Wasn't calling Sanaya "Ess Eye" degrading??

And calling Barun Sobti as "Soap-tea" or Saboon is a surge of affection,to put it in a better way??!!

Pot kettle,black much??!!

It sure takes a lot of guts to come down to a forum where 95% of the people love the show and give an honest analysis whether it appeals to their liking or not and I appreciate you for that.

I agree with your analysis.

The show promised a lot when it started and being a Sanaya Irani fan, I was super excited because she is one of the best on TV today.

so coming from that excitement, the show has been a super let down.

There is no story at all, there is nothing new, these concepts and tracks have been tried and tested so many times already.

what the makers promised to be innovative and what they are delivering doesnt match at all.

Like you said, being a dog trainer by profession or having a family where each one of them has a unique career interest, well thats common in most families today, yet coming from such a family ChhanChhan is made to look submissive and regressive.

A simple example is the fact that the ladies in her Sasural cant eat while thje gents eat and ChhanChhan has no issues with that, I can understand respect traditions but I would never tolerate someone undermining my own self respect in the name of traditions and cultures.

as of now, the story is very much predictable, and I watch it just so that I can see Sanaya, thats all that holds me to the show, remaining elements and storylines, its something thats easily predictable.

as for the chemistry between the leads, Sanaya is supremely talented, I havent seen Anuj in his previous shows but seeing him here, he is doing what is required of Manav, and as of now Manav doesnt have nothing much to do other than being a standby husband who despite being educated like ChhanChhan is unbelievably oblivious to his mother's nature and actions.

Manav is right now a Mama's boy who loves his wife dearly. I undersyand the need to show romance between newly weds but along with romance which is part and parcel of all Indian shows, the CVs need to being in a solid track, situations like HM being planned, then getting cancelled and then Umaben upto her evil schemes, these are not what you call tracks, its just situations that lead to nowhere.

Make an impact, give out a strong message, this is what the makers had promised when they were promoting this show, thats its the story about a girl who is modern and deeply rooted in her culture and that she will bring a change in her sasural.

till now whatever changes CC has made, like getting rid of Sarees and wearing Salwars etc etc , its only been for herself and not for all ladies, whatever happened to all family members being equal ?? I dont understand what the CVs are trying to convey, that Umaben's games do win partially, coz CC seems to be getting her way but the remaining ladies are still under the wings of their Saas.

so in a nutshell, the script is seriously not upto the mark.

I can see the fury of the fans of CC on this post, I hope they understand that the post isnt against the actors but against the content of the show which is being grossly over rated by its fans simply coz they love the actors.

try imagining the same show maybe with different leads other than your favourites and ask yourself if you would still appreciate the show, I guess then you will be able to get a clear and unbiased answer.

CC has a major competitor in the form of Diya Aur Baati Hum in terms of viewership. I personally hate the show DABH but unfortunately a vast majority of the TV audience love that show and its against that one that CC has to stay afloat and to do that , CC will need much more than normal romantic cliches and already seen and done saas-bahu situations.

I love Sanaya Irani to an extent that cant be explained and I watch this show only for her and will continue watching no matter where the story goes but that doesnt make me justify the poor quality of the show, infact it hurts to see her getting wasted in such a poorly written script that offers no surprises to the viewers.

I will say this again!! It will take time!! 😊 And she did fight for the other bahus regarding the saree issue but yet again Umaben manipulated the situation which ended up with the bahus refusing to wear salwars!! It was not CC's fault!! She was trying to helped them but she doesn't know what games Umaben is playing!! And right now CC is in the process of trying to learn and fit in the family!! She still feels like Umaben has accepted wholeheartedly!! So, in return she's trying to fit in and learn the rules!! But I'm sure all that will change once she gets to know that she's being played!! 😉 Let's not mention DABH!! 😡😆 I hate that show and it's melodrama!! 🤢 I feel CC has a better approach in doing the saas-bahu angle!! And I don't think Umaben is evil, she just has a big ego!! She wants to be in control!! She's an lazy old woman who just wants her bahus to serve her all day while she lives like a queen!! 😲 Thus, she doesn't want someone like CC in her life or else her paradise will become an quick sand!! 😆 Because CC is a modern thinker, she can and will change all the rules!! And yes, she is very possessive of her son!! 😲 'With CC at his side, he will not remain a mama's boy for long!! 😆😆 And that's problem for her!! 😕

you yourself wrote and know that the rule "everything that comes in a way and goes against our opinion" ruin that degrade that 😊 and apparently the fan grp who are degrdaing the actor in a forum and thread where he has no connection... is the fan grp of the lady who calls him "hers" and talks about him to her new co actor who has better comfort level and chemistry with her than the over rated actor 👍🏼

Someone says There is no need to go gaga over a good looking couple when the show itself has no substance!
You kidding me! Then why is there a need to continue going gaga over a good looking couple whose show has long ended!

