Suhanasafar, one main issue we have to deal with is the general mood of the members. Many of the active members here are upset with the way CID is going and are choosing to stay away from the show and IF because of that. I think we need to wait for sometime till the mood is back to normal. Will take some time...and during this period, the forum is bound to be less active. Please give us some time.

1) Stickies: I always thought there were too many stickies as well, which is why there was one week when I only stickied Prabha's thread, the one that has links to all the video/written/picture/etc updates. I figured that members would be able to access everything from that thread, but I guess I jumped the gun. It IS important for the video and written updaters to have their individual posts as stickies. I didn't realize this before, but I understand now. So if I have this right, we will now have video and written updates as stickies for three days each (Sun-Tues)? What about games,MOTW, DOTW and Prabha's episode threads? Will they be stickies as well? Or is that too many? I definitely think that games should be stickies, especially if we will be having only one or two of them per month.

Rabia I suggested to have Prabha's discussion a sticky just after we remove the written+video updates. That way we can give both the topics the same attention. As per the MOTW/GOTW/DOTW, I have asked the organizers to go for forward on the basis of the current participation rate. For now we are just alternating among these 3 as members seem to enjoy the competitions like essay writing/ffs etc.

2) MOTW: Great idea to choose based on Hall of Fame instead of votes, but I think there should be some rules in place to make sure that the same person doesn't win every week. It's great if someone is very active week after week, and they should be rewarded for that...but others should get a chance too. What do you guys think?
Well whoever is organizing the MOTW must make sure that a member doesn't get to sit on the hot seat more than twice. As we have fewer active members so chances of repetition of MOTW is unavoidable. Just so others are not deprived, how about we pick the top 5/top 3 members from Hall Of Fame to avoid repetition ?

3) Current Happenings: If Prabha doesn't think she can include the current happenings of the section in her discussion threads, then she should just do the episode threads. Those are a lot of work in themselves. If we all agree that we do want a current happenings thread (or maybe just an additional post in Prabha's threads), then I can volunteer to take care of that. I know that I have been inactive lately, but if I have a weekly duty, I will be responsible about it.

Thanks for appreciating the idea Idea and also for taking care of it. I really want the Current Happenings Thread for our section. This will be a major attraction for members who usually skim through the first page only. Should we have this in every 3 weeks? Just so we have enough highlights for the thread..

I think its a fab idea. How about you start with a sign up sheet so you have a fair idea about how many people are really interested in this Contest and how many are willing to contribute till the end?
