Hi friends...was on vacation for a few days. Back now. 😊

I was watching the 'Shruti' episodes yesterday evening. There were 2 scenes - one in a bar with Daya and Abhijeet waiting for Viren and the other one where Viren and Shruti leaving Abhijeet's house.

Daya told Abhijeet that he was always there for him, but I felt that Daya's reaction to a heartbroken Abhijeet was somewhat awkward. In the bar, he tried telling him that love and romance are not for CID officers, at which Abhijeet looked even more hurt. He also said, 'chalo accha hua, tumne aage koi kadam nahin badhaya' etc which I felt was a bit 'cold'...and then all of a sudden Daya just walked out of the house.

I couldn't find any explanation to it...there was some awkwardness, like- Daya found it odd to remain in Abhijeet's company when he was in that mood or something like that.

I personally would have been angry and hurt if any of my friends had spoken to me like that and walked off. But maybe that's what they mean when they say 'men are from Mars and women are from Venus'. I could be wrong, what do you all think?

hmmm I did not feel anything was Awkward, in fact I just saw how deep their friendship was. After his confrontation with Shruti where he tells her that he saw Viren when goes back to work and reaches the spot. Daya Sir looks at him and immediately asks if he is ok. Even in the bar scene he consoles him. He asks if he is over with it, Abhi Sir says yes. But Daya Sir realizes he is not, he asks him if he still loves Shruti. It just tells you that looking at each other's faces they know how the other is feeling. As you said how a guy would console a friend will be different from how a girl would. Also from the direction point of view, they had to close this side story in this episode. The shot where Abhi Sir throws the ring had to be a lonely moment, can't be with people around; not even Daya Sir. That last lonely shot ended the story on the perfect note.

You mentioned that you have the videos...do put them up when you are free...I'll take a second look at it.

Sure, I have edited out the Shruti Story that came across 4 episodes. Its about half hour long. I will upload that.

You are right, but I still feel that the one instance where Daya says 'good that you didn't proceed', was a bit blunt. If I were in Daya's position, I would probably have not mentioned it at that particular moment. I would have asked 'are you ok' etc.

I feel the bigger relief was that Abhi Sir hadn't gone ahead. He was heart broken that was given but had he told her the situation would have been awkward for one and all when Viren came back, may be even more embarrassing for Abhi Sir. Maybe that why Daya Sir said it, after all that was the only positive that came out of that situation.

Daya was definitely rude to abhijeet. It wasnt fair on daya's part to say like that. When a person is upset its better to walk off quietly if you dont know how to console him/her. Daya hardly understood Abhijeet's state of mind. I never expected this from daya who loves his colleagues so dearly

Well, he wasn't exactly rude, I felt he was a bit 'tactless'.

He understood that Abhijeet was in a sad mood, instead of lightening up his spirits, he just felt it better to leave him alone and walked off.

If I were in a similar situation, I wouln't walk out on my friend at that moment. Maybe I am thinking from a woman's point of view.
