I have heard a lot abt Buniyaad, Hum Log and Nukkar... Buniyaad has been my mom's favourite in those days... she always loved Afsha khan from that serial. and last year when that lady came to Kolkata (she is a designer now) , and my mom suddenly saw her she was so happy..I didnt who she was but still she made me take a picture with her! i got so confused!😆 the lady is very sweet...i loved chatting with her and her daughter for arnd half n hour!!😃

@Shagnika It's not just about Adi Sir's negative role. It's about what Bandit Queen faced. As a woman it affects you more than anything else. She saw worse than hell here on earth, you feel ashamed of being a human being. So many like me could not even see the dramatized version and that lady actually lived through all that and ultimatly being shot for someone's political gains. I respect her that she decided to live on; it would have been easier to die. I hope God gives her a much much better life the next time.

i completely agree di! i have heard abt the movie....matter abt Adi Sir is different isuue...thats not just resctricted to Bandit Queen.

Nukkad - yeah...I remember bits and pieces...I was too young, but remember one episode where Pavan Malhotra rode a cycle for 5 days and nights. That's where he made his first impression on me. 😊 It came during some re-runs in the 90s on DD2 I think, that's when it registered in my mind.

Buniyaad - actually don't remember seeing the serial. i only remember my parents rushing to finish dinner to watch it. It brought a lot of fame to Alok Nath...was it his first appearance?

Hum log - Yes....it came in DD2 re-runs in 1995-96. That's when I saw it.

Choti Badi Baatein....no, sorry.

i remember my parents watching nukkad and buniyaad without missing even a single episode and i used to watch hum log with my granny when it was re-aired during 1995 understanding bits and pieces

Does anyone think he looks 30years old in this? Aditya Srivastav's wikipedia page says that he is 1963-born.😕

As per that, he has to be 30 + during Bandit Queen. I don't believe it at all. He looks max 22-24 here.

I wonder who has put that info on wikipedia.

Yeh Chhoti Badi Baatein, was a serial on superstitions. It had the husband-wife duo Sulabha Deshpande and Arvind Deshpande, Babloo Mukerjee, Maya Alag and Ashok Saraf. Sulabha Deshpande is shown as superstitious and the whole family tries to prove her wrong. Ashok Sarf her nebour would take the lead in trying to prove her wrong and the way they go about it was hilarious. The last episode was amazing, in that one they go behind the camera, and show the working on the sets. Everyone is playing themselves, this was not real but dramatized. In that they show that out of all people only Sulabha Deshpande is not superstitious and the guy who is always making fun of her superstitions in the serial, Ashok Saraf is the biggest superstitious person of them all. I hope you know what I mean. It was an amazing comic series. I think it was aired in 1986-87. I wish I could see it again.