Who are all these people who are telling us who to go gaga over?
We love Sanuj, you have a problem, too bad!

If the TM is not part of any fan group or show on IF or does not hate any actor or show as she claims, then does she go around other forums and posting her constructive criticism of those shows as well?
If it is constructive she wouldn't refer to SI as what she referred to her as.

So someone says Planning & canceling HM is not a good track...Ahhh let me see I have heard this In a different context and different show. Oh yes...that show where no HM track was shown between the leads much to the dismay of the viewers. Too much romance not needed? Mujhe to bas jalne ki boo aarahi hai! (we have lots of Ranjanas trolling the CC forum ever since the new MAnav took over) jealousy over the romance...ha ha!

Infact, most of the problems and negatives being pointed out here in the name of constructive criticism can be found in any show ( including both of SI previous shows) or any BW movie of BW biggies & wannabes.

It's just a question of what you choose to focus on and who is looking at it.

I am thoroughly enjoying CC because I do not view it with expectations from her previous shows.
I watch it for the sheer pleasure of seeing her perform!
If that makes me a blind fan, so be it!

As far as constructive criticism, I would like to read the same for the shows & movies of the favorites of the constructive criticizers!

You know what, the less said the better when it comes to DABH or better out it Lamp & Wick.

All the reasons you have given above, these are the same stuff I kept telling myself for quite sometime but eventually a realisation comes that its always the initial take of a show that sets its route.

I have been observing other shows, if you fail to make that mark which says that this is what we intend to show in this show, then later on the show will take twists and turns, more like a trial and error method where you try out different stuff and see what the audience likes and in that process, the chams and essence of the story goes.

I have no offence to Khoobsurat fans if any here, but the show failed from the start and then the makers tried outr scenarios thinking one or the other will please the fans and eventually it lost its grip totally.

Any show when it starts out, they have a theme, and it should consolidate that theme before moving onto anything else.and thats exactly what went wrong with ChhanChhan, at a time when the show should be cementing its theme, its showing the lead character, wavering a little offtrack, she is being timid and regressive which is not what a girl of today is, specially when she is denied her basic rights based on gender bias.

Umaben isnt the normal definition of evil, yet she is shown to win her causes atleast partially which is again going a step back.

I am more worried about the message the show is giving out, a lot of our TV audience like we all know is also the middle age group and they are mainly looking for a reason to say that this is how girls of today should be, dance to your mother in law's tunes yet struggle to make your way out and thats something that annoys me to no ends and shows like CCs are showing a lead character who is educated and yet she is being shown regressive and I dont want older community pointing out to CC and telling girls at their home, "that you should be meek and obedient like this " .

I pretty much take a shows theme seriously if am watching it, and I cant go by only entertainment value, the message it gives out matters and maybe I have this attitude coz I have seen a lot of people around in our society using TV shows as an example to live their own lives which is why I feel shows no matter which one should be responsible for what they depict.

Rest of the things apart,

My main let down has been Umaben
I am not able to reconcile my expectations of the show to what is now
I was an avid watcher
I expected Umaben will be funny, even mean but not evil
To think of throwing out a bahu after 30 days
To do it with unscrupulous manipulations hurts me as a woman
I always kept away from saas bahu shows but turned to this only for sanaya
But the way Umaben is portrayed is worse than the saas in other shows
Another problem is the timing of the show
It airs at 9 when my son and hubby and in laws are sitting for dinner
At that time when romantic scenes come I am not able to do anything
It gets awkward especially with my son
I watched sanz previous show alone or in laptop knowing there are going to be scenes
but in cc it is quite unanticipated as it promised to be a family show
Of course post marriage there are bound to be scenes
but the waist chain scene right after the puja episode was a little surprising
So, on the whole I again pushed t the laptop to watch, when I do watch
As for chemistry I will give it time though they look good
But for me chemistry is not about romantic settings and hot scenes
I look for it in drab scenes like everyday cup of tea
show of concern
fighting
teasing
irritating
laughing
crying
...in short the rainbow of emotions which make life
So I will wait for that to comment about chemistry
On the whole the show can still do better if the story is focused and it sticks to the real theme
Right now the makers seem to be in the pressure to increase TRPs
Don't blame them because shows needs TRPs
But then what they need to think of is how to build the suspense, how to extract the most out of the acting abilities and how to bring out CC's troubles in such a way that audience stay glued to see her battle the evil around her
I guess it will take time
So till then I rest my case

You said it all rima.

Well written analysis of the show.

Waist chain scene was not after the puja but in fact

it was during puja which was so strange.

Agree with you show needs increase in TRP but for

that they need a story which is completely absent from the show.

Uma Ben as u said it could be manipulative but not evil.

I cannot relate CC to modern girl.

She used to be professional but cvs forget about it.

Going into FIL and MIL room while they were sleeping is not modern for me.

Water bottle scene can such scenes will help in rising TRP.

All in all a good script is much needed to save the show.
