Yeh Chhoti Badi Baatein, was a serial on superstitions. It had the husband-wife duo Sulabha Deshpande and Arvind Deshpande, Babloo Mukerjee, Maya Alag and Ashok Saraf. Sulabha Deshpande is shown as superstitious and the whole family tries to prove her wrong. Ashok Sarf her nebour would take the lead in trying to prove her wrong and the way they go about it was hilarious. The last episode was amazing, in that one they go behind the camera, and show the working on the sets. Everyone is playing themselves, this was not real but dramatized. In that they show that out of all people only Sulabha Deshpande is not superstitious and the guy who is always making fun of her superstitions in the serial, Ashok Saraf is the biggest superstitious person of them all. I hope you know what I mean. It was an amazing comic series. I think it was aired in 1986-87. I wish I could see it again.

No...unable to recollect. But look at the list of actors. All of them were so good. Not like Hrishikesh or Sunaina. I remember some serials which used to come on Saturday afternoons, because I had 1/2 day school on Saturdays and could watch TV without my dad's complaints. There was one serial with Annu Kapoor and Harish Patel(I think). Annu Kapoor was the servant. That serial also had Neelima Azeem (Shahid Kapoor's mom). She used to ill-treat Annu Kapoor all the time.

Nukkad - yeah...I remember bits and pieces...I was too young, but remember one episode where Pavan Malhotra rode a cycle for 5 days and nights. That's where he made his first impression on me. 😊 It came during some re-runs in the 90s on DD2 I think, that's when it registered in my mind.

I remember that episode very well. Life used to be so much simpler then.

I know about Appu Aur Pappu and Hum Panchi Ek Daal Ke but I am not able to recollect anything now. The names are so familiar; can you tell me what these shows were about?

Appu aur pappu was something about a boy and his pet elephant. I was too young to remember the details of each episode. .I only remember the name of the serial and the elephant.
