of people preferred contemporary,even classical dancers attempetd hip hop or contemporary

She's graceful and light on her feet..it's beautiful when you see a tall girl(she is pretty tall) dance gracefully. But yes, she wasnt STABLE..she needs to be more "flowy" lol..hope that made sense. 😆 I guess she just needs to practice and train to be more "stable", otherwise, she's PERFECT..imho. I dont understand why everyone feels she shouldnt have been selected, like who else would you want to see in her place over the rest of the female dancers???

4) sanchita out??- i am a trained classical dancer (still learning ,this is my 6th year) she may not be excellent but she was better than piyali, her expressions,choreo was good. AGREED! Wish she was chosen over Piyali or that girl who had the SAME smile throughout the performance Really disappointed how she was ousted.. :(

5)Raghav out?? he may not be a versatile dancer but he is really gud in what he does,he deserved atleast to be a stand by.. Agree with the bold. Although he has his unique style and is excellent in what he does...somehow, it didnt seem to me that he would be versatile. And, also, I didnt see MUCH dance in his performance..all he did was his dubstep moves, dance moves from his style..he shudda danced more, showed his versatility . He was amazing in whatever he did though..
