Friends, here is my next VM. Actually I was making VM on Misti's suggested song, but then found this one from the same movie and it fit Dev so much that I ended up making this one first. So this VM is titled "Dev's journey" and uses "jo tumko ho pasand" from the movie "Safar". This is one of my favorite songs from that movie and it really suits Dev.

Misti, this VM is for you. It is using the song "Hum the jinke sahare" from the movie "Safar". I have called it "Radhika's Despair". I found this one difficult to make because there were some lines that stumped me somewhat. Initially I wanted to make it both from Dev and Radhika's perspective even though the voice is only of female's. But then once I saw your list of songs for Dev, I decided to make it only from Radhika's point of view. So here is my interpretation of lyrics.

Angie beautiful video, i really feel angry as i am watching your videos , with the concerned people ..i really pity them for their personal gains they killed a good show which has potential to become emotionally charged drama ..Thank you Angie for highlighting the best scenes with Dev Radhika,s chemistry ...I am really surprised how you are bringing the small scenes , packed with emotions ...Angie ,there are two songs from Mamta , chhupa lo yoon dil mein pyar mera ...its just 2minuted song and another is rahen na rahen hum ...i know ,should not be telling you , you yourself have good choice ..

Moving my response to Chalhov's post (pg 1) here as I am going to create an index on page 2. Thanks Chalhov for letting me do that.

Thanks Angie loved reading

I like the Mandir scene where Dev and Radhika stay while returning from Pag Pheres so that PF does not know about the Mansa family and how they treat Radhika and Dev saves her as Rohan wants to drown her and tells her for the 1st time that he loves her.
The way he brings and shares food gives her blanket to cover herself and finally saves her panicking that she has fainted and something happened to her.😃 so I like the entire pagphere track starting from their travel Pakora scene Mansa house scenes and then the grand rescue of Radhika by dev only unnatural thing is a girl who has been brought up near the ghats of Ganga/Yamuna should know swimming

There are lot more but will write about them later.

That whole sequence of Dev and Radhika leaving PB to Dev finally acknowledging his love for Radhika in front of her was really good. So in fact they showed Dev's behavior pattern that was repeated during Barkha track. But since Barkha became the lead in that track, Dev's thought process was never shown.
Since Radhika was the one running after Dev and he was feeling guilty because of his misguided obligations, he tried to transfer his guilt on Radhika and hence was mentally abusing her. So despite knowing that it was Rohan who caused the accident and Radhika could have died in that accident and that she was an innocent girl from a poor low class family who was forced to marry somebody against her will, he chose to blame her and decided to think of her as selfish because it made him feel guilt free about his behavior towards Radhika. Also he was influenced by Padma's grief and her abusive/manipulative personality. So he too endorsed her abuse of Radhika.
But once he went too far (physically and emotionally hurting her by pushing her roughly out of Dada's room) and had a chance to be away from Padma's influence & Rohan's deviousness, he began to act more normal and his deliberate blindness started going away. In that one day, he had a chance to be alone with Radhika the second time after that college day. There he was just enchanted by her and hence had no thoughts beyond running after her. Here he was away from negative influence of his family and could think clearly. So he started to see her selflessness which was evident even at his house (afterall Radhika tolerated his and Padma's abuse without any complaints) but which he didn't want to acknowledge. Here he was forced to do so when he saw her at the temple.
Then when he went to her house and realized that marriage to KK was Mansa's dream and Mansa was under the illusion that Rohan was KK. So he realized that he had trampled a father's dreams in order to pay his debts and was in fact himself deceiving Mansa when he forbade Radhika to talk about the identity of KK. Then on top of that, he saw how Radhika protected her father's feelings and also the prestige of her parents' house at her own expense. So all his preconceived ideas that were his own creation melted away. Then almost losing Radhika sort of set him free in the sense that he started liking the fact that Radhika was living at his house. Of course he was in his dreamworld where things were going to remain the same or Rohan would have got cured. So that's why he was jolted so badly when Rohan planned that second wedding and he once again felt obligated to let Radhika go for family's sake.
In fact, it was a good explanation of Dev's typical behavior that creatives never bothered to link between two tracks. During Barkha track too, he behaved same by blaming Radhika despite all evidence to the contrary because it was convenient for him to do so. There too he only got out of that behavior pattern when Radhika/Kanha came. Radhika/Kanha showed an indifference to him that got him out of Padma's influence once again. So Dev continues to behave in the same pattern because Radhika enables his behavior.
It is too bad that this aspect was never addressed in the show and full realization of Dev was never shown. Instead it all was explained in one line that Dev did everything as he was trying to save dharam being a dharam-rakshak. That of course did not fly with most viewers and hence there is a mess that we continue to see.
In any case, this was a good track where the focus was on Dev and Radhika's relationship where Dev went from infatuation with Radhika to really knowing her and loving her in a genuine soulmate way. Also this track showed this beautiful relationship between Radhika and Mansa as well Radhika's equation with rest of the family that became evident to Dev. So Dev got to know that he and Radhika also had lot of similarities in their background where half of Radhika's adopted family did not care for her happiness but just wanted to use her.

Neerja, this VM is for you. I have titled it "Dev's Dreamworld" and is picturized on "tere khayalon mein hum" from the movie "Geet gaya patharon ne".
