@Rima Di. i agree with you when you say that Umaben's character was a let down. for me even CC's characterization is a big let down. The show does not connect with all its forced attempts to glorify one girl's POV in the name of "modernism". To portray the today's generation preachy girl as always in the right while showing the rest of the traditionally dressed elders as either regressive or plain evil is misleading. i would enjoy a clash of ideologies between UB and CC rather...instead they show a woman unreasonably and illogically hating on her DIL without even caring about her son's happiness which is kinda unreal.
lack of emotions is the main defect in the writing. everything, every relationship comes across as forced on screen, the execution tepid and the situations illogical! Manav has a 360 degree character change with a face change, all the suit the romance angle which sadly falls flat and the scenes come out as mechanical, contrived! i dont feel the need to go ga ga over a good looking couple when the show itself lacks in substance!🥱 i dont feel the need to go blind to its flaws just coz one of favorite actors is acting in it!

There is no need for insecurities and jealousy!! This show and previous show are way different!! People need to relax!! 😊 End of the day they are actors who do their jobs!!

Like it or not the show is here to stay and will go for awhile

I thought Soaptea is never coming back to TV what's the big fuss about she's just an actor working to earn a living they need to grow up!

You echo my feelings 100%. UB is plain evil and her character is uni-dimensional. I kept on and off the show thinking they will change the characterization and with all the changes the team is doing for the show, wish they could concentrate on the show's premise and characterizations. The way they are showing that modern girls don't know anything about wearing sarees, cooking and the traditional DIL's as one who don't know anything about modern gadgets and its advantages doesn't gel with me well. I have seen my uneducated MIL using kitchen gadgets with much ease than Ranjana and Sanjana are shown here and my MIL is about 75yrs old.

And the way everything is just brushed off the rug - CC's family and their dynamics, CC's profession, Mansi-Rughved's story, Himanshu-simple, Purvi's life after marriage, Purvi's dad doesn't leave a good impression. This show is just 3 months old but so far they have so many loopholes in the script and unless the team bucks up, this show is not going to make an impact. And I think going forward it would be a normal saas-bahu show and there would be no clash of ideals and having high hopes from the show's earlier promises is just going to leave us feeling cheated.

@Bold:- Agree 100% on it. However people on this forum categorize me to be a basher just because I can't connect to the show and voice my opinion. Hence I don't come on this forum in the weekdays. Only on the weekend when I have my free time, I browse through some of my favorite forums and see what's happening.

It sure takes a lot of guts to come down to a forum where 95% of the people love the show and give an honest analysis whether it appeals to their liking or not and I appreciate you for that.
